McCain – Will They Fall For Him Again?

Arizona has proven itself to be a pretty sane place. I hope that holds true through the primary election for the Senate race between JD Hayworth and John McCain.

I’d like to hope that Arizona would have better sense than to fall for McCain’s chameleon-like transformation into a closed borders, anti-illegal alien guy. Or, that along with people like the ever-detestable Lindsey Graham, he was perfectly willing to sell the American people down the road with his carbon tax scheme.

It cost twenty million dollars of McCain money to get the Senator this far. He did his best to destroy JD Hayworth with Arizona voters. What was disappointing was the support that McCain got from the Old Guard Republican Party back in the beltway. They were the same ones who backed McCain for President. McCain could prove to be a very negative factor in the US Senate. He simply cannot be trusted not to immediately revert to type once re-elected. Millions of Patriots have made it abundantly clear that we do not want business as usual from our elected representatives.

Political prognosticators from both ends of the spectrum are calling for what may be a political repudiation of historical proportions, with estimates north of fifty seats that could be lost by the DeMarxists in November. Further, there are some who are now openly speculating on the real possibility that the Senate could be lost to the Conservative Republican revolution as well.

McCain just cannot be trusted. He’s proven too many times that he’s willing to throw party and principles away. From the Gang of Fourteen to his willingness to sell us out on immigration… proof that he cannot be trusted is out there in abundance.

If you live in Arizona, please get to the polls and vote today. Gather your friends and family and get them to the polls.

…and that they vote for the non-perfect, but at least conservative, J.D.

McCain will propagate and rally the worst of the worst of the worst in the GOP at a time that we need the best of the best.

McCain could have lost to a stronger candidate, he is vulnerable, but I don’t think he’ll lose to J.D….

By the way, there are a couple nice silver linings in a McCain victory:
      – he’s a very effective bomb-thrower, stick-through-the-spokes tactician and he seems to have a serious dislike for the POTUS at the moment.
      - anyone who associates with McCain, forms a “gang of 14″ with him, follow him around like a pathetic puppy (Hey Lindsay, we see you!) we know need a good primary challenge.

McCain was beatable – potentially – this year with a real candidate. In order for that to happen, the Republican leadership in AZ would have to have contacted either Shadegg or Flake about a year or so ago. They didn’t so we end up with Chuckles the Clown.

This will be McCain in a walk for all the reasons I’ve written about over and over. The problem isn’t McCain. The problem is that JD is absolutely the worst candidate that is running for US Senate this year. Anywhere. Either party.

JD Hayworth is a good radio host. Very provocative and entertaining. Really good at late night infomercials about how to get “free money” from the government. And a “Birther”. Nobody I know in my neighborhood is voting for ole’ JD. McCain in walk on that one.

Now, US House District 3 is a totally different story. Erick Erickson endorsed Pam Gorman. My neighbors almost worked for her campaign too, because she is very good, and one of their friends is volunteering for her. The problem is she can’t raise money. At all. Next time, I think I will try and work for her too if she runs again. Erick is right, she is the best of the bunch. The problem is that Quayle (who has never voted here) and Moak (a con man as far as I can tell) have WAY more money, and the Democrat is attractive and well funded. Paulina Morris is interesting. She is a Cuban, and would be the district’s best advocate in border issues, but she is pro-choice. That might make her even more effective in a Nancy Pelosi led house, but this is a serious problem for me. Vernon Parker was endorsed by Sheriff Joe, and everybody knows it. Sheriff Joe is well liked around here, regardless what the national party might think. He (Vernon Parker) also raised a decent amount of money. Personally, I’m not impressed, and am becoming less impressed with each day. But, I think he is still better than Quayle or Moak. In the end, I think this race is going to be between Parker and Moak. My prediction? I hope I’m wrong, but I think Moak wins. YUCK!

Thankfully Arizona voters had more sanity than some of the gism spewed here. Onward to winning back the Senate!

      1. You’ve been here for almost three years and you have a total of four comments and three of those were in a diary that was apparently removed by the moderators.
      2. I won’t comment on the particular noun you used here other than to note that you SHOULD be blammed for use of the term.
      3. Your comment is totally wrongheaded. Republicans would hold the AZ Senate seat no matter who wins the primary. My dead white cat could beat the jerk the Ds have nominated and other than the filing fee, I wouldn’t have to spend any money to beat him.

Go back in your hole or just die. You won’t be missed.

Funny, that sounds like a personal attack, for which perhaps you should be blammed. Just because I do not post regularly does not mean I am not a regular visitor. If someone says that people are spewing crap, which is used all the time. Also, I did not claim that only McCain could win the seat. I was speaking to winning back the Senate. Since we already have Arizona, I was referring to the other 5 pickups we need, not picking up Arizona.

Please, continue to eat fellow Republicans and see where that get us.
