I doubt there will be many people in the cage, unless police use it for a holding cell. Why bother to show up and be mad then agree to just be mad when you are inside a secluded zone?

As for throwing excrement…I hope there are plenty of fans around.

Over the past months I’ve talked to you about the DNC coming to Denver and that the likelihood of the mainstream media missing (I’m certain only accidentally, of course) some of the more juvenile, irresponsible, and controversial activities and demonstrations.

We are assembling a schedule of events, and there will be protests and rallies for everything from illegal immigration to socialized medicine to anti-Semite/pro-Palestinian demonstrations to hippies spelling the word “PEACE” with their naked bodies in Civic Center Park.

Lots of citizens, both from Colorado and across the country, won’t have the opportunity to make the trip out here to our beautiful state, so we’re going to do them a favor and document, distribute, and expose the shenanigans that are almost certain to happen. Whether you want to be down in the crowds behind a camera, in front of a camera reporting, back at base blogging, weighing in on the policy implications of rallies, editing videos into montages, or captioning photos, I need you and your enthusiasm.

In a few weeks, we will have a unique opportunity to expose an irresponsibility, a mob mentality, and a general disrespect for both private and public property. I think that come November, Coloradans may take to heart when a political party comes to town and trashes their state capital – we just need to make sure they get to see it for themselves.

If Coloradans were mad at Rs in 2006, then imagine how they’ll feel toward the Ds if these protests and rallies make this DNC rival the 1968 Chicago DNC… someone needs to be there to document it without the spin of the mainstream media. That’s where we come in.
