Image

Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert talks to Mike Huckabee about 2008, then he turns to Iraq with Senators Schumer (D-New York) and Vitter (R-Louisiana), Mike Gerson (a first term Bushie -- speechwriter, policy guy, conscience) of the CFR and Ken Pollack of Brookings. (Pollack is also CFR and was on Clinton (Bill's) National Security Council.)

FOX News Sunday (FNS): Host Chris Wallace talks Iraq and Presidential politics with Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas, then he talks about the future of relations between the Bush White House and the Reid/Pelosi Congress.

Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer talks to, in descending order, Mitch McConnell, Arlen Specter, and Jim Webb. Senator Webb is evidently someone to be taken seriously, and I promise to at least try.

This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos talks opposition to a shot at victory in Iraq with two key opponents: Joe Biden of Delaware and, sadly, Dick Lugar of Indiana. Then he goes on the campaign trail with Dunc Hunter.

Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolf Blitzer talks to Jay Rockefeller, who might be insane; Jon Kyl; Mike Steele of GOPAC; Donna Brazile, whose name I haven't typed for a good siz years; and, the text goes, "Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Connecticut, candidate for president." I guess that means he's serious, believing he has a shot at it because he did not screw up so badly before or call our troops idiots.
~~~~~
Huckabee, Brownback, Hunter, Biden, and Dodd. No frontrunners in the Presidential lineup this week, but someone has to emerge from somewhere on the Republican side. Biden's going to insist that all good ideas were his years ago and that Iraq must be partitioned in the manner he invented, which plan was actually designed by CFR president emiratus Leslie Gelb.
Huckabee is the Man! by RedHotandinBlue
I am really starting to like Mike Huckabee.
When I started thinking in depth about why I came to one conclusion. He is Newt but not Newt. He sounds a whole lot like Newt on a variety of issues. Newt said that they ,"Newt.org", are sending their ideas to all of the candidates. I see it in others as well. Hilary's " open up a dialogue with the American People"...listen to Newt for the past two years. Don't forget about Newt's date with Hilary at a Health Care meeting a year or or few ago.
Newt an Cuomo are doing a discussion at Coopers Union soon, I wonder if any others will show up to bandy about their ideas?
Anyone else get that vibe from Huckabee?
PS - Regarding Mitt...He needs to free himself from the "advice" of VDH, Bill Kristol etc... (i.e. Inside Beltway Elites) I like Hoekstra and thats it. Mitt is quickly becoming the "GOP Rock Star" huh? LOL.
I mean sheesh, the RINOS they have lined up are pretty much going to make the Sunday shows look like different versions of "Dumb and Dumber"... if this goes on week after week, what are we to think? Either we have to get some better guys on, or the interviewers have to start asking better questions... somthings gotta give. I can't even tell you how discouraged I feel. Are people really this stupid? This just seems so over the top in terms of idiocy... maybe people are just that turned off that they truly don't care.. is it a conspiracy by the VLW to stupid us to death? This is an existential nightmare. Sorry guys... I am seriously bummed. I feel like that picture of Munsch of the Silent Scream. Is there really nothing to be done but turn on Dancing with the Stars and sit back and eat some Fritos so we can get thirsty enough to drink the kool-aid? I just want to go back to bed.
Why is there such a disconnect between what we hear from our conservative talk people and authors versus what our elected officials are saying? Where have all the conservatives gone? Wasn't there some kind of summit last weekend? Is anyone in charge? I'm hoping that maybe this is a VRW conspiracy and soon there will be a brilliant white knight burst forth and slash the liars and posers.
I dunno, maybe the new found popularity of this video is a prophecy - as pop culture can sometimes be - even if it is not, it is certainly timely and true - as well as ironic considering the participants:
America. The anti-American left in America have turned it against their own country and are turning it into some sort of false ballad of contempt for ideas about which they know nothing. The blind hatred of the lemmings following the faux-chic off a ledge.
But the snicker, pat each other's imitation cleverness on its backside, and look to their horoscopes or their grade school Googlebombs, and they feel something in their vacuum which just isn't.
They see dead people.
Hence the irony... by QueenOfCups
And pretty bold of them to bring God into it! Unbeknownst to them, they have made their prayer asking God for judgement. They just thought they were being clever and sophisticated.
the Optimist will return within 72 hours, but I am concerned. The right 08 candidate, coupled with 20/20 HinzSight can win, but much work must be done...
Huckabee is going on to announce. He could be the come from behind candidate.
and start the discussions moving in the right direction. At this point, I'm not happy with any of the candidates that have thrown in their hats. Right now, I do not care about any other issue than getting the GWOT discussion moving in the right direction.
I just saw Brownback on FNS... by RedHotandinBlue
Wallace had his way with ol Sammy. Bet he's sore.
Who pumped this guy up and told him to run for POTUS? He seems like a cross between the waffling flip flopper Romney and Joe I-know-less-than-I-sound-like-I-do Biden.
is how Brownback looked to me in his interview with Chris Wallace.
You’re a persistent cuss, pilgrim.
John Wayne to Jimmy Stewart in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
was the message of weakness that the dem party transmitted in nearly every statement they made on foreign policy. Now, with an enemy that doesn't fear nuclear annihilation, this weakness is like red meat to the terrorists. By contrast, Bush makes clear that he will fight this war no matter the 06 elections, tells malaci what time it is, hires petraeus to take 20,000 more into Baghdad
and the enemy is hightailing it. This is why I contend that the dem party has cost us lives and victory sooner that otherwise. The main war is HERE in America, and the dems say and do for free what al qaida would pay them to say and do.
The dems are sissies.
And the mealy mouth moderates in the gop are not much better.
