KELLY AYOTTE IS THE CONSERVATIVE TO SUPPORT IN NH SENATE RACE

In response to some a recent post by a fellow RedStater, I felt it necessary to make clear what the situation is in New Hampshire. The republican primary for Senate is two months away and it has become a horse race between Bill Binnie and Attorney General Kelly Ayotte. Two other candidates, Ovide Lamontagne and Jim Bender are also in the race but they each have been stuck in the low single digits for months now, with Ovide’s support depleting since his entrance into the race. Bender is pro-choice and pro-gay marriage and Ovide is a two time statewide loser from the 90′s who lost by more than 15 points in both races in good republican years.  Ayotte still maintains a small lead over Bender, but the time has come for Conservatives to put their money with their mouth is and support Ayotte.

Bill Binnie is no moderate. Period. He is a liberal. He is for amnesty and has come out against Arizona’s law. He is a social liberal like Bender and supports abortion and gay marriage. He has given money to democrats in the past and has gone as far to say that he doesn’t like the GOP because they are pro-life. He has been open to tax increases as a means to lower the deficit. And this is only a brief summary of his liberalism. However, in an open primary and because he is self-funding his race with his millions, Binnie is nipping at Ayotte’s heals and conservatives cannot stand flatfooted any longer.

Ayotte is a conservative, no doubt. She is a staunch social conservative and is a tough on crime no nonsense prosecutor. She supports Arizona’s law and condemns Amnesty. She is strong on national security and believes in enhanced interrogation and military tribunals. She is a fiscal conservative and has signed several pledges affirming so.

Ayotte must be our Rubio in New Hampshire, otherwise we will be stuck with Binnie who is even worse than Charlie “For the People” Crist. It’s time to fight for freedom and get behind the conservative Ayotte. Do we really need another Jim Jeffords or Crist? Or do we want someone who is a commonsense conservative, who will fight against Obama’s overreaching government.

The answer is Clear.

I thought so-called “real” conservatives who were preparing to take down Kelly to push Ovide were foolish before. Hodes has a great chance to beat Ovide. And while Kelly may not be ideal to some, she fits the NH mold well.

But two more things should deter those who want to push one of teh single digit candidates.

First, the primary is in September. The damage done will have an impact in the general. Unlike, say Indiana, where Coats has time to heal.

Second, Binnie is a legitimate threat. With a liberal Republican on her left flank knocking on the door, any push to tear Kelly down for Ovide or Bender is just dumb. Conservatives will split the vote and we will get a William Weld in the Senate.

It’s bad enough when that other guy did it, so do n’t start copying him.

Hodes has no chance to beat Ovide. Ovide presents the starkest contract to Hodes. Hodes is stronger on guns than Kelly is!

Voters have a chance to pick the right candidate in the pimary, and that is Ovide Lamontagne.

Please stop smearing Bender as not being prolife or being pro gay marriage! He is the only one that is a Constitutionalist.

Ayotte didnot prosecute voter fraud, does not support castle doctrine, supported Sotomayor and did not prosecute Democrats accused of serious crimes.

Binnie is a former Democrat supported by companies who supported OBAMA.

Any of them will beat Hodes, but Ayotte is nothing more than a robotic extension of DC establishment types like McCain.

    GET SMART won’t you?
Stop telling NH what to do!

Just look who is supporting him..

    Mack’s Apples, big Obama cheerleaders.

The most recent polls show Lamontagne has increased his polling numbers from 9 to 21 percent in about 4 weeks without running TV ads while Binnie has fallen to 17 and Ayotte remains stuck around the low 30s.

Your idea that conservatives have to vote for Ayotte is wishful thinking for Ayotte supporters.

All conservatives need to do is pick the real conservative in the race and Lamontagne will not only win the primary but defeat Hodes and make real change in Washington.

    On Abortion:
State government has the responsibility to regulate in this area without interference from any branch of the Federal government. I believe in strong parental consent laws, I oppose Federal funding for abortion and I support the ban on partial birth abortions. I believe that this is a very difficult decision and should be decided by a woman in the privacy of her doctor

It is amazing to me the majority of people who support Ayotte and oppose Ovide Lamontagne do so because they have been told by the political elite he cannot win. This is more frightening when you realize that in the same breadth they say LaMontagne is the better candidate.

The fact of the matter is he is the only candidate in the Senate race who has actually won a state wide race and defeated a sitting Congressman.

The fact that he lost an election to Jeanne Shaheen in 1996 says alot more about 1996 then about Ovide
