MEMBER DIARY

Obama An Embarrassment.

The President of an oppressive third world oligarchy has been telling us just what he expects of us in an insulting diatribe that stretched several limits of credulity.

Calderon and Obama

His illegal immigrants are flooding our emergency rooms, our schools, public welfare schemes and our legal system, courts and prisons. The internecine drug wars tearing at the very substance of his country are the direct result of government corruption at every level.

President Calderon thinks you’re stupid… after his self righteous presentations to the Congress and the people of the country about the glories of illegal immigration, and how grateful we should be for absorbing millions of illegals. He went on to detail how unjust Arizona’s new immigrant enforcement law is and how illegals have human rights which our laws overlook.

I should have mentioned that Barack Obama set the stage for Calderon’s performance with a sophomoric rant about a ‘path to citizenship for aliens’. It’s the same thing we shot down during the Bush years. Giving it the good old politburo standing ovation, the DeMarxists looked like puppets on cue. The Republicans forswore the privilege. Calderon should certainly receive an award for raw out-and-out chutzpah.

Would anyone care to know how Mexico treats illegals as they come across the southern Mexican border? Two years in prison for a first offense and ten for a second. Non-citizens have no rights in Mexico. Mexico’s ‘General Laws’ see to that. Even a naturalized Mexican citizen is second class to native born Mexicans and may not participate in the Mexican political process, among other restrictions. Mexican illegal aliens are frequently beaten, robbed, or, in the case of women, raped.

So, Mr Calderon. Tell us again how your country would survive if we did close the border. My guess is it wouldn’t. Walk softly, Mr Calderon… you may regret your words before it’s said and done.

If you would, spend a little time investigating it yourself. The following is what you need to Google: “Social Justice in Catholic Church has had profound influence on me.” (Note that it’s a Foxnews article!) Now, what you won’t hear from Catholic talk-show hosts or politicians – e.g. Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Bill Cunningham, Bill Bennett, Newt Gingrich et al. – is that the Catholic Church suggests illegal immigrants “[gather] valid documentation NOW to prove their identity that they have been living and working in the United States” illegally! Who’s saying this? Before I let you know the name of this organization recognized by the Vatican, I will tell you that they receive funding from you and me, the generous taxpayer. Have you heard of CRS – Catholic Relief Services? To see what she is saying, follow the easy steps below. But, before I do this, here is the message from CRS about how illegals should act NOW:

If BHO, the Catholic Bishops and the rest would go redistribute their own wealth to these poor and downtrodden I’d be all in favor. But they don’t. They expect to use guilt-trips and false psychology to redistribute the wealth of others while they never miss a tee-time or a Stoli martini.

The Catholic Church does far more charitable work than any other organization on the planet. Do I really need to delve into the details of all the soup kitchens, homeless shelters, relief organizations, schools, hospitals, etc.? Your comment illustrates remarkable ignorance of the Church, and you really ought to do some more homework before making such accusations in the future.

As a man committed to his faith and also to the future welfare of his country, I would urge you all to be cautious when making blanket attributions to any particular organized religious group. There are literally hundreds of things we can agree upon as well as disagree upon and our founders guaranteed these expressions in our First Amendment. Making such blanket designations does no one any good, particularly we Conservatives.

One must work for positive and equally effective change in our country through the political process, not the religious process.

I do wish the MSM spent more time talking about the services provided by religious groups rather than focusing on the scandals.

People can positively affect change through religious, social, and political institutions, and I’m certain that you’re well aware of this. This site is a context for working through political institutions, but there’s nothing wrong with using the other two avenues. In fact, one could easily argue that the other two are more important.

I have issues with my church which as a Conservative I try to work for positive change. The Catholic Church does much good in providing services which alleviate government’s costs as I can personally attest to. Providing food and care as well as making Christmas brighter for families which have fallen upon “hard times” is a perfect example. We will be at it again this year with even more families who are now jobless with bleak prospects in the near term. It is just what we do.

Charity as you know, “begins at home”.

According to the Social Compendium of the Catholic Church, your wealth and my wealth “even when legitimately owned, always have a universal destination; any type of improper accumulation is immoral, because it openly contradicts the universal destination assigned to all goods by the Creator.” (328)

    And from Catholic Relief Services:

“…all the goods of the earth belong to all people”

I made my case an an earlier post titled: Obama “Spread the wealth around.” Again, when have you heard these Catholic radio, t.v. and political pundits discuss their Church’s stance on the “redistribution of wealth,” or how Rome wants “unions …to act in new ways?” In case you missed it, Rome says that “unions” should “[widen] the scope of their activity of solidarity (Key word: “solidarity”) so that protection is afforded not only to the traditional categories of workers, but also to workers with non- standard or limited-time contracts” even “to those who do not have a job, to immigrants, seasonal workers” etc. (308) So, as you hear Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Bill Cunningham, Bill Bennett, Newt Gingrich, John Boehner, Michael Steele, et al. call Obama a “Socialist,” remember where he got his “influence.” The proof is in the pudding.

“…protection is afforded not only to the traditional categories of workers, but also to workers with non- standard or limited-time contracts” even “to those who do not have a job, to immigrants, seasonal workers”

    Google “Vatican.va and Social Compendium”
