Obama the empty suit

VEEP and Clinton are convinent distractions when you have no record and nothing to say

Some think Obama blew it with his vice president pick. I don’t. It’s part of a beautiful stragey to keep the pundrity and press so focused on drama and gimmicks. That’s all they report. An inattentive public will watch the spectacle. Never realizing nothing of importance will have been said.

I know this is truly cynical but really is anyone noticing the Obama campaign in one year of time has managed to say nothing. His opponents have but have been unable to break through the media’s protective coverage. While cracks have appeared in the hull of USS Obama. It could still make port into the White House.

He is sailing right pass the iceberg this national convention is for him. Could you imagine 4 days of Hope and Change in the most flowery language possible. It would be like a 100 word essay stretch out to make a 1000 word essay. It would come painfully obivious all Obama has to offer is just words for the next four years. Unfortunately, it will be the same ones over and over again. Yes no hope and no change from the mantra of Hope and Change.

My prediction is we open with the Obama’s biography. The next few days the Clintons take a self absorb moment to toot their horns. Press will wonder about the ramifications–will Democrats be able to unify. Then out to Invesco Field to learn “Obama is the one we are waiting for (HOPE) and now is the moment we start the CHANGE to heal the world.”

WHAM-BAM!! Nothing said but it did seem historical.

PS McCain is BUSH’s third term.

I agree completely. Obama has spoken of change without specifics. It is actually frightening when you think about it.
Having been a Democrat for many years, I have decided to vote for J. McCain.
Obama lacks the experience we need in Washington. I see him as more self serving and arrogant young man wanting to glorify himself.
McCain has dedicated himself to this country, from his years of military service and on Capital HIll. I believe he has addressed many of the issues that Americans are concerned about in greater detail than Obama. They may not be the answers we want to hear but they are honest and realistic ones.
During the DNC we will hear not only Obama’s “biography” and “100 word essay stretched out to 1000 word essay” but “sugar coated half truths” to the questions that weigh all our minds.
As we watch lets really listen-if you can, and ask ourselves..Does he really make any sense.
Because to me, he doesn’t. And believe me I have tried to listen.

Paz. I’m glad to see a democrat supporting John McCain. The reason as strong conserative, I was disappointed with John’s nomination. When it was down to Hillary, Obama, and McCain, I would joke that my choices would be a liberal democrat, Obama, corrupt democrat, Clinton, and conserative democrat, McCain. I really felt democrats couldn’t lose because they own the fields.

As I listen to Obama, I came to the conclusion Obama is an unknown. It came clear to me when discussing it with democratic friends Nuclear Energy. Obama position of supporting Nuclear Energy if the disposal of the waste safe.

My green friend thought Obama would not build nuclear plants. While my blue dog friend thought he would. When I pointed out that each thought the exact opposite. They agreed that Obama really hadn’t said and they were projecting.

It is the same with costal drilling. Obama is for it if it’s in a comprehensive package and yet personally against it. I’ve just use these examples along with FISA, Public Financing, Victory in Iraq as reason why you can’t argue issues with Obama. You really don’t know where he stands and has too short of a record to understand how he operates.

That is my true opposition to Obama. He isn’t like other Presidents in that he doesn’t have a track record of success. His election is the equalivant of taking a College grad and making him the CEO of General Motors.

Sorry I digress… I’m just glad you took the fig leaf–John McCain Nomination– offered to Blue Dog Democrats to help unite the country.
I’m now firmly on board with McCain because he really is the only one ready to be President from day one.
