Some help for Gore's Carbon Footprint Defenders...

...we can't let them peak too early, after all.

I understand: it's tough. For some inexplicable reason, people seem to be determined to categorize your ah, mentor's energy habits as indulgences or draft substitutions or sumptuary laws (I'd add 'potlatch' to the list, myself). Just because he's running around telling us to turn down the power while he's turning it up!

The nerve of us.

But never let it be said that we couldn't help out somebody in need: below the fold those tireless defenders will find everything that they'll need to show their support for old Al.

Read on.

First off, I understand that, ah, finances are a bit of a problem for a lot of you folks playing defense for Al. Never fear, we can work with any budget. So, you should start haunting places like this until you have one of these:

Then you go to somewhere like here and get one of these:

Finally, find some newspaper - darned if I know where'd you get something that esoteric, of course - and cover

with

Wait until it dries, and voila!* - the perfect symbol of your belief and trust in Al Gore. Just be sure to send it along to him. It does him no good in your hands, after all...

National Treasure.

Ever thought of running for office?

Maybe you could be Snarkretary of State.

Just waiting around to be assigned temporary Imperial power, no doubt.

I would be a very bad elected official. I bore easily and am not particularly good at public speaking. :)

have feasts where the diners were believed to eat the sins of the recently departed?

And a totally unrelated question: was there ever a Rolls that came in Royal Purple? It is completely fitting, mind you.

I think I've figured out why Gore's energy bills are so outrageous: he's been using all that electricity to fry himself peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I bet he shot out his TV when Bush got re-elected, too.

"No compromise with the main purpose, no peace till victory, no pact with unrepentant wrong." - Winston Churchill

there is ample reason to believe Gore has an extensive firearms collection. There certainly is ample reason to buy into the fried peanut butter and banana availability.

Good point, spainsh. by Socrates

That's probably why need needed all the power: he's been smelting his own ammunition, storing it in the bunker for the coming Global Climate Crisis. You can never be too ready.

Most of the electricity in TN comes from hydro and nuclear, and so doesn't generate all that much CO2 anyway.

Gore buys the maximum allowable green electricity from the program offered by his utility.

...sure does eat the energy, green or not, no?

Not just for 2 by SkinTight

Al and Tipper run their businesses and charities from their home. There are offices, meeting rooms, office staff, household staff, etc. Since Gore is a former VP there is also a full-time security detail.

So their home is not some little LoveNest for two.

plants as it is on hyro and nuclear. So Gore's environmental degredations and hypocrisy are much worse than previously mentioned. As more details emerge, I think we will find his Roman orgy of energy waste is much worse than we know now.

According to the TVA

The coal-fired generating facilities of TVA’s Fossil Power Group have 15,075 megawatts of capacity. They have been the backbone of the power system since the 1950s, when TVA first began using coal to make electricity for the Tennessee Valley. The eleven fossil plants generate about 60 percent of the electricity TVA produces for its customers.

...so we're all in this together. Gore buys the maximum allowable fantasy that his utility will gladly sell him. The utilities know how to make a quick buck selling conscience salve to rich, over-staffed fools who can't even manage their rental slums properly.

I'm proud to say.. by MSU Conservative

I went to Algore's movie website and calculated my carbon footprint, and mine is MUCH HIGHER THAN AVERAGE. Now I'm trying to think of ways to make it even higher. I'm thinking of building a power plant in my backyard.

start a termite colony in your backyard and buy a herd of cattle. That ought to do it.

National Review Online Planet Gore Blog has a discussion on a scorecard developed by Doug Hoyte comparing components of climate models to actual observations. The score was 1 study agrees with Model, 27 studies refute model, 4 unconfirmed. The link to the scorecard is http://www.warwickhughes.com/hoyt/scorecard.htm
