My personal belief is a person’s faith is part of their character and forms their boundries on which they base their decisions.

I didn’t want this to sound like the rants of an obsessive conspiracy theorist. I just noticed something that bothers me.

We have many excuses nowadays not to push forward on things corrupt politicians are doing.

It seems to be the blatantly illegal or immoral acts that are easier to get away with because they are unbelievable. It’s getting worse isn’t it?

Even some Republicans are not resigning to make way for better candidates.

Maybe it’s because I’m getting older and I’m getting pessimistic.

Yes get the facts, but then overload the media with them. Like where is Obama’s birth certificate? We still don’t know about Clinton’s health records. We may never see either.

Make the MSM say something negative about McCain and positive about Obama and the news will get out there.

Maybe Obama will open his mouth like his wife did, instead of trying to hide himself behind trumped up poll numbers.

The Muslim thing!?!? Can we give it a rest already?? The fact he has family that is still Muslim, of course, means something, but (again, IMO) this is a non-starter (except for those who are bigoted about the topic and they are already convinced by their prejudice to be against him based on all the Email rumors) and is just not dignified discussion, at least at the level it always seem to degrade to.

We, around here and other sites/organizations, oft forget many don’t awake from their ‘ignorant bliss’ and only start paying attention to the TV ads (and plausibly fall for the distortions and out-right lies of the Left) and the MSM (and, of course, their bias), etc… I agree with those saying we need to stick with the ‘effective’ arguments at this late stage and not appear to be groping/reaching. Let the Left keep the Race baiting going, that is very telling, we must keep a high-road. Though, I do consider the Ayers and all the other links to be a legitimate issue of CHARACTER (repeating MLK, content of one’s Character, not the color of their skin - Dem’s keep playing the race card, WE CANNOT!) and judgement.

If we can beat him in the voting booth, then maybe we can pursue this further–certainly before 2012.

First, there was Sen. McCain’s description of how he and his fellow POW’s prayed that God would give them the strength to endure their suffering, not for a miraculous prison escape.

Second, there is Gov. Palin’s oft misquoted prayer asking that what we do in Iraq “be a task that is from God.”

Third, Sen. Obama’s, “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for,” seems so full of godless pride that it would be rejected by any monotheistic tradition.

If I am not completely off base, I wish you would write a diary showing how inconsistent Sen. Obama’s beliefs are with Islam. If you wrote one back in RS 2.0, I’d love to see it reposted.

Odinga is a waste. Usually both sides in these affairs are abysmal. Historical US foreign policy is not pretty. We have long supported crooked regimes to defeat other crooked regimes. From our support of Stalin to Saddam to to KLA to Pinnochet, who cares. The AMerican Public is not going to catch fire with Odinga. Stick with the ammo that works. There’s plenty.

Dont equate complicated African geopolitics with that type of moral certitude.
