CRAZY: California DOJ Seizes Planned Parenthood Videos- Raids Filmmaker’s Home

David Daleiden, the pro-life activist who made the damning undercover Planned Parenthood videos, had his home raided by California Department of Justice agents on Tuesday, the AP reports.

The DOJ agents searched his apartment and seized all of the video footage, along with his personal information, Daleiden stated on Facebook.

Interestingly enough, Daleiden claims that while the DOJ agents seized all video footage and his personal information, they left behind documents that still implicate Planned Parenthood in the illegal trafficking of fetal tissue.

The Center for Medical Progress, a group which Daleiden founded, issued the following statement on Facebook:

DAVID DALEIDEN STATEMENT ON PLANNED PARENTHOOD AG KAMALA HARRIS ATTACK ON CITIZEN JOURNALISM

Today, the California Attorney General’s office of Kamala Harris, who was elected with tens of thousands of dollars from taxpayer-funded Planned Parenthood, seized all video footage showing Planned Parenthood’s criminal trade in aborted baby parts, in addition to my personal information. Ironically, while seizing my First Amendment work product, they ignored documents showing the illicit scheme between StemExpress and Planned Parenthood. This is no surprise–Planned Parenthood’s bought-and-paid-for AG has steadfastly refused to enforce the law against the baby body parts traffickers in our state, or even investigate them–while at the same time doing their bidding to harass and intimidate citizen journalists. We will pursue all remedies to vindicate our First Amendment rights.

Back in July, Harris said that she planned to review the videos to determine if the Center for Medical Progress violated any state charity or reporting requirements.  As Daleiden mentioned in his statement, coincidentally enough, Harris has recently accepted donations from Planned Parenthood for her US Senate run.

The spokeswoman for AG Kamala Harris’ office, Rachele Huennekens, stated she couldn’t comment on an ongoing investigation.  How convenient.

It’s nice that California’s taxpayer money can be funneled to the really important things instead of, you know, cracking down on the illegal trafficking of baby parts.

Government overreach at its finest.
