would the news media be reporting on this if it were a bunch of Democrats doing the spending .. like Fulton County or Nancy Pelosi?

As a longtime media wonk in this city, it is well known that WSB-TV and the AJC (the newspaper in a one-media-conglomerate town) have been a liberal mouthpiece since the early days.
Any corporation that gives Cynthia Tucker a job is not looking out for the best interests of their viewers and readers.
I agree with the earlier post, if this was a democrat-laden issue it would never see the light of day. Note the focus on the (R)'s in this story.
Notice they did not cover how many millions in appropriations are earmarked for the Carter Center and the King Center??
Gee...go figure....

It is a great reminder than even the "little guy" can make a difference with even a small effort.
Socialism doesn't work. It looks nice on paper, but it's been tried and it's failed miserably every time (usually accompanied by widespread death and suffering).
