Endorsements Matter, Mr. Mourdock

Why is Richard Mourdock trumpeting endorsements from someone identified as the bag man for convicted felon Jack Abramoff?  A 2006 investigation by the Senate Finance Committee charged that Grover Norquist laundered funds from Abramoff through Americans for Tax Reform to pad his own pocket and in exchange for favorable op-eds and to open doors in Washington. This piece blew my mind:

“And a 2006 Senate report details how ATR [Norquist's Americans for Tax Reform] subsequently became a paid conduit for Abramoff to hide the true origin of tribal money passed through to anti-gaming campaigns in the South to suppress competition to his clients, Native American tribes with their own lucrative casino operations.” (Politico, October 30, 2011)

to turkey buzzards or liberals. If I weren’t a lady, I’d have been a little more explicit in my comments about the two Richards, but I’m guessing folks can read between the lines as it were.

Endorsements DO matter…Why has the Lugar campaign embraced the endorsement of EPEC funded Lunch Pail Republicans? EPEC– the sole funder of Lunch Pail Republicans as of last FEC filing– sent 90% of its campaign contributions to Democrats last election cycle…Interesting endorsement…
