Stupak and Lessons Learned: Democrats Lie. Chronically

The second lesson that should be learned is that there is no such thing as a Pro-Life Democrat. Partisanship and agendas over-ride all for them. Thus, it should come as no surprise that Bart Stupak sold out for an Executive Order;  a piece of paper that holds absolutely no merit, particularly when coming from arguably the most pro-abortion President that we’ve ever had.

It’s no surprise because Bart Stupak is Pro-Life only if you consider Pro-Life to mean Pro-Political Life, where one does whatever is politically expedient. Bart Stupak’s “hold-out” was pure kabuki theater. He’s not Pro-Life. He’s not a “Conservative Democrat”. There is no such thing. They are ideologically partisan to their very core. Everything is agenda driven and they will even stoop to using the unborn as an agenda and to their advantage, as they have for years.

And then throw them under the figurative bus when they’ve served their political purpose.

Bart Stupak had no intention of voting No on the socialized medicine disguised as health care “reform” bill. Here he is, caught on tape, admitting that federal funding of abortion is actually no big whoop to him in the grand scheme (operative word) of things:

“If everything I want [is] in the final bill, I like everything in the bill except you have public funding for abortion, and we had a chance to run our amendment and we lost. OK, I voted my conscience, stayed true to my principles, stayed true to the beliefs of this district, could I vote for healthcare? Yes I still could.”

Pro his political life. That’s it. It’s hard to “stay true to principles”, Stupak, when you have none.

I know this isn’t really shocking to most of us.  I used Stupak  to make a point last week, but I didn’t trust him as far as I can spit. And since I’m a lady, that isn’t very far at all. But, it may be shocking to some and that must change. People want to believe the best in others, but in these cases and in these times, there is real danger in blissful ignorance.

Learn that lesson, America. Starting with Stupak.

I am hearing word that their is a very strong candidate, a current very conservative legislator, considering running against him with an announcement to come soon. Everyone should hold their fire and then unleash!

    • weatherford

why not call in a fire mission before they run for the bunkers? We have him in line of sight. Let us keep at it straight through to the final toss.

      • miconservative

just don’t commit to a candidate before the play is set.

  • eburke

being pro-life was nothing more than a convenient political label, his tirade during the motion to recommit where he actually said “the Democrat Party is the party of life from conception to natural death” and his railing on the GOP for being more concerned with ‘life’ issues than with socialized health care removed all doubt.

    • Adjoran

It fits – let’s make sure it sticks!

    • joayn

He threw a major hissy fit and spouted the most nonsensical jibberish. It was shameful and disgusting. The Dems being the party of life? Oh yeah, Mr. Stupak, like we all know how pro-life Democrats are. Why, none of us even noticed your entire battle to secure deals for pro-life language that has raged on for weeks. Yep, they’re supportive of you, all right.

And, those evil Republicans who want to use YOUR abortion language for political purposes – shame on them! Why, they’re so evil they even supported you and helped pass your Stupak amendment in the house bill. Bastards.

      WHAT. AN. UNGRATEFULL. MORON.

  • solidredinablueworld

Shame on you Mr. Stupak. You said you would be a voice and protect the unborn. You lied!

Planned Parenthood said tonight that this passage of healthcare takeover will allow over 400,000 more abortions per year.

You did not defend the babies, Mr. Stupak YOU HELPED KILL THEM.

    SHAME ON YOU!!!

I can’t say the rest of what I’m thinking.

      • hunter

Has a nice ring to it.

    • lazlor

do you have a link for that from comment from planned parenthood, or was it on the tube?

would like to show it to someone….

  • Mary Beth

We wanted to believe the Blue Dogs would stand up for fiscal sanity.

    They folded.

We wanted to believe Stupak was sincere in his position from the unborn.

Turns out that was a sham too.

But the thing is… now when we see someone purporting a “conservative” or “pro-life” democrat, the first thing we’ll think is Stupak.

He’s made himself the focus…he’s drawn attention to himself with his vociferous opposition in the name of life… and as sincere as they all sounded, it was a pile of dung.

So we know now… even if you are truly sincere… if you’re a democrat politician, you’re screwed. Because we won’t believe you. All we’ll see is Bart Stupak’s face. Send good ol’ Bart a note of appreciation for ruining your chances.

Then again… if you are a democrat, you probably aren’t sincere anyway.

So thank you, Bart, for helping personalize the insincerity and duplicity of democrat politicians. Thanks for having so much attention drawn to your faux-integrity.

We the people will never be “Stupak-ed” again.

    • zollistar

      “getting Stupaked” becomes common parlance.

I’m going to start using it myself. You’re all welcome to join me. I never again want to be stupaked. Never.

      • weatherford

pint of effluvient to a status of depravity he may match but might relish.

He has committed the full Fauruk already. We just need to sweep away the body parts and make sure the open seat in the U.P. is not occupied by a Democrat our a RINO.

Stupak is himself now to marginalized to be relevant. He is now like the islands our Navy shelled for practice on the way to Japan. The reason to keep hammering him is that we could use the exercise.

  • skat

Any Bible believing Christian should leave the Democrat party. The current party is anti-God, anti-Bible, anti-Christian. The Democrat party is a immoral, pro- death party.

    • Bobcat51

against the Constitution after swearing a paper tissue oath to protect it.

The lines have been darwn and Obama and his Progressive Marxists cohorts are out in the open for all God fearing Americans to see.

Game on , hurry up November !

  • bobojake

This is the saddest day in the history of the United States since i was born in 1944. It make 9-11 look like a whffle ball.

    • JHancock

it’s possible to buy pig fetuses from Science supply companies…perhaps someone should send Stupak some.

    • weatherford

We are heavily burdened by our clear memories of free America. I loved all of it without measure.

It was just great to throw a beer can at a stop sign from a speeding convertable with no seat belt, no GPS cell phone, and, best of all, no traffic cops.

Somehow that ceaseless elation got transmitted to those yet to be born who were denied the direct joy we felt. They are here right now.

The blood remembers what the mind never knew.

  • dajeeps

not the least of which is the unborn, but also nearly everything for which the Revolutionaries staked their lives and fortunes and pledged their sacred honor.

Stupak is a scum, for sure, but please do not make it about him by bringing him to the forefront of what went on here tonight. It’s not just about that and we know it isn’t, but they are already going on and on about Federal funding of abortion in the MSM as if it were the main issue. Sure, the left would like to make it ALL about that so they can try to ditch the mass of reality of what they have just done by pitting the opposition in the frame of the abortion debate that has gone on for decades without a resolution. We can’t let them frame the argument and the less we hear about Stupak and his theatrics the better.

    • audax

And since Stupak is now the poster boy for all that’s wrong with Blue Dog Democrats he will be THE symbol we take down in November. If the Dems and Blue Dogs can take a babies life, they can take yours. They can CONTROL your very life with jail and fines for not buying a government sponsored product! That is State Tyranny!

      • weatherford

his fifteen minutes of fame but, for the resistance to advance, retaliation has a necessary place.

Nonetheless, on more sober reflection than the outrage of yesterday, it seems to me that it is fine to keep ranting here for sanity, but still recognize that Stupak has aready committed the full Fauruk.

We just need to make sure his political grave is deep.

  • smagar

Something also tells me he won’t come near Sean Hannity’s show, ever again.

    O’Reilley or Greta—OK. They’ll give him a pass.

    Sean—no way.

Stupak’s not stupid. He burned this bridge himself.

I’m confident that, in the next few days, he’ll be very careful to go only to friendly news outlets.

    • Calvin_of_Geneva

Now that the libs have no use for him they
will make him pay the price for drawing this
out. They’ll pat him on the back tonight
and stick knife in his back tomorrow!

The final vote was 219 to 212. The
so-called Stupak 8 made the difference.
Had they stayed the course this bill
would be dead. Judas did all America in.

  • Calvin_of_Geneva

been surprised. In the end, we all
    knew that no Democrat would
    stand on principle regarding
    abortion. The EO means nothing
and Stupak and his friends know
    it.

I felt as if the world were in a haze, that was the day after Obama got elected. I knew then we were living on borrowed time, today was the end of the USA, welcome USSA. For Millions of Americans, their freedoms have been seized and dismembered as of today, they just do not know it…..yet. But they will, and it is too late to do anything about it. Soon there will be a requirement to be ID chipped, oh, it will be sold as something good, but it will be the branding of a slave, only this brand will enable the person to be tracked.
Some will wonder, “Why is the military allowing our country to be taken over by communists?” Why? Because they are in on it. A tracked population can be controlled.
How can they track? Heard about those new “hardened” computer systems? Heard about the new GPS satellites? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this stuff out!
But it doesn’t matter, you see, it was predicted 2000 years ago what would happen. We are right on track.

    Well, nice knowing you, Comrade!

As much as what happened today pissed me off to no end, I rejoice that this was all foretold. The skies will soon part and all will be revealed. Now saying that, does not mean we should just climb to the highest hill in robes waiting for his return. In fact we should all be so angry, nothing is out of bounds to reclaim our country and get rid of these commy pieces of …..well you know!

      • http://www,livingfortruth.wordpress.com livingfortruth

I hear messages from pastors all the time about, “praying for those in authority…..”, and “God sets up kings….” Well, this country is not governed by kings, it is governed by the Constitution, which all our representatives SWEAR to uphold and defend. God set it up that way, so our situation is different than those who live under monarchs, dictators, etc.

I do pray for them though, that God will enlighten them that they are following Satan, and REPENT!

Seems like the majority in Washington are reserved for God’s judgment though!

themselves for all to plainly see. They have been exposed. There never was any such notion of bipartisanship since President GW Bush was elected 10 years ago. It was only a political tactic used effectively by Democrats to continually place Republicans on the defensive. From this point forward, conservatives must neved allow themselves to placed on the defensive, but must aggressively and cogently attack the liberal perspective and policy positions as dangerous for this country. This needs to start now with ending any possible support for the liberal agenda, including closing Gitmo, immigration reform, cap and trade, approving liberal judges, etc. It is time to take the fight to the liberals without fear of being labeled non-cooperative, obstructionists, racists, or the party of “no.”

The liberals will bankrupt this nation if they are allowed to, and relegate this nation to the status of a third world country, economically, and militarily. They have piaced the nation squarely on this perilous course. There is no one in the world able to defend liberty other than the US. If we are bankrupted and militarily weak, we cannot protect our sacred liberty. We must fight and fight as though this nation’s life depends on it – because in fact it does. Let’s get after it!

  • http://www.rightklik.net rightklik

The Dems all deserve to go down…if for no other reason than the fact that they conspire with a traitorous party.

  • Adjoran

I am now convinced there isn’t a decent person among them.

They appear to me to be a collection of collectivists, neo-Marxists, aging hippies and New Left radicals, socialists, terrorist sympathizers, parasites, union thugs, and the “Blame America First” crowd Jeanne Kirkpatrick warned us about so long ago.

Those who consider themselves Democrats and don’t believe in at least one of the above ideologies must have checked the wrong box on the form.

  • wolfster38

There are no pro life Democrats
There are no pro choice Democrats
These people are pro death. With the passage of the Health Care Bill and the cuts to Medicare the old will die waiting for health care the unborn will DIE and our country could die.
Obama signing this bill will destroy the Democratic Party forever!

The Government will tell us what we need to buy.
If Obama hates the insurance companies so much why is he going to give them the biggest payday in history!

We might have to pay now, but the Democrats will pay in November and beyond.

  • Repair_Man_Jack

If abortion funding is directly mandated by this monstrosity, wouldn’t the promised EO consititue an unlawful order and be facially invalid even if President Obama proceeded with this nonsennsical farce?

  • dlgd

Party Platforms mean something. And the Democratic Platform supports abortion, period! Using this reasoning, there can be no pro-life Democrat in elected office since they hold to their Party’s Platform. We should not be shocked with how this vote turned out.
What I AM shocked about is how the Republicans held together in their opposition to this horrible bill. Kudos to them for a job well done (finally).

  • joayn

In the future, if any Democrat refers to him or herself as a fiscally conservative, pro-life, etc. Democrat, we can just refer to them as Stupak Democrats. That covers liars, chumps, fig-leaf searchers, etc.

Or just call them CINO’S, conservative in name only. A Cino Democrat. Yeah, me likes it.

    What says everybody else?
