Would you all deny that under the current system workers are compulsed to avoid unions through threats to their jobs, etc.? Oh, they may be illegal, but in a world of no perfect people, cause can be found for almost all of us.
The tag "denying secret ballot" is interesting as well. After all, doesn't this measure really seek to end the ballot altogether? If a majority sign pledge cards, the company is forced to initiate CBA negotiations, no? At least as I understand it, this seems to give all parties equal opportunity to compulse workers. Either you sign up or you don't. Refusing to join is a "No," while signing up is recognized as a "Yes." This just simplifies matters. The question is, what is it that big business loses in all this? How is labor favored?
