Rush Exposes Lefty Hypocrites *Again*

We've known all along that the left was the greatest bunch of hypocrites to walk the face of the modern American political landscape. Today, thanks to Rush Limbaugh, they are further exposed.
Last week, Rush dedicated part of his monologue to taking on the phony soldiers -- the ones so adamantly opposed to the war, but when examined have been proven to be frauds, fabulists, and pot heads tossed from the ranks.
Specifically, Rush mentioned Jesse MacBeth, the soldier who told all sorts of horrible tales about his time in Iraq, but left off the details about how he was full of crap and none of it happened.
Media Matters, working hand in hand with the MSM, however, took Rush out of context and tried to make the case that Rush said all soldiers who come back and oppose the war effort are phony soldiers.
A third grade reading level is all one needs to read the transcript and realize Rush was specifically talking about the Scott Beauchamps and Jesse MacBeths of the world — soldiers who have decided to make a living by telling lies about American soldiers. Be sure to read this Influence Peddler post to see just how solid the ground is Rush is standing on.
Now comes today. After spending several weeks bashing General Petraeus and then proclaiming that House action to condemn the bashing would be a waste of time, House Democrats intend to denounce Rush Limbaugh today for going after the phony soldiers.
You might need to read that again.
The Democrats did not want to condemn attacks on General Petraeus, but they want to condemn Rush Limbaugh for taking on the phony soldiers — the ones who lied to make the real soldiers look like war criminals.
Yet again, Rush has proven the left to be the hypocrites they are.

Then why don't you ask Rush why Ron Paul is getting more active duty campaign contributions than any other candidate?
what this has to do with the thread and if you have sufficient command of the English language to comprehend the idea of a thesis statement.
"A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition." -- Rudyard Kipling
important that needs to be answered. What in the world does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Why do you insert Ron Paul into a conversation he has absolutely nothing to do with? Ron Paul's supporters would do their candidate a lot of good by simply shutting their big traps. I don't think that besides socialists Ron Paul leads in any contribution category but that is just me. Rudy raised more in the aftermath of the Moveon.org ad than your guy has since the start of the campaign. I doubt very much that contributions could even be categorized in the manner in which you imply, but frankly that is neither here nor there. This conversation had nothing to do with your guy. I notice he stayed quiet when this bru ha ha happened while everyone jumped over each other to condemn. What does that say about him?

Media Matters produces the statistics for Ron Paul.
What a stupid comment.
Harkin bashed Limbaugh on the Senate Floor today. Dems don't even insinuate or imply anymore. They just blatantly lie. They are now even admitting it. I posted earlier today about CNN Rick Sanchez teaser "Rick Sanchez is getting personal" for an immigration story.

I expect, and accept that politicians will pander to the audience. They will do and say things that may be tacitly a stretching of the truth, or a lie to show themselves in the best light; it is to be expected.
But to openly lie about a topic that any 17 year old intern could have researched is just an amazing testament as to how pathetic the state of DC Politics has become. But as Rush has stated many times, the accusation is many times worse then the actual action and as I see it, this is just an extension of that tactic. Even though the action was that of pointing out a fraud.

It's the triumph of the postmodern "Two Americas" concept. We are creating a country in which political opponents not only have differing opinions, they have differing facts. The Other Guys would say that you are lying because Rush really did insult the troops. Show them a transcript? They have their own transcript. In their transcript, Rush insults the troops.
It's a good thing that we now have Fox News and talk radio, because ever since Bill Clinton taught the Democrats in the media that they really can lie and get away with it, we've seen little else. The only thing that restrains them is the fact that when we have to, we can make as much noise as they do. If Fox News and talk radio did not exist, Dan Rather would still be sitting in the Cronkite position and President Kerry would be abolishing the National Guard.
Drink Good Coffee. You can sleep when you're dead.
They are doing this to keep the Dem subversion of the Parliamentarian and the campaign finance scandals off the front pages.
Harkin told people to NOT listen to Rush. To turn him off. What about smart Americans making up their own mind? Oh yeah, the elitists think they are compelled to tell us sheep what to do for our own good.
What a disgusting piece of #$$%%. I'd only be so lucky to run into Harkin during the pheasant hunting season in Iowa.

in 1979 that he had flown missions over Vietnam doing the Vietnam War, thinking people would be too dumb to look up his
Record
"Consider this excerpt from a Wall Street Journal story by James M. Perry, dated December 26, 1991.
"In 1979, Mr. Harkin, then a congressman, participated in a round-table discussion arranged by the Congressional Vietnam Veterans' Caucus. 'I spent five years as a Navy pilot, starting in November of 1962,' Mr. Harkin said at that meeting, in words that were later quoted in a book, Changing of the Guard, by Washington Post political writer David Broder. 'One year was in Vietnam. I was flying F-4s and F-8s on combat air patrols and photo-reconnaissance support missions. I did no bombing.'
"That clearly is not an accurate picture of his Navy service. . . . Mr. Harkin's Navy record shows his only decoration is the National Defense Service Medal, awarded to everyone on active service during those years. He did not receive either the Vietnam Service medal or the Vietnam Campaign medal, the decorations given to everyone who served in the Southeast Asia theater."
"It turned out Mr. Harkin had not seen combat and was stationed in Japan."
Clearly, not the best qualified individual to talk about others, in regard to truth in what one says.
Media Matters claims Rush edited out 95 seconds from his "complete" transcript.
Edited (as they claim):

The complete audio and transcript, as they claim, is a few minutes into the audio on this page:
http://mediamatters.org/items/200709280010?f=h_latest
Did Media Matters fake that, including the audio?
Either Rush edited it for some reason or Media Matters somehow fabricated his voice. Which is it?

Reality: Thompson/Romney Dream: Santorum/Watts.
If Media Matters said the sky was blue, you might want to run outside to double check it, but it doesn't mean it's automatically false either.
They claim he deleted a minute and a half of his show and put up an audio with it on there. Now are you claiming they fabricated that, or is it possible Rush just deleted it as fluff that had no bearing on the context of his claim? If the latter, he could have just simply inserted a beep in the audio and elipse in the transcript and no harm done. Maybe it was just an innocent oversight.
But claiming just because MM reported means it HAS to be false is not a rational response.
I beg to differ. It is rational to disregard any claims asserted by a group known to produce material of questionable reliability. It is a waste of my precious time to do the research to establish the basic facts which ought to have been present before they made their hypotheses. Knowing they are Soros funded with an axe to grind, dismissing them as false and misleading out of hand is a rational response.
Wait, that was 1973. I guess the world has a shorter attention span these days.
I still don't see anything that indicates that Rush was making the equation "soldier support withdrawal from Iraq" = "phony soldiers".
The conversation seems to formulate the equation "individuals who make false claims of Iraq (or military) service" = "phony soldiers".
The allegedly elided portion is a birdwalk, which happens all the times in converations, after which the topic returns to "phony soldier".
And yes, the "phony soldiers" is plural, but I'm not sure why that should change the equation from the second to the first.
Hardly something for a congressional resolution.
You ruined my Rosemary Woods joke... :-)

I expected so much better quality from you. At least use Rense.com.

on this matter. Did he abstain since this is not the sort of thing that the Senate should bring up, or did he get in on the act?

want to condemn John Murtha for calling our soldiers murderers. Also, now that they have been exonerated of these charges, where is the apology?
when are the Democrats going to just come out and vote for a resolution to send the military to hell, while praising Bin Laden and the terrorists for their "enlightened" ideals? Do the Dems have no shame?
R.J.
the Dems and Liberals won't condemn those (Murtha, MoveOn) they agree with.
It's the job of Republicans and Conservatives to keep the actions of these Democrats and Liberals front and center, for all to see.

it has very little to do with care for the troops, just like th O'Reilly bru ha ha had almost nothing to do with racism. This is all about power. The far left doesn't want to take on powerful forces with different perspectives. Instead they look for anyway to marginalize them and this is the latest episode. I found a great article on this here.

Again, I want to point out that the nexus of this attack, just like the attack on O'Reilly, and the Betray Us ad, are all proxies of George Soros, the new rainmaker of the Democratic Party. If you want to take on the party then we all need to expose Soros for what he is.
Incidentally, here is an interesting tid bit about Moveon.org. At the end, Malkin gives all proprietors of blogs a homework assignment, so to speak, if you want to stand up against Moveon.org and I suggest we all do it.
