Obama’s Latin American policy on the rocks

No, I am not referring to the snubbing of the Brazilian President. That’s just amateur hour, something we have come to expect. This is truly a problem.

I am referring to Barack Obama’s bungling of Latin American countries expelling US diplomats and officials.

First, in Ecuador:

The Ecuadorian government today expelled Max Sullivan, first secretary of the U.S. embassy in Quito, for interfering in the country’s internal affairs, PL reported.

Second, in Bolivia:

Evo Morales, Bolivia’s president, has ordered a senior US diplomat to leave the country, accusing him of siding with opposition groups in a ”conspiracy” against the government in La Paz.

Francisco Martinez, the second secretary of the US embassy in La Paz, is the second US diplomat to be expelled from the country in six months.

Note that earlier, a bunch of anti-drug officials were expelled.

What was Obama’s response? Well, sources tell me that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had signed off on the typical response, the State Department expelling diplomats from the US. But an Obama loyalist interfered, killing it.

This is no way to run a foreign policy. They can’t get either the carrot or the stick right.

Morales on something, I’m guessing he and the Obamunist did cocaine together? So, yeah, let’s legalize coca, cuz it’s so good in making rope, or lining cooking pans?
“The new U.S. president has similarities to me,” Morales said, adding that he hoped Obama would help his years-long coca crusade because of what they have in common”.

…Morales and Correa just seem to be obeying their puppet master in Venezuela, who has been kicking Americans (ambassadors, businessmen, missionaries, etc.) out of the country on suspicion of trying to overthrow his government.

That being said, it appears as though there is somebody in the Obama administration who hasn’t even gotten that far into the realization yet. It would be one thing if Barry got rolled by some tinpot dictator… but it looks here like he just got rolled by the tinpot dictator’s lackeys.

Even when he is not trying, Obama drives mature people nuts. Forget it. Work on some donks or squish-Gopers in your area. Remember: The Democrats run to center, or even moreso to the right, when they want to win. That is what Rahm did in 06. He picked off enough to get control. That is what we need too.
Conservatism works! Pick off a 8 senators, and x number of House seats- maybe 10 %(?), we have a great base. We can reverse some of this lefty- stuff.
    Slow some down.
We are making it too hard. It might not be so hard.

They expel our people and we just say “okey-dokey, no problem?” At least Clinton was prepared to do SOMETHING? Unless there is something bigger in the works (I highly doubt it), you don’t stop the tit-for-tat expelling of diplomats. Believe it or not, standing up for yourself on the diplomatic front IS how you improve your standing. Laying down to be kicked again, just leads to more kicking.
