Obama: Sorry You're Offended By Me Being Right

Expressing "regret" for not "choosing his words well," Barack Obama tries to clean up the mess he made of himself, while standing by what he said in the first place:
"I said something that everybody knows is true."
Hmm...couple that with his attempt at contrition:
Obviously, if I worded things in a way that made people offended, I deeply regret that.
Sounds like an Imus-style apology to me. Where's the Al Sharpton's who speak for Small Town America? I want some screaming and some insisting on people being fired!
Obama didn't say he was wrong or anything simple like that, he said he was sorry if his "rightness" was poorly worded sufficiently to offend people. He didn't take it back, either:
Lately there has been a little typical sort of political flare-up, because I said something that everybody knows is true, which is that there are a whole bunch of folks in small towns in Pennsylvania, in towns right here in Indiana, in my hometown in Illinois, who are bitter," Obama told the crowd.
"They are angry. They feel like they have been left behind. They feel like nobody is paying attention to what they're going through. So I said, well you know, when you're bitter you turn to what you can count on. So people, they vote about guns, or they take comfort from their faith and their family and their community. And they get mad about illegal immigrants who are coming over to this country, or they get frustrated about how things are changing. That's a natural response.
"And now, I didn't say it as well as I should have, because you know the truth is that these traditions that are passed on from generation to generation, those are important."
The man just doesn't get it...and the Democrats still don't get it either.

Combine Ed Rendell's earlier comments about how the people he governs are racist with Obama's calling them bitter, I must say, the wonder is how Democrats get elected when they apparently think so little of the people they want to govern.

they apologize if you're offended by what they say, and mean.
Dick Durbin didn't apologize for the concentration camp remark, but was sorry if you didn't like it. In other words, they're never wrong and at worst they do something called "mispeake", if that. Thereby they show their contempt for the people whose vote they want, who they lyingly pander to, and in this case are bitter because they don't get more federal programs that are costly and don't work.
There has to be a reason why people believe in God and practice religion and it must be the failure of sufficient government spending, otherwise their beliefs and faith would be where they should be, in government as benefactor.
And all Moses had to worry about was a golden calf !

Maybe add "Amerikkka" after "small town"?
Classic.

It's too bad for Obama that poor economic conditions don't make us cling to a piece of crap Marxist candidate.
Letting Hillary show that she's more "in touch" with the little people than Obama.
Maybe Hillary will still be able to steal the nomination from this guy.
Socialism doesn't work. It looks nice on paper, but it's been tried and it's failed miserably every time (usually accompanied by widespread death and suffering).

The problem isn't that people whose jobs left town 25 years ago turned to their families and their churches, it's that they turned to the guvmint for welfare checks and other entitlements leaving them powerless to determine their own fate and constantly looking for bigger handouts. It's no surprise that the most depressed areas of the country are the areas most dominated by unions and leftwing politics.
If these folks had looked to themselves, they'd be enjoying the same level of prosperity as the rest of the country. Yes, prosperity. The current unrest in the financial markets was orchestrated to help Democrats get back in the White House and it'll be over in November no matter who wins the election.
who, as we all know, cures people of their fears.
...through Barack's wife, spiritual advisor, military and economic advisors, and now the horse's mouth, we are beginning to see the reality behind Barack's rehearsed facade.
The implosion is near.

Hi fellow Pennsylvanians!
I just got back from Church where I was feeling happy and not bitter. But then I read some of the above and began to get a little upset. So to make myself feel better, I called Senator Casey's office to request that he rescind his endorsement of Obama. If you'd care to join me, his office phone numbers are as follows:

You nailed B. Hussein Obama, particularly in the insincerity of his Imus-esque apology
I doubt this will have much more impact in the primaries than the Rev. Wright controversy did though. Problem is that his core constituency agree with the original statements, as they did with the Rev. Wright's rubbish. If his 'corrections' are too energetic, too sincere, he might start loosing his base.
We can only hope these blunders continue to stack up and the MSM actually reports them, and that Mack can use them to pummel Mr. Obama into a George McGovern/Dukakis pile of smoldering manure.

...Obama is doing nothing but amping up the same promises that many a liberal politican has made over the last "25 years?"
It's this same blame-first-take-responsibility-never attitude from these people that causes us to become skepical, along with the experiences of seeing every liberal government attempt at "helping" turn to failure.
Why does no one question the state and local governments, who for years took on a big labor friendly, business unfriendly approach, through high taxes and lots of regulation? Besides the changing consumer demand and technology, that is the cause of far more job loss than any trade deal.
...small-town Pennsylvanians are just 'Typical White Person[s]' like his grandmother, is all Barry was trying to clarify.
It may have well served Barry's campaign to keep the Mrs. away from microphones and audiences, what are they going to do about their candidate?
Bide your time, Mrs. Clinton, bide your time...

NO Politician either it being a Republican or a Democrat has ever given a sincere apology thats why they are all politicians.
Second whether anyone wants to believe it or not i actually think this helps Obama, anyone that has lost a job that they held for a long time is Bitter than hell they don't have it anymore, if it came with retirement they are not going to get anymore there mad at the company. There also mad as hell that those that we elected don,t give a shit about them. People that lost there house for one reason or another is (bitter, mad, upset) that they don't have there dream home anymore.
If you don't like him or not Bill Clinton was right it's the economy stupid, and last i checked it's not looking very bullish. People Vote there pocketbook.
If Obama would have used a few different words we wouldn't be having this conversation. When it comes down to it those that are not Strongly Conservative or Liberal are not going to give a shit about his comment. It's Clinton, McCain and MSM making this something it's not.

We see Obama's statement as a problem because:
1. It is really all about him.
2. It puts his belief out in the open that we are too stupid to thing for ourselves. He believes that we need a hero (him) to come along and be the one that can make government the all saving grace.
Fighting for conservatism one day at a time.
It may help him with leftist Democrats, but not with most people.
What it will definitely do is to energize the base, specifically by showing what Obama is.
The problem is not that some people are bitter over lost jobs or houses. Of course they are. But it's not that many people, and none of them -- none -- should be upset at that the government didn't make it all better.
The main problem is that this is totally unrelated to people's stance on religion, gun rights, or illegal immigration. It insults the vast majority of people who live by faith, value the right to bear arms, and want the government to control our borders.
--
Gone 2500 years, still not PC.
Why these are the reasons.
1. Because the Number one issue this Primary election, and again come General election is going to be none other than the Pocketbook, Thats Right the economy. Most analysts and polls show Obama and the Dems have this issue in there favor and i agree they do.
2.Not many Moderates or Independents vote for there religious values. This is a Good example i am a LDS(Mormon) Member but i did not vote for Romney this Primary season or even endorsed him. I am going on a wing here and going to say those comments just cost Obama the Religious Right, wait he was not going to win those anyway.
3.Any Gun owner that got offended by that comment was already not going to Vote for Obama anyway.
4.Illegal Immigration and control are borders when is that going to happen the year that we all die. Vast Majority of people are not going to vote this issue and if you were truly going to cast your vote on this issue you would not a 1000 times over vote for Obama, McCain, Clinton, and every other Candidate besides Tom Tancredo and how many votes did he get. Neither of the two Major parties care about your or my or anyone else's view on the border. Most people already realize this and have accepted it.
5.We live in the world of 30 second sound bits, thats it 30 seconds and what 30 seconds do you here "Obama said that people in small towns are bitter because they lost there jobs and thats why; then all people here is blah blah blah blah blah. Point is my mom and dad watch foxnews, cnn, msnbc, cbs and every other news station about 8 hours a day but guess what all they new was Obama made comments about people being bitter about there disappearing jobs. Those of us that have followed and continue to follow this election are not going to be the ones that decide it, those are the ones like my mom and dad that don't follow politics closely and only when they do its for a total of 30 seconds. These are the reasons why it will help him.
But again I'm one of the very few that think Obama and Clinton benefit from this dragged out primary, we can talk about that latter.
Did anyone see this? Obama compared the campaign trail to the Bataan Death March. Um, yes, the similarities are readily apparent (?): http://www.taylormarsh.com/archives_view.php?id=27392
Obama is so convinced of his intellectual abilities and his left wing philosophy that he demonstrates pity for those that disagree, labeling them 'ignorant'. His so called apology is insulting and patronizing. He understands nothing about this country or the majority of its citizens. He doesn't understand small town living because he doesn't care to understand. The more he talks the better, because up until recently all we have heard is rhetoric.
For such a man to portray himself as an instrument of 'change' that will bring all races together, is so hypocritical it is almost laughable. Chosing a man like him to be President of this great nation, only demonstrates the depths that the Democratic party has gone to. I still marvel that I belonged to that party for over 30 years.

He can never admit he is wrong- not on Jeremiah Wright, not on "typical white person", not on anything. He is just like Clinton in spinning and weaving every mistake he makes to blame those pointing out his ignorance.
we need to never drop this subject- he is going down with this if we can play it smart and hard..
Obama is Jimmy Carter- only without the sweater.
