According to The New York Times, on Saturday evening the President of the United States used a thoroughly disgusting gay-baiting slur to refer to people that previous presidents might have called “My Fellow Americans”. Speaking with congressional Democrats, our situationally unaware, amateur-night chief executive asked,
“Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care?”
Call me an old-timer, but I can remember when U.S. Presidents had class. They might have called their political opponents any number of things in private, but you would not hear of them demeaning American citizens.
It is a measure of how low-rent Professional Democrats have become that The New York Times reports this as though sexual slurs were not a new low in presidential discourse… merely another term that ‘progessives’ use every day to refer to their subhuman opponents.
Did President Obama intend to be disgusting in using that term? I hope so, because I sure am disgusted.

Filth to filth
johnt Monday, November 9th at 10:54AM EST (link)What is filth for if not to be shared between the filthy. Obama is a gutter rat, ignorant, crude, boiling in belligerence, living for the chance to hurt irreperably his country. Just like the Democrat party, twisted.

There is no opinion, however absurd, which men will not readily embrace as soon as they can be brought to the conviction that it is generally adopted. - Arthur Schopenhauer
This is just indicative of the inherent treason of the Democrat Party.
Tbone Monday, November 9th at 11:34AM EST (link)Obama is nothing more than a product of what has become the primary and driving fundamental nature of the Democrat Party which is partisanship. This is thoroughly demonstrated in the fact that the Democrats never get out of partisan campaign mode. Every action they take, whether it is criticizing every Republican action or only taking action if it suits some faction of their political base is done with the singular motive of maintaining or creating additional political power.
As has become readily apparent, even to Obama’s peripheral supporters, is that Obama, like the rest of the Democrat leadership, has never switched from campaigning to becoming President of the United States. Consequently, he cannot view his political opponents as being United States citizens deserving of his sworn duty to serve, lead and protect. They will, in fact, never be anything more to him than political opponents to be dealt with accordingly.
This is why the Democrats must be viewed as treasonous. The duties of the Federal Government are to protect the Nation and guarantee the constitutional rights of its citizens. As is easily demonstrable, these primary duties are never given consideration by the Democrats as they take actions to advance their consolidation of political power. As such, we can only come to the conclusion that the Democrat Party considers itself a body politic separate from the United States of America which, consequently, creates an inherent state of treason.

irishgirl Monday, November 9th at 12:39PM EST (link)If you remember if July or August (can’t remember) he literally made fun of the people at the tea parties. I remember the clip of him with his microphone, laughing and holding up his other hand like he was holding a tea bag. Utterly disrespectful to the citizens of the United States, who were (in most part) peacefully using their right to protest. I just remember thinking “does this guy not realize he’s the President of everyone, even if they agree with him or not?” Jerk.
It is compounded by the fact that Obama is not culturally

Here is the funny part, gracenearing
Jack_Savage Monday, November 9th at 12:20PM EST (link)To you, there is not a bit of difference in what the President of the United States should say and what a commentator on TV should say. Not one bit.
I look forward to your next post - “Obama isn’t so bad - Hugh Hefner on ‘The Girls Next Door’ said it! Before 10:00 pm!”
Try a little harder next time, and go read a biography of Ronald Reagan or either Bush to get some insight on what class really is. You haven’t had many examples on your side in the past 50 years.
No, the really funny part is...
gracenearing Monday, November 9th at 3:49PM EST (link)No, the really funny part is that early on in the protest movement, everyone — including RedState writers and contributors, politicians, the media, and the movement organizers themselves — called the protesters Teabaggers. The Neil Cavuto report is celebratory of the Teabaggers.
Really, do a quick search on RedState for “teabaggers.” The early posts and comments use Teabaggers as a legitimate and accepted term. Look at Free Republic: It still uses Teabaggers as a keyword for straightforward posts about protest activities.
Don’t you think it’s bizarre to heap such scorn on Obama for using “teabag” (and as an adjective!) when a good many of the people in the protest group refer to themselves as teabaggers?

Not my President anymore.
Jeff Weimer Monday, November 9th at 12:16PM EST (link)I used to think he was still my President, even though I disagreed with nearly all of his positions and initiatives.

Call me romantic, he's supposed to represent ALL of us
Jeff Weimer Monday, November 9th at 4:38PM EST (link)He is my boss, after all, and I recoiled at the “not my President” rhetoric form the left during the Bush years. Bush never treated his opposition this cavalierly, never gave them any reason to think he wasn’t at least considering their position.
This guy? He obviously thinks he’s President of only the part of the country that “counts” - the part that agrees with him.
Well, okay, I can play that game, too.

I took an oath
Jeff Weimer Monday, November 9th at 6:50PM EST (link)5 separate times. I swore to uphold the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I also swore to obey the orders of the Commander in Chief and the officers appointed over me.
I feel a bit torn. Is the CinC a domestic enemy?
No.
He was elected properly by my fellow citizens and is in charge IAW the Constitution. I will go where he tells me and do what he tells me to do.
Will I agree with it? Maybe, maybe not. Who hasn’t had a boss they disagreed with?
Will I oppose him politically? You bet. I have the franchise. I have the ability to petition my government for redress of grievances. I cannot do it in uniform, or let anyone think I represent my Navy or the government.
As a citizen, he is not MY President for just as long as he feels he isn’t. That may change next year, but I doubt it. I don’t feel the same vibe I got from Bill Clinton way back in 1993. He doesn’t have the political acumen or the smart advisors to tell him to moderate. They’ll just tell him we’re “teabag extremists” and don’t deserve his ear.
More’s the pity for a “post-partisan” administration that won’t reach out to the opposition.

After that, all bets are off. I will be no longer in his charge - he will be in mine. I hope he understands that, but I don’t think he does.
But then again, I’m just a “teabag extremist.” and not worthy of his attention.
Yet.

Soorry, I know this probably should violate Redstate’s No Profanity policy, but I am quoting a recenlty elected congressman and president here.
