The Obama administration wants you to think that they’re banning some products of R. J. Reynolds in the name of safety, however the truth is Obama’s FDA is banning these new cigarette brands because they might appeal better to smokers. Obama is banning the free market, by penalizing companies for making their products more appealing, in one of the craziest nanny state moves yet.
To me the Jeb Bush candidacy is the GOP mirror image of the Hillary Clinton candidacy. Party apparatchiks and big money donors decided that the Tweedle-Dee-Tweedle-Dum(b) combination presented fewest risks to the status quo. Both were bland, milquetoastish types who would be damned unlikely to upset any apple carts. Both Bush and Clinton figured that it was their turn. So it was a perfect match. | Read More »
Britain has an obvious problem with radical Islam, leading to a drastic spike in terror attacks over recent years. To combat this problem, the British Home Office has released a plan in which they will require all clerics – including Christian and Jewish ones – to register with the Home Office and receive government “training” and security clearances: Imams, priests, rabbis and other religious figures in | Read More »
The Donald Trump fans have hit on a new talking point to try to convince skeptical conservatives to overlook Trump’s glaring lack of experience, questionable grasp of the issues, and electability problems and pull the lever for him on election day. The talking point is: Look, Trump is just like Reagan, and Reagan both won the election and turned out to be a pretty darn | Read More »
The 2015 House election for Speaker was historic. It was the first since 1925* in which more than one declared candidate from the same party received votes. Rep. Men? To the women of the pro-choice movement, you are generally useless, misogynistic pigs. Your ways bring vexation. The horrid practices you engage in like opening doors, daring to pay for the restaurant bill on a date, or respectfully complimenting a woman on her appearance are just the worst. You should be ashamed of these things, and you should seek to ingratiate yourself with the | Read More »
This is going to make certain people as upset as it made them when Rush said it, but it does not make it less true. The other day, Rush was talking about a segment of the conservative intelligentsia who think writing a column or delivering a clever line on television is all they need to do in commitment to the cause. They don’t want to | Read More »
ABC is just one of the many reasons my wife and I no longer let the kids watch television in our house. The network has decided to politicize The Muppets. First, Miss Piggy went on MSNBC to declare herself pro-choice and pro-everything as she got a feminism award. Now they’ve got the pro-abortion pig in Time Magazine discussing monogamy. This all comes on the heels | Read More »
Get ready. The Senate Republicans are about to engage in one of their regular bouts of “failure theater,” that favorite show of theirs where they pound their chests, declare their loyalty to the cause, and arrange the game so they are guaranteed to lose while telling you how hard they fought. Just check out this quote from Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO)66%: | Read More »
Scheduled to start at 8:30 PM Eastern time: C-SPAN is live-streaming the Donald Trump foreign policy speech here. I will be watching it, and I’ll let you know what I thought of it after it’s done. I imagine that it won’t be dull, at least. Updates after the fold.
The steady drip-drip of the Clinton email scandal is taking a toll on Hillary’s presidential ambitions. Since the scandal became widely known back in April, Clinton has lost over a third of the support she had to be the Democrat presidential candidate. Right now we know that Hillary’s email server was not “wiped” and we are fairly sure there is a back up server in | Read More »
The Center for Medical Progress has released a new video today, right as Congress is gearing up for a potential shutdown fight, which once again shows high ranking Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of aborted baby parts. You can watch the video here: Although this video is not as graphic and gut-wrenching as previous CMP videos, it is probably the most damning video | Read More »
There is a new Center for Medical Progress video out today showing, conclusively, that Planned Parenthood makes a significant amount of money from selling parts from dead babies, that they rely on it financially, and that they are terrified of the story on that revenue stream getting out. This happens while there is a fight over Planned Parenthood funding brewing on Capitol Hill and [mc_name | Read More »
Looks like the flopsweat is setting in on the Clinton campaign. Her precipitous fall in the polls, combined with the growing strength of Bernie Sanders, has her big money donors and the Democrat establishment panicked. As they can’t do anything about the things that are dragging Clinton down — her criminality, her inability to utter the truth, her epic failure in every office she has | Read More »
