Some people still “get it”

Sometimes I think the world and this country is going to heck in a hand basket, sometimes I come across something that shows that the American people still get it.

This is a small article and video from CNN, from up in Bakersfield where there is a new National Cemetery.  There’s no political content to this, no pats on the back, no pokes in the eye out of this story. It’s just a story of ordinary folks from Kern County and Bakersfield honoring a couple of unknown vets who died and were laid to rest with honor and respect by the good folks from Bakersfield.

Veterans day is Wednesday, small town America still remembers why.

The “Big Tent” analogy isn’t the correct one…the correct one is a MAGNET…we need to be a MAGNET that draws these independents in who are sick and tired of what’s going on in WashingtonFred Thompson

I don’t know what their network is or what they are called, but I’ve seen them with reps in our little corner of the woods here in TX at ceremonies.

A great primer on one national group
