Romney vs. Perry on Jobs

THE JOBS TOPIC is very important and it’s tied to illegal immigration.

RICK PERRY IS SOFT ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION BECAUSE HE WANTS CHEAP LABOR JOBS FOR AMERICANS.

PERRY IS AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALS WAITING TO HAPPEN.

This is why George W. Bush, Obama and George W. Perry are triplets on illegal immigration. Illegal immigration lowers wages and makes labor in America cheap and appealing to businesses overseas. So everyone will have a job but you will need 2 or 3 of these jobs to survive or be heavily subsidized by Government. Here’s more on Perry and jobs:

Rick Perry’s Texas is Ross Perot’s Mexico come north. Through a range of enticements we more commonly associate with Third World nations — low wages, no benefits, high rates of poverty, scant taxes, few regulations and generous corporate subsidies — the state has produced its own “giant sucking sound,” attracting businesses from other states to a place where workers come cheap.

In one significant particular, though, Perry’s policies fairly ape the Chinese. Over the past eight years, the state has given businesses nearly $500 million in grants and financial incentives to help them expand. Perry’s economic vision is the kind of race-to-the-bottom mercantilism we’ve come to expect from developing nations in the globalized economy, although, as China, Brazil and India illustrate, many such nations have begun to provide citizens with more schooling and better jobs as they grow wealthier. No comparable developments can be seen in Rick Perry’s Texas.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-sad-facts-behind-rick-perrys-texas-miracle/2011/08/16/gIQAxc3zJJ_story.html

Perry will have us on a race to the bottom and we will be a wasteland of cheap labor.

ROMNEY HAS A MORE OPTIMISTIC VIEW.

Romney wants to end illegal immigration and promote and encourage legal immigration and this will bring over better skilled workers and Americans will have better jobs.

THIS IS WHY THE SUBJECT OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION IS SO IMPORTANT.

Perry, Bush and Obama see this as a good thing but Romney sees illegal immigration as a threat to the American economy because he doesn’t think Americans want to be a wasteland of cheap labor.

Romney’s expertise in these areas is very important. We need a President that understands how to grow our economy in the midst of a growing Global Economy as well as maximize trade deals to get the most growth for our economy. Romney did this with billion dollar companies like Dominos Pizza and Staples.

SAY NO TO GEORGE W. PERRY!!

Sure Romney created private sector jobs, in China and elsewhere around the globe when he was with the Wall Street type company Bain Capitol. Creating jobs in his state when he was Governor, not so much. Perry created jobs right in his own home state, and you can’t fight or dispute the records that are all out there.

Romney would just go right on creating jobs around the world, much like Obama is creating jobs for Brazillans via Petrobras.

    • romney4prez

He also gave out over 800 vetos in liberal Mass and in the face of a sea of blue.

The truth is, Rick Perry wants to make labor cheap and attractive to overseas businesses and the only way you do that is by lowering wages.

This is why now he says he doesn’t want to talk about immigration until we secure the border. John McCain said this same thing. You can walk and chew gum at the same time. So you can talk about ending illegal immigration while securing the border.

Perry thinks he can hoodwink people by calling Sheriff Joe and saying, Let’s not talk about immigration just securing the border.

This is very important to our economy and job creation.

    two excerpts:
    _________________________________________________________________
Texas gained 299,800 jobs from June 2009, when the recession ended, through July 2011, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. That’s 43% of the jobs added to the U.S. economy in that time. Using a more conservative calculation that doesn’t count states with net job losses, Texas’ share drops to 29%, the Dallas Fed says.
    _________________________________________________________________
Romney’s campaign says he created 50,000 jobs during his time as the chief executive of the state and left it in a better fiscal position than he found it.

According to the non-partisan Massachusetts Taxpayer Foundation, jobs grew by 0.95% from December 2002 until December 2006, the fourth-lowest job-growth rate in the nation for that time.

This is a PARTIAL list of companies founded, funded, financed, or acquired by Bain Capital, a great American company created and built by Mitt Romney. A company that invest in American ideas, dreams, ingenuity and people:

How many jobs are American, and how many are foriegn.
How much money does Romney make off of these companies.
How many get Government subsidies, or special Government breaks.

      just asking.

I believe in the free market.

Private equity firms dont make business decisions after their work is complete. Maybe some expand overseas. Dont know. Dont care.

I eat at Dominos. I shop at Staples. I see Burlington Coat factories. I watch weather channel. I go to AMC theaters. Just because some are hightech companies that are unknown doenst mean they are foreign. Almost all are American based companies.

Romney makes money if they are public and he has stock. Again, I believe in the free market. I love how people, so consumed by animosity towards romney that they embrace liberal and socialist talking points.

He made money. Those businesses made more. More jobs. More products and services. Everyone wins. But some wade into class demagoguery. Eww, Romney is rich. Hate him. He’s a successful capilatist pig.

Doubt any get government breaks, at least at a rate that is higher than any other companies. Again, this is a anti-American free market attack. Bain gets in early and gets out. Whatever those companies get has nothing to do with Bain.

        • gekster

          I asked three questions.
You want to dodge them, then ok.

          • silentcal2012

You obviously dont know how private equity firms work. Your questions sound like questions a liberal would make.

And you did ask how much money did Romney make off being a successful businessman. Again, who cares.

Letting personal animosities turn so-called conservatives to turn to anti-free market and anti-free enterprise talking points. So sad. Maybe he should have worked in government for the last 25 years. He would be a good public servant and not one of those greedy capitalists.

          • gekster

How many jobs are American, and how many are foriegn.
            What are the #s

How much money does Romney make off of these companies.
            What is the amount.

How many get Government subsidies, or special Government breaks.
            Again, what are the #s.

          • silentcal2012

what are the numbers of Staples employees that are American and how many are abroad. You really think that’s some kind of gotcha question.

You look like a clown. He built them as American companies. Bain gets out of tis investment. Whatever they do is there busniness. I know that tens of thousands are American.

Romney makes nothing offt them unless he has stock. Really, you expect me to know all of his holdings? His stock portfolio.

What subsidies does Weather Channell get? What does that have to do with Romney. A hope more Perry supporters are like you.

            What a clown.

          • gekster

You just don’t have the info, do you.

          • gekster

can’t answer the questions, start calling names.

          • silentcal2012

No I dont have access to Romney’s personal portfolio, and I dont know his retatiners for jobs he completed in 1985.

You really got me and Romney good. Romney made money being a successful businesman. What an indictment. He’s screwed now.

Just as screwed because the businesses he invested in operate in a free market. Capital, goods and services flow freely across borders. Damn, you nailed Romney there too.

We need a candidate that closes the borders to all trade. We needa fascist government that tells businesses that they cant invest or expand overseas and must only hire American workers.

These lines of attack will really have Romney on the run.

      • Scope

of the companies on the list, I have no interest in looking further. Many of the companies are international. They may have a headquarters in the US, or in some cases small sales support offices, but many of the products are manufactured in other countries. For example VMLogix, now Cintrix, says on it’s website, Citrix partners with over 10,000 companies in over 100 countries. Ulterra has operations in China, Oman, Latin America, and Canada.

In other words, with Mittens vast access to the international community, due to his business connections, can you say globalist. That is why the liberals crave him as the next president. He can just take the country all the way out of a sovereignty, and into the vast world of globalization.

        • bk

is that Mitt Romney is the best choice for President since Warren Buffet isn’t running.

        • silentcal2012

How about all those Texas oil companies.

More anti-capitalist hysteria. So much for principles. You abandom them just because you dont like a candidate.

End private equity firms. Maybe Nancy Pelosi can co-sponsor the legislation.

        • gekster

Someone just doesn’t want to say it.
And include Iran in that list.

      • http://www.gmsplace.com/ civil truth

…the advice implicit in your screen name.

Though the question that most interests me is the third on – how much are these businesses depending on government contracts and subsidies/breaks – because that is the essence of crony capitalism, which is the plague that is destroying our nation’s governance.

Because it does seem to be a rule that those in the business world who most tout the benefits of government and the moral goodness of taxation just so happen to be those who benefit personally from government largesse – based on confiscating the property of others. Just a coincidence, right?

  • silentcal2012

Bright Horizons is a greedy globalist corporation founded by a rich greedy capitalist. Romney probably made money off it too. And all their workers live in Iran:

  • onemovoter

Really helped a lot when he was Gov of Mass for just 4 years. It helped so much that he went ahead with the job killing romneycare he signed into law. It is now growing out of control and is threatening to bankrupt the state.

If Romney new so much about running private business, he should have known his health plan would not have been good at all. Many of the other surrounding states had nearly 4% job growth, while his state had under 1%

Honestly this reminds me of the liberals saying a person’s intelligence is more important than common sense. That someone’s college grades are more important than the demonstration of leadership. We all know where that has lead us with the Big Zero. Seems Romney has much more in common with Obama than any other GOP candidate.

    • izoneguy

Because he wanted to “fit in” and be liked. He would do the same thing as President. He will not fight the democrats, he will go along with them to get along. We have to crush the democrats and break up the establishment.
Sure Palin says she will do it – I believe Rick Perry can.
Mittens is not much different than Obama. He is just a shade righter.

    • gekster

As per silentcal, companies founded, funded, financed, or acquired by Bain Capital, a great American company created and built by Mitt Romney.

      • silentcal2012

You do understand that Romney was a private citizen working for a private company that had private contracts with other private companies.

You seem to think its a clever question, but its stupid. Romney was not a public official, his records are not public. When he became governor, he hadnt worked at Bain for years. So the answer is none.

Romney salary as governor $1.00 a year.

The total salary for his entire political career $4.00.

Romney took four dollars from the taxpayers.

How much did career hack, professional politician and crony capitalist Rick Perry make in his 25 years leaching on the taxpayers ?????

Mitt Romney has tried politically to divest himself of the health-care reform bill he signed into law as Massachusetts governor. But the blind trusts he and his wife, Ann, share have kept a healthy hand in health-care-industry stocks, which have helped sustain their multimillion-dollar fortune.

          • silentcal2012

What do Eli Lilly and Pfizer and United Health Group have to do with his Mass Health plan. He passed bills that affected every segment of the economy and that means as a private citizen he cant have a portfliio.

Attacks are so ridiculous. Bain invested in a company in the 1980s. Then he passed a health care bill in 2003. Now, in 2012 he owns stock in Eli Lily and Pfizer!!!!! Its a conspiracy. Damn capitalists.

Coming from Rick Perry supporters, who is the dirtiest candidate in this race. Is this the type of stuff you’re searching for:
