Establishment GOP Reverses – What’s With Karl Rove?

So, there must have been some beltway reality checks. Or the instantaneous nature of internet communication made the country’s mood glaringly important in helping them along with their ponderous decision rendering process. i.e. The RNC, the NRSC, and every Republican leader they could reach got goosed in the butt by a lot of very angry people. In any case, the Conservative Patriots went nuts when they heard that Christine O’Donnell wasn’t just being ignored by the self-appointed elites, she was being actively opposed and attacked by some of the establishment types.

Karl Rove and Christine O’Donnell

Ok, so we have our own party actively working to ensure that the elected candidate, the choice of the people, doesn’t win in November. What?!! They have the unmitigated temerity to foist off their venomous pronouncements as the will of the party membership.

Speaking of venom… hey Karl, what the heck did Christine ever do to you? Karl Rove went off on an establishment rant against Christine O’Donnell that had many wondering if he’d slipped a cranial gasket and was ready for the gingko biloba crowd. I’m still wondering what that was all about.

Let’s examine what’s happening. The ‘establishment’ has brought the party, and by extension us as Americans, along the disastrous path the party took under George Bush. They have the gall to pronounce to us? We hold the biggest winning formula the Republicans have had since Ronaldus Maximus.

We, as the Patriot Movement, have welded together a vast cross section of people who have but one identity, that of American. And only one goal, that of restoring the Constitutional Republic of the United States of America. One thing is for sure, the Republican establishment has put itself directly in the line of fire of a whole bunch of Tea Party types with no reason to hold hands and sing kumbaya.

The Conservative Patriot movement is changing the face of American politics. It is the tsunami which is sweeping all before it. Get used to it. We’re here and we’re not going away.

He is just being true to himself. That is who he has always been. He has not changed his colors he has just been outed. I hope we never have to listen to that pompous ass again.

If you’ve ever supported him by buying one of his “Karl is Great” books, understand that you have supported one of the most self-serving egotistical RINO’s who has ever stood before the media spotlight.

I used to have respect for Karl Rove, he was a bit annoying from time to time but he was also entertaining at times also. Certainly I’m ashamed of myself for ever being in any way a fan of his right now. I like to think of myself as a good judge of character, but boy oh boy did I get that one totally wrong. Oh well, live and learn, and hopefully they’ll get rid of him at Fox and replace him with somebody a whole lot better. And in regard to the previous comment, I can happily say I’ve never bought any of his ‘Karl is Great’ books, very happy about that right now :) .

or is it the individual show hosts that request his appearances? I know he has been a regular on both Hannity’s radio, and TV shows.

I thought it was interesting yesterday, when Hannity had O’Donnell on his radio show, she said that pretty much everyone had gotten on board with her election, except Karl Rove. Hannity couldn’t change the subject fast enough. She brought him up again, and, again Hannity moved on to other things.

He’s the one banking and organizing Angle’s campaign in Nevada and Buck’s campaign in Colorado. If it wasn’t him, his money and his organizing skills, Angle’s campaign would probably be dead by now. He’s the one building a GOTV organization – one that can actually work in a general election, not in closed primaries with extremely low turnout.

The “Conservative Patriot movement” is changing the face of American politics? Maybe, by winning primaries.

But it’s Rove and guys like him who are actually figthing to beat the liberals and the socialists in November. They’re the ones who rescued the “Conservative Patriot movement” candidates. Candidates like Angle, who, I suspect, are learning a lesson on who they can rely when things get tough. They know who’s keeping them alive and giving them really support when they need and who’s perennially focused on primaries.

When the “Conservative Patriot movement” grows up and starts worrying about winning elections that aren’t primaries maybe then they’ll have the stature to criticize Rove.

Yes, she was the “people’s pick.”

And NO, she’s not electable. He is correct in pointing out that we gave up guaranteed seats. The “Patriot movement” feels good, but feelings don’t win elections. Rove is a pompous jerk, but in this case he is correct to be angry.

We who? The people of Delaware have made their choice.

This poor horse has been beaten to death on RS and all over the blogosphere. The point has been made over and over.

Castle and Coons are indistinguishable, so what difference does it make? Yes, we know about committees. Yes, we know this is a huge risk, blah, blah.

Will you just let it go now?

Even smart people like Rove can be wrong.

O’Donnell can beat Coons if people like you get off your pity potty and help.

It became so Tuesday evening. You, Rove and Dr. K need to stop with the self-centered justifications of your no longer relevant opinions. O’Donnell IS the nominee like it or not. Unless you want Coons in the Senate, it’s past time for all Republicans and conservatives to get behind the nominee and keep a knee jerk Marxist out of DC.

We’ve had this kind of crap from liberal Republicans in Kansas for decades. They attack conservatives before the primaries with a viciousness they never direct at Democrats. If the liberal wins, it’s time to let bygones be bygones and work to elect the liberal Republican. If the conservative wins, the attacks don’t stop and some of the self-described “moderates” even endorse the Democrat. In spite of this we’re all supposed to sing kumbaya in the Big Tent.

Liberal Republicans used to be called just that—liberal Republicans. In the 1970′s as liberal became a dirty word in the party, they began calling themselves “moderate”. The media was happy to comply. If the liberals were moderate, that meant all other Republicans—the conservatives—were extreme. This fit right in with the desire of the Left to shift the terminology in their favor. If the electorate—basically conservative—could be convinced liberals were in the center and conservatives were extreme, then the Marxists could get in the picture as no more extreme than conservatives.

As usual Republicans have failed to realize language is a weapon in politics. Allowing liberals to call themselves “moderate” allows them to confuse the public. The media now calls anyone who supports constitutional self-government and the Rule of Law an extremist and few call them out on it.
