If you've been missing the fallout going on Over There about former President Clinton's meeting with various progressive bloggers (summary here and here), tsk tsk. It's almost unalloyed fun; 'unalloyed', I say, because there's always the chance that some reporter will seize on this as the latest reason Why The Blogosphere's Not Ready For Primetime. Although, to be fair, in this case he'd have a point: obsession over breasts and the exact melanin content of the folks who met Clinton (with added conspiracy musings!) does seem to be a bit, well, lame. Funny, but lame*.

All that being said, I find myself in surprised agreement with Markos Moulitsas: it wouldn't have killed those people to have all dressed more formally. I'd wear a suit and tie if I was meeting former President Clinton. Heck, I'd wear a suit and tie if I was meeting former President Carter. For my own pride's sake, if nothing else.

*Nothing personal, Alabama Liberation Front: I know that you're just in this for the hitcount.

He lack of respect is one of the biggest problems we have as a nation.

President Carter by jrrich

I'd wear a suit and tie too-- I might get a chance to choke him a bit with the tie while no one was looking.
