Please help (or… I miss the old RedState)

All my diary entries are gone. Nor can I access them on the archived site.

This server is V E R Y S L O W . . .

The main page is not showing correctly. Everything is in one column.

It seems harder to navigate. Maybe that’s just the learning curve.

Has such a thread already been written? I don’t know but if there has, I can’t find it.

Sorry to complain, but this new version is buggy. I know you guys spent a lot of money on it (I chipped in what I could).

    It told me I had no permission to post. That was after a 500 server error.

    Does anyone recommend diaries anymore? The list of recommended blogs never seems to change day after day. I do realize that the link to recommend a diary is very difficult to spot.

    Not to pile on, and I’m experiencing all of the same issues I think everyone else is, but why did we take away all of the links to the other rightwing blogs out there?

    This was one of the reasons Redstate was like a homepage for me – it was the easiest way to connect to all of the other important blogs out there. I’m dissapointed and hope they’ll be added back at some future date.

    As for all of the other issues – slow loading, odd page layout, etc., I’m sure that’ll all get sorted out.

    Just bring back my links! I find that I come to Redstate half as much now because it’s no longer my portal to others. Oh well…

      id be really interested in hearing about the visitor numbers for the old site versus the new site???

      I agree with aceintx- the site is dying slowly but is this because of the new layout/mechanics or just due to mid summer slow down????

    Can we at least underline and change the color of the recommend line of each post if we can’t make at an obvious button?

    How hard would it be to ramp the old site back up till the bugs get fixed on this one…In case the Mods haven’t noticed RS is dying a slow and painful death…the most posts to a majority of threads that I have seen is 12 to 16 with the exceptiong of the recommended posts that have hung up at the top of the page since the new site was launched.

    Don’t want to whine and complain but something must be done before this community dies away!

    My first attempt got eaten, after I spent the 10 or 15 minutes to enter it. My second attempt won’t even submit.

    I’m sorry, but I cannot stay around here burning time on a site that is this slow and buggy. Once already I said I may blow out of here until things get better, but I couldn’t stay away. After the frustration of losing a diary, this time I think I’ll follow through. This is bad, bad, bad.

    GAWD!!!! IT ATE MY RESPONSE NOW! JEEZ. This is fruitless. I’m outta here. This bug-riddled, molasses-speed server is too much for me.

    That’s causing the slow issue. But your old stuff should be available at the old site and your log in should still work there to get to it.

    to be able to post here at all….it takes me 2 to 3 times with getting an error to access diaries at all….it is very disheartening…..and slow…whew…I can read two other sites while I wait for Redstate to load up sometimes…guys…what is up?

    I’m having problems clicking on recent comments…sometimes it works, other comments come back unavailable…

    I feel really old!
