Where we have been ... and where we need to return

The inspiration and belief which led us out of the wilderness twelve years ago can do so once again

This message is over a decade old; it was delivered shortly after the Republican Revolution of 1994. It is one which we would all do well to remember -- for it is the message which we, along with the rest of the American people, believed in, and affirmed through the decision to grant the GOP control of Congress.

It is this very message which we need to remember now, as we face at least two more years in the wilderness. We can rebound from this, as we have in the past, by embracing that which makes us what we are -- conservatives -- and by reaffirming our commitment to belief, to principle, and to what is right.

By recalling these core attributes, we can once again be victorious, and can once again steer the ship of the American state on the proper course, with the consent, trust, and affirmation of the American people.

Compare those words by lordmarcus

of hope, and idealism to the words of Cindy Sheehan over on Malkin's website.

Newt spoke of things greater than ourselves, Cindy just does alot of 3rd grade insults. That says alot.

And how did we let it all go so wrong?

NEWT!!! by Mayhem

Save our party, once again!

_In a world full of twists and turns, the ultimate twist...is a straight line._

We need many strong players, instead of relying on one or a few with remarkable successes for long periods. (Rove, etc)

These solitary forces become bigger targets, Dems study them and figure out their playbooks. We need a strong "team" and change up those in the public eye to keep a fresh perspective, AND to keep the Dems talking about issues rather than putting a one-person face on our party, or belittling one person's tactics.

Rent 'The Miracle' and see how the Davids beat the Goliaths.

We need to think about this before we return to Newt. God bless him, he showed us how to do it. But can we afford to pine away for yesteryear? Especially things that happened pre-9/11.

Good, Accountable Leadership

Anyone know the health by SanDiego92108

Anyone know the health status of Hawaii's two 80-plus Dem. senators? They have a GOP governor who could replace one of them, if he dies.

Great video Jeff! by buzzbrockway

Awesome. I'm confident true conservative leaders will emerge in the very near future and lead the GOP back to where it needs to be.
