Remember? The awesome rocket that shook the world and took 8 astronauts around the Moon in 1968, and landed them on the Moon in July, 1969?

For the people of Arizona, a novel idea in exercising states’ rights: Execute your constitutionally-based law and tell the Court–in legalese, of course–to take a hike. What are the judge and Obama going to do? Send in Federal Troops? Ignore Obama and all leftist judges, just as they’re brazenly ignoring us, our Constitution, and our national and state laws.

We have a foreign government—a foreign government—effectively usurping American law in general and Arizona law in particular. This outrage is beyond the pale; it cannot and must not stand. Push back. Push back at every effort this president, administration, and Congress are making to corral and control the American people.

Ah, yes, nothing new under the sun about the latest news of Communist spies among us.

Communists have been here since the 1920s, when they began infiltrating ever so inexorably into key areas of American society: labor/labor unions of all sizes; all channels of electronic, print, and entertainment communications providing local, national, and international output; so-called institutions of higher learning that are today patently left wing in virtually all of their curricula (viz such worthy educational bastions as Columbia University and Harvard—the latter boasting it produced the eminent “Constitutional Scholar” Barack Hussein Obama). And, among other, innumerable areas of our society, Communists (not “Russians”) continue to spread throughout the American polity like a political cancer.

Spies, of course, still remain a very important concern for us; but we must not be hoodwinked by this event from the more immediate crises we are suffering under. This latest revelation further distracts us from the alarming rise of domestic and international failures by Obama and his administration. For starters, it is a safe bet folks along the Gulf don’t give a whit right now about spy rings. More than likely, they are beset by their personal economy, as well as the nation’s.

To our Republican Representatives: Don’t just “warn” us. Move! Move fast to stop this administration in its tracks from effectively usurping Congress’s function.

To our Supreme Court justices: Do your job! You shouldn’t have to be reminded that ours is a representative republic that lives under the rule of American law, not under the crafty “directives” from Obama he hopes would have the force of law. This holds true for such government departments as Labor. They are not empowered by the American people to offer, at our expense, no less, “help” to millions of criminal foreign individuals who’ve flouted U.S. immigration law and entered the U.S. illegally.

Are we wrong in our understanding of your role here? It’s the Constitution that empowers the Judiciary branch to check the actions of the President and Congress if you deem it necessary. Which means our Supreme Court can tell an overreaching president that his actions are not allowed by the Constitution. The Court can also tell the Congress that a law it passed violates the Constitution and, therefore, ceases to be a law. It can also tell a state’s government that one of its laws breaks a rule in the Constitution. The Supreme Court is the final judge in every case involving laws of Congress.

On the issue of an 8-year-old Rhode Island student “inappropriately” wearing to school a military camouflage baseball cap, on which was embroidered the American flag and festooned with plastic toy soldiers. The boy’s intention was to honor the military. The school principal’s intention was to declare the boy in violation of the district’s “no-weapons policy” because the tiny toy soldiers were . . . carrying tiny guns.

Leftists, and the countless leftists of every red hue in between—plus the useful idiots—continue to push the political envelope. Here is yet another indication of what they’re up to. Overall, they seek to turn our American laws and traditions upside down, inside out, or destroy them. They’re “testing” the nation, to see just how far they can go, even if the move appears over the top. There’s a sense that they’re thinking, Well, just throw it out there and see whether it sticks; if too much opposition, retreat and go silent, and move on to the next targeted institution, value, and other “things American.”

There’s nothing new here. The left’s ninety-year-old battle plan has always been about control of, among other areas, our print and electronic communications, labor/labor unions, education systems, and now, virtually every daily aspect of an American’s life.

Sometimes, leftist actions are very public and at other times so subtle as to overlook them. We used to think, for example, that only college-age kids undergo the Socialist-Marxist ideology woven into their “higher learning” instruction. A kid with “conservative” values goes off to college, and, lo, exits the campus stage left. Mom, Dad, we’re a greedy country; we’re the main cause of “Global Warming” and so many other problems in the world . . . yada, yada, yada.

But notice how the left has moved downward, to high school teachers, to grade school teaches, and now, to kindergarten teachers–even to teachers in the remotest of schools in the heartland to schools in larger communities and cities. Here, we find the continued infusion of the leftist political curriculum in calculated and weighted doses (Marx and Engel, after all, are little too much for the American First Grader.)

Still, into this effort goes the goal to eliminate our national symbols from our children’s daily lives; to subordinate or eliminate the parents’ stewardship and make the school the dominant “guidance counselor” in the academic life of the fledging kindergartner and of the now world wise university graduate. The Flag suddenly disappears from classroom display. What nascent student would notice the disappearance of the Flag or hanging pictures of our founders, or replicas of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution? Consider that a growing number of schools no longer recite the Pledge of Allegiance. All this and more, against a national backdrop where an ordinary citizen now sues his or her neighbor because of the neighbor’s noisy, irritating flapping American flag. We also read of the growing trend in litigation, where property managers prohibit residents from displaying the Flag in any form, on a pole or draped in a window. Wipe national symbols and icons from the national view.

Rhode Islanders, you should be up in arms. Take back your schools! You were the last of the 13 original colonies to ratify the Constitution, demanding that the Bill of Rights also contain the guarantee of individual liberties. Despite the media’s politically tendentious manipulation and suppression of news, this kind of alarming story emerges with increasing regularity. Every parent whose child attends the Tiogue School in Coventry, every Rhode Islander, every American, should summarily ignore any such proscription by a school principal—a public employee who serves at the pleasure of a people whose freedom remains ensured through the real barrel of the gun, not through the “concept of the gun.”

BO does not trust BP . . . and growing millions of Americans do not trust BO. Slippery as ever, he uses the oil spill to despoil the private sector and grease the wheels of his Cap-and-Trade engine. Terrible as it is, the Gulf oil spill pales in comparison to the rising political cesspool spilling into Washington.

Let us all work very hard to clean up this mess. Scoop up Obama and his far-left administration, bag them, and toss them right into the outgoing political tide.

To the millions of vets, their families, and their friends and neighbors:  Anyone notice Barack Obama made no mention of “Normandy” this June 6? Nor visit Arlington?

However, he did find time on June 6 to address an adoring crowd at the yearly Ford’s Theater’s Lincoln Medal award gala. There, here praised and presented the Medal to Desmond “I-Spit-on-the-West” Tutu. Tutu—who in no way exemplifies the unique legacy of Abraham Lincoln.

Clearly, this sitting president does not deserve our respect or our vote. Remember this, come 2012.

Would that the Bedi-Rassy Foundry in Brooklyn, New York were here to cast in bronze the simple, but powerful war-memorial cross that stood above the silent Mojave Desert—just as the foundry cast the Iwo Jima Memorial in another age, over a half century ago. The desecration of the Mohave Desert cross is not surprising, since anti-American and anti-Christian groups have for some seventy years worked assiduously to destroy our nation. In a larger sense, its desecration defiles America itself. Some will call it mere coincidence, but concomitant with this administration is the accelerated assault not only on our institutions and way of life, but on our Christian countrymen and their beliefs.

Only private donations paid for the USMC War Memorial in Washington. I’m not a Christian, but this veteran would be one of the first to donate to a Memorial Cross fund-raising program begun by the Liberty Institute, despite the political forces seeking to disassemble America. I cannot see this Congress commissioning any war memorial, let alone President Barack Hussein Obama dedicating it.

As I recall, aliens lawfully admitted to the U.S. can become lawful permanent residents and remain in the U.S. as “green card” holders. People who wish to become U.S. citizens can apply for citizenship after meeting certain other requirements of immigration law. In a word, you can become a U.S. citizen only in two ways: by law or by birth.

Yet Obama talks about immigration “reform.” What, exactly, in our immigration system needs “reforming”? And just how is our immigration system suddenly “broken”? Is it because millions of American citizens object to the millions of migrating Mexicans who insolently flout our laws and enter the U.S. illegally? And continue to do so 24-7? And what’s down the desert road? Make these illegal millions de facto U.S. citizens?

It works politically well to deceptively reframe the issue into one of xenophobia and racism, to stifle criticism and rising public opposition. Yes, as the media cameras and reportage dutifully accentuate, illegal aliens are devoted to family, have abiding religious beliefs, plus a solid work ethic. And, yes, like us, they just want to “better their lives.” These commendable traits, held by the millions of immigrants who began arriving here legally in the late nineteenth century, are not at issue. Entering the U.S. illegally by the millions is.

Veteran Border Patrol agents will tell you that during Dwight Eisenhower’s presidency, upwards of 3 million Mexicans were illegally crossing into Arizona, Texas, California, and on to other points. Eisenhower quickly put a stop to this, decisively deploying just over a 1,000 United States Border Patrol agents, a mere fraction of our current Border Patrol force.

Yet for all that, we see in this twenty-first century that Washington has continually failed in stopping the illegal influx of “immigrants” and the special interests that exploit them. We sit on a social, political, and economic time bomb with very serious consequences–consequences now emerging among the strained Border States in particular and within all other states (with, perhaps, the exception of Hawaii, Obama’s putative birthplace).

The tired notion about “who’ll harvest our lettuce?” is a calculated distraction. Except for the intractable Obama supporter and hate-America-for-any-number-of-reasons crowd, it should be axiomatic: Illegal immigrants are being manipulated. Their illegal entry and continued presence are effectively abetted and ensured purposely by groups working to “harvest” the immigrants themselves. Their ultimate goal is to use these illegal aliens to achieve political ends clearly antithetical to America’s way of life.

Obama works the angle of amnesty to condition us to think “amnesty” and not “law enforcement.” Add to this his administration, a tendentious media, and the various leftist groups surreptitiously planning and staging provocative marches of thousands of Hispanics carrying thousands of American flags, and you have serious political theater—all of which add further harm and insult to U.S. sovereignty.

Good for Arizona. Good for the governors, mayors, and other local leaders across the nation who are now beginning to push back.
