Nobel Chairman Jagland: Sorry about the confusion
By: randy streu (Diary) | October 9th at 06:50 PM |
It was a visibly embarrassed Thorbjoern Jagland that gave today’s press-conference. After an international outcry of befuddlement over the Norwegian Nobel Committee’s awarding of its highest honor to Barack Obama — a man, in a departure from normal Nobel protocal, with absolutely no actual accomplishments in his life — the Committee called the conference to, in the words of one observer, set the record straight. | Read More »
The buck, uh, stops, uh … waitaminute, who said anything about a buck?
By: randy streu (Diary) | October 3rd at 07:19 PM |
How low the Democrat party has sunk since the heady days when President Harry S. Truman adorned his desk with that now-infamous slogan! “The buck stops here.” Now that is leadership. I, of course, wasn’t alive during the Truman presidency and honestly haven’t studied his administration well enough to say one way or the other whether the words on that plaque were just that, or | Read More »
Obama, Ezekiel, and the Rationed Healthcare Lifeboat
By: randy streu (Diary) | July 30th at 09:03 PM |
(start video around 2:45) Democrats like to say a lot of things about healthcare, in order to calm the jitters of the voting public. Of course you can keep your current health insurance, they say. The public option will simply keep those private companies in check. Furthermore, they say, fears of rationed care are unfounded — and clearly the fear of mandated euthenasia is pure | Read More »
It’s not a mask; it’s a very convenient TelePrompTer

I’ve been thinking about Obama. About the things he does and is doing. I’ve been thinking he reminds me of somebody. I don’t know, though. I can’t put my finger on it. Maybe it’s the way he pals around with oppressive dictators who suppress dissidents. Maybe it’s the way he fights for a healthcare system that could ration the elderly right out of coverage. Perhaps | Read More »
Barry, that’s what a Trojan Horse IS – UPDATED
By: randy streu (Diary) | June 16th at 09:01 AM |
In his speech to the AMA yesterday, President Obama decried criticism of a public health plan as partisan paranoia. “What are not legitimate concerns,” he said, “are those being put forward claiming a public option is somehow a Trojan horse for a single-payer system. ” Not legitimate? Well, let’s see. A “Trojan Horse,” of course, refers to the legend of the Trojan war in which a giant | Read More »
To what do we pledge?
By: randy streu (Diary) | January 22nd at 10:15 PM |
Like many others, I’ve been contemplating in disgust the celebrity “pledge” video for Barack Obama (warning, viewing may induce vomiting). And thinkers and writers from our own aglanon to Andrew Brietbart have written wonderful and appropriate responses to the celebs in question. So I’m not going to do that here. Not really. Instead, I’m simply going to share what I learned from the video. Or, | Read More »
Courting the Nobama vote
By: randy streu (Diary) | October 22nd at 07:45 PM |
Obama is polling pretty well. This is not a statement intended to get me into some drawn out and pointless argument over the validity of polls; it is merely a statement of fact. The fact is, even if we, the GOP, manage to pull this thing out, it is very likely going to be very close. If we do not want Obama to win, then, | Read More »
Gov. Richardson: George W. Bush should have saved the economy from the Democrats — wait, what was the question?
By: randy streu (Diary) | September 17th at 07:31 AM |
Bill Richardson was on Fox News this morning discussing Obama’s economic plan. Not much to write home about, but if you had the stomach to sift through (or even sit through) the BS, there were a couple of gems worth noting. Fox: (after Richardson talks about CEOs and golden parachutes) isn’t it true, though, they were getting the golden parachutes during the Clinton years as | Read More »
Obama: Empty suit, empty words, empty head
By: randy streu (Diary) | September 10th at 10:09 AM |
(via oo7angel, h/t Rod Patrick) People can debate whether or not this falls under the definition of “plagiarism.” But I find it interesting that some of Obama’s “Best” stuff is often other peoples’. For example: or: and (last three videos from Chrisoh7) By the way, I note I’m using videos compiled by other people. Ironic, no? I’m also giving them credit for it. Get the | Read More »
New RNC Ad: not a good play.
By: randy streu (Diary) | September 10th at 07:32 AM |
This is a great ad, in the sense that it makes Obama look like a bad guy, fires up the female demographic and makes Republicans laugh. Here’s my problem with it: it’s a deliberate misrepresentation of what actually happened: Now, Obama can be taken to task for misrepresenting McCain’s views. He can be taken to task for, through his actions and voting record, defining “Change” | Read More »
