What’s at Stake in Texas Senate Race: FREEDOM

Today, early voting begins in Texas. I can’t tell you how much is at stake.

The Constitution. Freedom. Liberty. Life. Pursuit of Happiness. Our Children’s Future. The Next Generation. Honesty. Integrity. Leadership.

Ted Cruz is the only supporter of all of these things. His opponent, David Dewhurst, is a career politician who seeks power and fame. David Dewhurst is probably a good man, but he is a terrible leader. I beg all Texans, GO VOTE FOR TED CRUZ.

A VOTE FOR TED WILL LET YOU SLEEP SOUNDLY IN BED.

A VOTE FOR DEWHURST…WILL LEAD OUR COUNTRY’S ECONOMY TO BURST!

Photo: Just voted with Heidi in Houston!

Will you join us in voting early? Find your polling place: http://www.tedcruz.org/vote-early/

Look those two kids in the eyes. If you vote for Ted Cruz, you will be telling them and all other children that you care about their future. Please vote for Ted Cruz. Tell EVERYONE YOU KNOW IN TEXAS. Bring them to the polls and cast your ballot for Ted!

(Also, if you can vote for Steve Stockman in Texas CD 36, Wes Riddle in Texas CD 25, Christi Craddick for Texas Railroad Commissioner, Randy Weber for Texas 14, and any other conservatives endorsed by Young Conservatives of Texas…do so! Here’s the list: http://yct.org/endorsements/ )

This is sponsored by the King Street Patriots in Houston and questions with come from their Leader Catherine Engelbrecht…the very person who initiated True the Vote and is taking it across the US! Locations: Houston: KRIV FOXchannel 26; Dallas: KDFW FOX4 Dallas; KTBC FOX 7 Austin. ALSO of interest is the radiothon which is happening to raise money for Cruz on Wednesday 8-10pm in Dallas featuring my favorite Senators Jim DeMint, Rand Paul and Mike Lee! Interesting the support Ted Cruz is getting!

And, here’s a money bomb for Cruz that I posted several days ago.

How did everyone think the debate went tonight?

      • gracie

Almost. I swear I am so sick and tired of his disgustingly disgusting lying ads that it was hard to watch. I fell asleep during one of his platitudes and had to watch the end on the dvr. He was boring, banal and took credit for everything that has ever gone right in Texas during the last ten years without one detail of proof. He was so nervous his mouth was dry and he mispoke saying he had the endorsement of the NRA until Cruz had to remind him that he,Cruz, in fact has their endorsement! I do not know how anybody in his right mind can vote for him. Cruz was substantive as usual giving many details of court cases he has lead on i e US sovereignty, 2nd Amendment, Obama’s moratorium on drilling in the Gulf, etc. citing several cases he has argued before the Supremes. It is a no brainer! We early voted about noon and the folks said they had been quite busy! :)

him and richard mourdock are going to make great additions to the senate. dewhurst will lose by 4 or 5 points.

I am already trying to imagine David Dewhurst as senator…it’s a nightmare!

I missed it live. I’m voting for Ted but I wanted to see this debate.

IMO…I thought the Belo Debate July 17 was more substantive wherein Cruz took Dew to task for having come out for amnesty in 2007 in a speech which was printed in the Houston Chronicle. Dew has since taken all of these speeches off of his website and broken the Google links to them! Dew said you can email his office to get a copy of those speeches. Thin s—.

This is physically impossible given the terrain and the ever changing Rio Grande.

Surely he’s studied this situation better than that? I hope so.

Of course, IT IS the Texas Tribune, not noted for its honesty nor its support of conservatives.

BUT if I am being honest, in the Belo debate Cruz did say a fence across the entire border. In fact he even talked about the need to (horrors) take land by eminent domain to do it. I think a lot of people did not want to hear that and perhaps got to Cruz to show him the error of his ways. There has always been a disconnect for me when anybody has talked about fencing the entire border. You take out your map and immediately you see the problem with the Rio Grande. As you well remember Rick Perry used to talk about the lack of feasibility of fencing the river because you would be cutting one side or the other off from watering their ranch. Strategic fencing was always what Perry was for. Cruz is not perfect. He seems to approach things from a legal standpoint…i e you make a plan and you make it happen through legal means. So I think he had not thought this one out and it is a real shame as he is going to lose votes over this statement. Perhaps his statement last night was a moderation of the the one prior. But all in all he seems still to be the candidate with the values we want. Dewhurst HAS told some outright lies. .

Asked about illegal immigration, Dewhurst called for tripling the size of the Border Patrol.

          Cruz agreed.

          • avagreen

I missed the debate. And, the link above was too short to see it all.

          • partyof1

Cruz is still the better choice on balance but the most effective anti-illegal immigration measure is taking away the magnets that draw them here. Requiring schools to determine the legal residency of all who enroll, banning illegals from having drivers licenses or running a business or getting a job or getting housing.

Building fences and “tripling” the size of border patrol just grows government. Put a fence where we need a fence yes. Hire BP where we need to hire but that won’t solve the problem.

          • gracie

AFDC/ welfare/Medicaid for dependent children and their mothers, Food Stamps and dare I say? anchor babies! Agree Cruz is definitely the best choice because remember Dewhurst is quoted in 07 saying he wanted amnesty for ALL illegal aliens…the statement that was taken off of his website with Google links cut…which was already printed in the Houston Chronicle! Dewhurst appears to be generally pro amnesty and Cruz generally pro control the border. The details will have to come later. Sorry y links did not work. The Belo debate covered more subjects in greater detail.

      • partyof1

looks like that’s just the highlights though. Someone just uploaded the full debate to youtube. It’s shaky-cam but not bad.

I am sure the Dewhurstbots will be by soon to call Cruz a “pro/gay, pro/pot shady lawyer who represents China and pedophiles” (#sarcasm) soon enough. Oh joy….or do they only show up when Erick Erickson writes about Dewhurst.
