RedState is pleased to offer you the photo below. To my knowledge, we're the first site to get it and I have to say I agree 100% with the sentiment.

By the way, I did not watermark the picture or anything because getting it out there is more important than RedState getting credit for it. Though we appreciate any recognition for getting it out there, we'd much rather it get circulated. I can confirm the authenticity of the picture.

It is obviously a fake because everything is spelled correctly!
Peace through superior fire power:)
Is it working? If not yet, then when? If our "superior fire power" hasn't worked yet, what makes you think it will anytime soon? If it HAS, then why the f*#( are these soldiers complaining from their bunker in Iraq?
But, really, don't you mean "Political power flows from the barrel of a gun"?
Matthew 5:9, Luke 6:29, Romans 12:20
Maybe you are calling my reply to Rightmom a "pile of s&*t". That's ok, 1st Amendment and all.
I just wonder, if you don't have anything smart to say, what compels you to reply at all? Do you think Rightmom's honor needs your defense? And WOW, what a stunning defense it is!

although I would have liked to have seen a little fire in the belly. I'm not rejoicing in his departure-I wish I had never seen him post here at all. Just raises my blood pressure, and I have no way of beating him down, since he's obviously already deranged to the point where logic doesn't work.

And they are gloating about it. Bet it makes your beer taste all that much better.
Could it have been his name? Or it could have been that YOU DUMBf**ks were too sensitive to pointed questions.
Still, it's pretty funny!
Or shifts to other means of harrasment ?

Who had the repeat action ??
Just for the record demonstrating a lack of emotional control does your cause no good.
I know this is wasted, but you could try participating with an open mind here.

He decided to use military deaths for cheap comedic fodder. Go crawl back under your rock. When you actually decide to come in and use that little thing God might have given you called a brain, then we can debate and discuss.
Until then, stop wasting oxygen.

But where did Reid and Pelosi say that our troops were worth peanuts?
Just maybe their picture has something to do with all the pork and surrender language shoveled into the bill.
1. Freakin read the sign in the photo. Then read what you wrote. They aren't the same are they, genius?
2. Be familiar with the subject before you post. It helps you avoid beclowning yourself, should that be a concern, and it doesn't waste our time, which is our concern.
3. Go post somewhere else.
"A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition." -- Rudyard Kipling
1) "Freakin read the sign...". The soldier's certainly imply that they think Pelosi and Reid think of soldiers' value as roughly on par with peanuts. The question isn't out of line, though your vacuous response proves you don't know when OR where Pelosi or Reid said they think the soldiers' are worth peanuts.
I noticed President Bush said "I like peanuts as much as the next guy, but I believe the security of our troops should come before the security of our peanut crop" So, he's willing to hold up $100Billion for troop security of $74Million for peanut storage?
Too bad. Like the soldiers in the pic, I thought the troops were worth more than peanuts too. Evidently, President Bush has different priorities.
2) "Be familiar with the subject before you post.". Try some of your own medicine.
"and it doesn't waste our time, which is our concern." Did you waste your time, streiff? How you spend (waste) your time is your choice to make... why blame others? What a whiner!
3) "Post somewhere else." What, and miss out on your edgamacated, and all-laughs, all-nonsense self-beclowning reply? Ha! Not a chance, bozo!

You feel a need to defend tangential remarks by streiff? It's OK by me, despite "the rules" you know. But can't you do it by addressing pertinent questions or issues? Just how far "off topic" can YOU venture without feeling hypocritical?

But what about "Free Speech"?
For us who "claim" to love our country, we are sure gleeful strangling someone's voice.
That one had to be maybe under 5 minutes...pretty good shooting "BlamSquad".

I'm a newbie, and I gotta say I LOVE this site! As an elementary (fifth grade) teacher, it's so refreshing to read comments/news that I can relate too! Needless to say, my profession doesn't lend itself to too many convservatives. Is there anybody out here doing any blogging in regards to education in our country? I'd love to get some insight! Keep up the good work all!

we have a former Marine turned teacher who writes regular articles about teaching. This one entitled Linking Fragile Toilet Paper to Teaching Teenage Girls talks about being a male teacher. Lee has several other articles in the Human Interest section on his teaching exploits.
I will check it out. I'm an Army Reservist who is recently returned from Kuwait. I'll be heading back to the classroom this fall.

Thank you for your military service - and for teaching our children. It takes guts to do either one.
BTW - I too am a teacher in a government school, there are more of us in the VRWC than many realize. Stand your ground, you will be respected for it.

I'm linking to it on my blog, hoping that as many people can see it as possible.
I wonder if in 20 years we will look into our children's history books and see this picture alongside a page about Iraq...

Or, anti-war/anti-surge ones? Any pictures of troops holding up banners talking about how the war is lost/pointless/meaningless?
You'd think that, if our troops are really demoralized by this fight, some of them would have held up banners to that effect. (With their faces obscured, of course).
Anyone? How 'bout you, maxwells silver hammer?
"Who will stand/On either hand/And guard this bridge with me?" (Macaulay)
It has been 67 days since the President sent his request for the necessary funds to support our troops fighting the war.
When will the Democrats observe a cease fire in their war against President Bush and pass legislation providing the necessary war funding to support the troops engaged in a real war that does not try to legislate defeat?
and when angry they can be spiteful. Make that more spiteful then usual. Rumbles may be heard of military interference in civilian affairs, threats to our beloved, if ignored Constitution, calls for an immediate investigation, make that ten investigations, and heartfelt promises to get the appropriations bill out sometime the next year.
At least our demoralized troops from our broken down ,shattered Army haven't lost their sense of humor. They must not know we've lost the war.

Don'cha just love it? Thanks RedState!
Got it over at my place here.
GOP Eyes Success On War Funding
Article quotes below:
Senate Republicans yesterday said Democrats are weakening in the war-funding standoff with the White House, citing party infighting and the capitulation of its leaders to meet next week with President Bush.
"They are very divided on the issue," said Sen. Jon Kyl of Arizona, chairman of the Republican Conference. "The Democrats are all over the board on this."
He said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi looked "embarrassed" when they snubbed a White House invitation but then turned around and agreed to the talks on the war-funding bill Mr. Bush vows to veto.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said the Democrats are having "a debate among themselves" and he sees cracks in support for a troop pullout from Iraq.
"The first dam that is going to break is going to be on the other side after they see a presidential veto," the Kentucky Republican said...
Democrats throughout the Senate ranks say they will refuse to withholding troop funding -- a tactic advocated by Mr. Reid.
Sen. Mary L. Landrieu, a Louisiana Democrat up for re-election next year, said she would not block war funds and opposes withdrawal timetables, although she joined the 51-47 vote to pass the carefully worded "goal" of a complete pullout by March 31.
"We must set clear goals and benchmarks for success in Iraq. ... But I cannot support timetables that call for redeployment based on an arbitrary calendar date," Mrs. Landrieu said, stressing she supports full funding for the troops.
"I will continue to support our military personnel as they make strategic decisions in the field that they deem most appropriate to achieving our objectives," she said.
Opposition to blocking war funds also has been voiced by Democratic Sens. Carl Levin of Michigan, chairman of the Armed Services Committee, and Charles E. Schumer of New York, vice chairman of the caucus.
I emailed this to him, and he got a good laugh.
He says it can be "bloody Hell", so soldiers fall back on their sense of humor to make sense of it all.

Anyone care to guess how long it will take the New York Times to post this on their front page?
