New Poll: Clinton and Trump Practically Tied…in Mississippi?

According to a new Mason-Dixon poll released Tuesday, Trump could be responsible for turning the state of Mississippi blue for the first time in 40 years.

Although he won the Republican primary in the state last month with 47% of the vote, Donald Trump only hangs onto a 3 point lead in the latest poll against Hillary- 46 percent to 43 percent, with 11 percent still undecided.  Trump’s 3 point lead also falls within the margin of error, so essentially the state would be up for grabs.  For comparison, Ted Cruz and John Kasich both beat Hillary in Mississippi with double digits.

If Mississippi turned blue this election, it would be the first time the state voted for a Democrat since Jimmy Carter beat out Gerald Ford.

What a statement.
