NJ-GOV: Jon Corzine’s Absentee Ballot Slush Fund

National Review’s Jim Geraghty has a tremendously important story. Jon Corzine is trying to build an absentee ballot slush fund to win a recount in the New Jersey Governor’s race. Basically, the Democratic Party has asked the Secretary of State to send provisional absentee ballots out to people whose signatures on their absentee ballot requests don’t match:

In a development that is depressingly predictable, the New Jersey Democratic party is asking the state to provide provisional ballots for all these voters. Those ballots could, presumably, be used to overcome any narrow lead by Republican Chris Christie over Democrat Jon Corzine on Election Day.

Now, let’s be clear how the absentee process works in New Jersey. Third parties can pick up and return absentee ballots.  A couple of weeks ago, a Democratic operative in Atlantic City plead guilty to a lesser charge of tampering with ballots. One practice mentioned in the indictment was the person picking up ballots from people and throwing them out if they weren’t for his candidate.  Another example was:

They allegedly solicited applications for messenger absentee ballots from individuals not qualified to receive them and had the voters not fill in the name of the messenger, so they could fraudulently designate themselves as the authorized messengers or bearers.

And:

They allegedly obtained messenger ballots from the county clerk and submitted them to the board of elections as vote s on behalf of voters who, in fact, never received or voted the ballots or, in some cases, were given only the security envelope for the ballot and were told to sign it. Those voters were not given the opportunity to vote in most instances.

So when ballots are getting into the hands of people who didn’t even ask fro them, you have to wonder what is going on.

This is also how they hope to convince the Blue House members in Red districts to vote for ObamaCare. “Hey, sure the people will turn on you, but we can fix that”.

I’m still to this day convinced that an honest accounting of votes from last Nov 4 would have McCain ahead, and not by a small margin. Obviously by “fair” we’d have to exclude all the felons, dead people, and illegal immigrants signed up by Acorn and other minions of Dear Leader.

Barry-Oh should send the National Guard from Texas to handle the NJ ballots as there is now a “hint” of voter disenfranchisement. In fact, I demand that he send the TX National Guard to handle and if necessary count the ballots?

Never will happen, but amusing to contemplate.

.. along with the rest of the NJ government right down to the clerks at the court house!

Starting to think I live in New Guadalajara instead of New Jersey. Come to think of it… driving around Dover or Morristown I get that feeling as well. Funny, I thought Tijuana and Nogales were SOUTH of the border?

I remember when Christie Whitman was running for re-election and all polls had she way ahead and yet on election day she barely won.

The Dems are going to be paying the homeless to come out in droves in Newark and Camdem.

I wish Christie well but its Jersey and I suspect unless he is ahead by at least 5% on election night the Dems will come up with the votes

    It’s how they get elected.
    Look at Al Franken.
Same day registration and motor voter.
    No IDs at polling places.
Ballots in spanish and other languages.
    Absentee ballots.
    ACORN
    Suppressing military votes.
Different standards in different counties during recounts.
It’s always a Democrat who opposes anything that keeps elections honest.

Look how they elected the special needs senator in Minnesota. Towns having more votes than voters, votes being found in the back of a demonratic stratigists car.
These people are criminals and you expect them to play fair?

    Give me a break!

We can chat about it or we can do something!

Last night , I was at a meeting with the attorneys on the Christie staff. The troops are ready at every NJ County Courthouse.

Now, fellow NJ RedStaters, call your local coordinator and get a local fraud prevention district assignment. I got one in Bergen County.

      You live in Bergen?

Basically, whoever wins Bergen will win race so what’s your feel on what’s happening in the county?

  • olddog

Remember! If you keep electing the same ole crooks you can not expect different results. If you go for Christie, give him legislators who will work with him. instead of the, same ole, same ole. We have a similar problem in Pa. They have raised taxes every year of 7 yrs.that, Spendell has been in office. CHANGE IS ALL, us Pennsylvanian’s will have left ,soon.

Since the travesty of the stolen senate seat by Comrade Al Franken and George Soros, I have maintained that we will probably never see another honest election. Every time a democrap loses, there will be a fraudulent recount backed by liberal Attorneys General and Judges.
God help us – He is the only one who can.
