Sometimes I think the world and this country is going to heck in a hand basket, sometimes I come across something that shows that the American people still get it.
This is a small article and video from CNN, from up in Bakersfield where there is a new National Cemetery. There’s no political content to this, no pats on the back, no pokes in the eye out of this story. It’s just a story of ordinary folks from Kern County and Bakersfield honoring a couple of unknown vets who died and were laid to rest with honor and respect by the good folks from Bakersfield.
Veterans day is Wednesday, small town America still remembers why.
CNN story, “Unknown vets spared paupers’ grave”

Nice to know there are still islands of sanity and decency in the land of fruits and nuts Steve...recommended!
