The move to oust Pat Brady as head of the Illinois Republican Party has been cast as being all about gay marriage, but it isn’t so. Brady’s full-throated endorsement of same-sex marriage was just the tossed glove in a duel for the direction of the GOP in Illinois.

Everyone Knows Something That Isn’t True
By: Loren Heal (Diary) | September 29th at 08:35 PM |
I don’t know when I learned that everyone has false beliefs. But I see it all the time, both in myself and in others. I’d hate to have my fate decided by some fact I got wrong. Wouldn’t you?

Illinois Republican Party officials will vote May 19 replace the retiring Congressman Tim Johnson on the November ballot in Illinois’ 13th District. Four candidates competing for the nomination gathered at a forum Saturday. How To Harness the Tea Parties for Republican Wins in November
By: Loren Heal (Diary) | September 23rd at 07:25 PM |
Republicans are confident of a nice little November. That’s not enough for me, and it shouldn’t be enough for you. I want a total victory, one that may take decades. I won’t be satisfied until the Democratic Party is pushed off the national scene, its very name a byword, the Marxist ideals at its heart totally discredited. The Tea Party movement will lead us there. | Read More »
A Friendly Note to Liberty.com

Promoted from the diaries by Aaron Gardner Yeah, I am an O’Donnell supporter and I am promoting this. Being a player in politics requires you to be mature, Liberty.Com wasn’t. The ad was atrocious and it may have single handedly destroyed any chance for O’Donnell. I will be writting a small defense of O’Donnell over the weekend, as a contrast to Erick – though I | Read More »
