Yesterday Erick reminded us that 4 Blue Dogs are selling out to liberals like Nancy Pelosi and Henry Waxman on health care. We are hearing that the Energy and Commerce Committee may vote on the bill out today.

You can stop the health care bill. You can stop a government take over of health care now.

Contact your Representative here: http://www.redstate.com/action.

Tell your family, your friends, your neighbors, people at your church, whoever. Get them on the phone. Send them that link.

      They would NOT even think of signing this bill if they too were going to have to be on it.. if they too were going to have to wait, & wait & wait to get an appointment & then wait & wait to see a doctor only to be told…. sorry.. you are too old… for most of them are getting on in age…. Oh, this frosts my cookies…..

    Their latest scheme is to limit the rise in the price of healthcare insurance premiums. If this is such a great idea for healthcare, why not for everything else? They should pass laws limiting the rise in price of bread, gasoline, and haircuts. Why not just outlaw inflation? And when they are done with that, they can all go to the nearest sea shore at low tide and command the tide not to come in.

    Called “Jimmy” Himes. The staffer took my name and address and said she pass along my opposition to the bill.
    He’s a freshman D who unseated Christopher Shays after 10 terms. This is a district the NRCC should be targeting next year – represented by an R since 1969. Himes only won by 3%, largely due to Obama turnout in Bridgeport.
    In a mid-term, we could take it back. In a swing district, Himes is voting lockstep with the Democrats. Not sure if anyone has declared yet..though Stewart McKinney’s son is rumored to be interested.
    The big story here is on Rob Simmons (former CT-2) who is running against Dodd.

    They were polite but didn’t seem concerned in the least about my opposition to the the bill. I’m pretty sure he is a lost cause though anyway.

        I did not read that wrong the first time I read the story on the AP, they must have corrected it since I saw it, but none-the-less I was wrong, Charlie Melancon voted against the Free Death Care Act of 2009

    The House Republicans reviewed the the Health Care Bill and found it to be very consistent (with few administrative differences – federal vs. state) with the RomneyCare in MA.

    It’s therefore certified as “bipartisan”.

    Cost? No worries too. Inflation in the future will just suck it off.

    The Bill is very forward-looking. In a not so distant fiture, Getting Sick and Getting Old will be declared as both social disease and spiritual failing. I think “Prohibition Against Catching Sickness or Disease” is one of the major last-minute amendments to the Bill. In the medium term, such thing will be declared by the Congress as a crime and shall be punishable by Death.
