Is Rick Perry really that Conservative??

Rick Perry is a Bush Conservative which means he isn’t one. Rush, Hannity and others pushed Bush in 2001 and I said that was a mistake and Perry is worse.

While I’d vote ABO — Anybody But Obama — Perry isn’t going to unleash this country and return to the principles on which it was founded.   Instate tuition for illegals?   Do a search on Slick Rick’s speech before former Messican Prez Vicente Fox where he lamented the fact that “some people” insist on borders!  He also throught it would be swell to have a “bi-national” healthcare program, where Mexicans would get (FURTHER) free health care and US citizens would foot the bill.

He’s been the gov for 10 years.  Where’s the surplus?  Do you know how the debt has grown while he’s been in charge?  He’s another W when it comes to spending.

Finally, Governor Gardasil didn’t back down until the TX legislature forced him.  I’m not getting my kids shot up with a vaccine that’s too new to have definitive data on long-term effects.  I’ve already got dictator Zero telling me I have to buy ObamaCare.  I don’t need a new one telling me I MUST inject my kids against four types of genital warts/cervical cancers that are spread via sexual contact.

Here’s a video of Democrats heaping praise on Perry’s soft as jello immigration stance.

Here’s Perry having a George W. Bush moment. We saw this act 4 years ago and we don’t need it again.

Keep this up and someone from management will skewer you before much longer, I’m sure.

Do you even read what people have been telling you for days?

      Is romney4prez REALLY that transparent?

      Answer: YES

This one reeks of troll…and BAD. Isn’t it obvious to all this person is determined to sink Rick Perry? From the leftist catch phrases to the obsession…agenda clear as a bell and straight from the bridge.

      • http://www.gmsplace.com/ civil truth

        Streiff skewered him earlier.

Do you really want to dig up old speeches?

Romney — Brought us Obamacare via Romneycare, used to support AGW, used to support (fill in the blank).

Perry is FAR more conservative than Romney will ever be.

    But that’s about it.

This is a delicious meal from Puerto Rico which is very easy to make, delicious, and reasonably inexpensive (most expensive part is the wine).

    Ingredients

    1 pound chicken drumsticks
    1 tablespoon adobo seasoning
1/2 (.18 ounce) packet sazon seasoning
    1/2 teaspoon salt
5 large red potatoes, peeled and thickly sliced
1 large red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1 large green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    5 cloves garlic, minced
    1 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1/2 cup dry red wine
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 fresh or dried bay leaves
    Directions

Wash the chicken and pat dry; place into a large bowl. Season with adobo seasoning, sazon seasoning, and salt. Place the legs into a slow cooker, and cover with the potato slices.
Puree the red pepper, green pepper, onion, garlic, cilantro, olive oil, wine, cumin, and oregano in a blender. Pour over the chicken and add the bay leaves.
Cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours, until the chicken is easily removed from the bone.

I’ll contribute one,… the Bacon Latte
        ——

Prep time 2 hours 10 minutes

Actual cooking time is about 4 minutes.

        What you need:

        An espresso machine

7 slices BACON (FRESH, THICK CUT PREFERRED)

        2 shots fresh-brewed Espresso Coffee

2 cups 2% milk or skim (whole steams worse)

1 Tablespoon of REAL Maple Syrup

        Heavy Whipped Cream to finish

        PREP- BACON INFUSED MILK

        1. Cook 6 of 7 strips , shake briefly when pulling off griddle and drop immediately into sealable jar/jug of 2 cups milk.

        Refrigerate for 2 hours.

Chop remaining bacon into 1/4″ strips. cook, dry, set aside for garnish.

        COOK:

        1. Remove bacon from milk after the infusion. Set milk aside.

        2. Brew 2 shots espresso

        3. Set aside 1 TBLS maple syrup while brewing espresso

        4. Steam (DO NOT OVER FROTH) the baconmilk

        5. Drop syrup FIRST then shots then the steamed milk quickly into large mug. Stir slowly for 10 seconds (make sure you leave room for garnish).

        6. Garnish with whipped cream and the bacon pieces.

        Mew

(I stole this from Ace of Spades a while back but have not been bold enough to try it out yet)

as a suggestion as a response to a troll.
        Put up my chili recipi.
someone said it sounded good, and they would try it.
I don’t know if I heard from him again.

Any way, my recipi for chili.

        Grandpas stoplight Chili recipe

        ingredients;
2 lbs ground or cubed meat. What ever meat you like.
        Beef, pork, venison, buffalo.
1 cup each, red, yellow, and green bell peppers.(hence, stoplight)
        1 cup chopped celery.
1 cup chopped onion, white, red, yellow, those purple ones, doesn’t matter.
2 packs chili seasoning mix, your favorite brand.(I use McCormick@)
1 12 oz. can tomato paste.
2 cans diced tomatoes, with the juice, or two to three cups diced garden tomatoes.
3 to 4 to 5 cans kidney beans, dark or light or mixed. (you can also use cooked pinto beans if you don’t care about Global Warming).
2 or 3 cloves garlic or 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
(I don’t cook with salt or pepper, but season to taste if you like).

In a lightly oiled pan, start to brown the onion and garlic.
Put in the ground beef or meat and cook. Drain the grease after the hamburger is cooked.
Here you can drain all, half, or none, you are the cook.

In a large cooking pot, mix the paste with 4 cans water for thick, or five cans if wanting a thinner chili.
Mix the chili mix with one cup water per pack and add to pot.
Add the meat and celery and bring to a standing boil.
(when you stir it up and it keeps boiling, that is a standing boil).
Then add the peppers and diced tomatoes and then bring to a standing boil again.
Put the temp on low, (1/4 to 1/8 heat, just enough to keep a low or soft boil with lid on) put on a lid and let simmer for half an hour.
During this half-hour, let the beans drain in a colander.
This is so the bean taste doesn’t overwhelm the chili.
After a half hour, put in the beans, bring to a standing boil once again, lower the temp, replace the lid and let it cook for another half-hour.
Turn it off, remove from heat, and let it stand for about ten to fifteen minutes.
If you want to add hot peppers, add whenever you like, from when you do the onions and garlic, to when you let it steep, or when served.
(I add 1/8 cup jalapeno juice when putting in the meat).

This does make a lot, so have a big enough pot.
(divide ingredients in half for less, obviously).

When served, if you want, top with fritos and/or shredded cheese, any kind. Taco sprinkle cheese is great.
        The grandkids love it.

note: make sure to stir often so the tomato paste wont stick to the bottom and burn.
If the kids don’t like onions, cut them big so they can pick them out.
        Enjoy

It was pretty good, and I’ve made it twice since. Forgot to give you credit for it. (Pretty inexpensive, too, which always helps.)

if all you’re even going to do is to tell why Perry shouldn’t be President.

    • romney4prez

I know people want to live in a fantasy world where Rick Perry is this true conservative but he’s far from it. I said the same thing about Bush in 2001 and these same so called conservatives pushed Buish but were upset when he pushed for Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

PERRY WILL BE WORSE THAN BUSH.

But conservatives are no different than liberals. You could see Obama coming with his horrible programs a mile away but democrats were living in a fantasy world that Obama’s the one.

This is the same with conservatives. First Bush was the next Ronald Reagan, then it was Fred Thompson and now it’s Rick Perry. It’s really shameful that Rick Perry and President Reagan are mentioned in the same breathe.

So if so called conservatives want to live in imaginary land where Perry is a true conservative then they will have to live with their decision to delude themselves.

      • aesthete

If it’s a troll, all you’re doing by replying in good faith is feeding it.

If it’s a good faith poster that’s fixated on Romney for whatever reason, responding in good faith just gives it an excuse to keep posting this stuff.

Don’t respond, or if you do, make flippant comments. Above all, avoid substance. Remember kids,

But Perry is much more conservative than Romney. Not even Romney backers would contend that any action by Romney as Mass governor was remotely conservative outside of the boundaries of that state.

At this point I’ve come to the conclusion that you are trolling and, according to other posts you’ve made on other sites, you really aren’t even a Romney supporter.

So I hope you’ve had fun.

The vast majority of conservatives would stipulate that government is not there to service adults’ whims, but that part of its function is to ensure some bottom shelf for how children are treated. While we would certainly have problems with how the CPA is currently run, or with public schools being the only option available for taxpaying parents, I doubt that conservatives would favor a complete absence of government support for K-12 education or making it legal for parents to abuse their children.

because Romney lives in liberal New England and isn’t a border state.

It’s one thing to bitch about “the problem” and offer “the final solution” from a distant state than actually live in one where illegal immigrants have become a part of the community.

Get use to any articles on any Republicans having a liberal bias to them.
This article had a fair amount of editorializing.

Now contrast that with let’s say – articles written about the stimulus or ObamaCare……

At first blush the liberal writers were praising Obama with lavish words.
Most of the world believed what was written. Only until you peel back the layers
do you see the rotten core.
