Newsom is absolutely unacceptable, so unless you can show either 1) Newsom is so far ahead that a protest vote won’t matter in terms of who win, or 2) England has a reasonable chance so winning, it would hard to vote for a lesser of evils.

It’s a irony: the stronger the England challenge, the more likely that I would join in as a protest – if Newcom therefore had an essential lock because of this party split. What a strange situation.

Last sentence: hard not to vote for the lesser of evils.

In brief, clothespin to nose for Maldonado unless he’s a lost cause, in which case England gets my vote as a protest. Thanks for the alert about England.

Any vote *not* for Maldonado is effectively a vote for Gavin Newsom, which should be unacceptable to *any* CA Republican.

This site is not dedicated to the proposition of electing Democrats.

We all had our chance to remove Maldonado in the Primary (FTR, I voted *against* him), and that didn’t happen.

    Now *everyone* must support Maldonado.

This diary is unacceptable on Redstate.
