Once again it’s about The Establishment vs. The Defenders of Limited Government.

This weekend The Washington Times wrote about the race:

“On one side: a political newcomer with ties to the tea party. On the other: a veteran Republican lawmaker who is clearly the preferred pick of the party establishment.

It’s a scenario that has played out in race after race across the country since 2010, and it’s taking shape again in the congressional contest in Michigan’s 11th District”

The establishment insiders, fueled by special interest money, have a long history of trying to tell the voters what’s best for them.  This time when Thaddeus McCotter failed to make the ballot the Establishment sprang into action by recruiting one of their own, a career politician that sponsored the job-killing Michigan Business Tax, to run as a write-in candidate.  The insiders don’t like that I’m the only one on the ballot because they can’t control me by dangling dollars attached to big government interests in front of my face.

I stand on the limited government principles our founding fathers so eloquently laid out in the Constitution.  This election is clearly about the establishment and politics as usual vs. defenders of limited government and standing on principle.  But to stand up against the establishment and politics as usual I need your help.

Will you stand alongside me as we fight against the status quo Establishment that has left our country in the hole financially by donating $10, $25, $50 or even $100 dollars today?

After donating will you commit to putting up a yard sign and asking 5 friends to do the same?

Personal Note: There are few men and women who run for public office that I can take one look at and know they are ready to be in congress. It usually takes me a lot of investigation and rigorous consideration before I support that person. Kerry Bentivolio is one of these few, who when I first read about him…I KNEW HE WAS AWESOME. He will make a great congressman from Michigan and will join leaders like Reps. Benishek, Huizenga, and Amash to defend our liberties and fight for economic prosperity.     We’ve seen this a lot lately. Establishment trying to squash the tea party’s candidate. Happening here too. Rather than abide by their own rules, the establishment wants to disregard the only legitimate candidate. They feel threatened so they are running their own write in candidate. Despicable.

    Mr. Bentivolio will win anyway in this district. Hope he doesn’t forget what these folks tried to pull when he gets elected.

    Most voters will either vote for Kerry because they support him or vote for him since he will be the only one on the ballot.

    And I agree. The establishment always gets mad when conservatives win or play by THEIR rules! (example: Lisa Murkowski loses primary, runs write-in bid for senate…sad :( )

    There are plenty of others but the bottom line is that the establishment will fight to keep their place at the feeding trough. The difference in this case is that Bentivolio will win. He’s not facing an an opponent that’s a heavy hitter like Murkowski.

    Then my hope is it’ll be time to get rid of the local party folks who backed his opponent. Tea party needs to sweep these people out after a win.

    am fairly familiar with The Actors in the GOP Mainstream, hereabouts.
    Worked for ‘Rocky’ for Congress in 2010 , and met a bunch of them.

    They’re using Nancy Cassis as a write-in , because she had the seed money in the bank to get started. {Purportedly $200K.}
    She is, in no way a serious candidate, but one they simply had
    ” in their holster.” She claims to have had Tea Party Principles as a guide long before 3/2009, but it simply is not true. I have watched this lady with some cynicism since her days as a Novi Councilwoman {…and before she was even married, aka: Nancy Covert}
    She’s a ‘Morpher’, boys and girls, and Will join up with the Boehner Bunch at warp speed. Additionally, she’s 68 years ‘young’, in no way needs the dinero, and will not stay one minute longer than needed. She’ll bow out in the first year, after ‘ L. Brooks Patterson and The Guys’ find someone else they “Heart”.
    Oakland County GOP talks large , but in the end , they always Go Mainstream as the area is getting much more ‘diverse ‘.
    Where do you think all the Expatriate Detroiters went to, anyway?

    Kerry has a real shot at this, and amazingly the stars aligned, and Providence has a face.
    {The Progressive Candidate has a large ‘fitting in’ problem (Look up Dr. Syed Taj and discover why) and is beatable.}

    If anyone out there wants to contribute to ‘One of Us’, look no further.
    I know Kerry from his run in 2010, and he truly is **The Real Deal**.
