Congress as Junior High?

An AP story quotes 30-year old freshman North Carolina Rep. Patrick McHenry (R) as saying that Congress is really no more than a "more sophisticated" junior high school. "There are the nice guys that everybody likes,", he said, " the jocks, the geeks, the bullies -- they're all here. It's a representative democracy."
Do you agree? If so, who are the jocks? Who are the geeks? King and Queen of the prom? Vice Principal? Math Club? Consider this an open thread.

He meant the House. The Senate wold be Sr. High, no?
Ha ha ha.
Just kidding.
I miss the fireworks from that energetic exchange on this site a few weeks ago.
"There are the nice guys that everybody likes,",
Obviously, Mike Pence.
Coburn would have had a dozen more supporters if he had not been up against Stevens. It is only human to defer to an 82-year-old coworker who has been a colleague and perhaps a mentor for one's whole tenure. It appears that it is some of the younger senators who feel less of a personal bond.
Perhaps this is a good argument for term limits?
she would be the cheerleader all the jocks would try to ride next to on the bus home.
Would be John Edwards. 'Course, he didn't stand for reelection, but still...
FOX Late local news just did a leader suggesting that they have word that Mier's is withdrawing.
More when I hear the story.
the Washington Times story that has been circulating all day.
Yeah, sounds like that, but they did a stronger lead-in.
Maybe that's why I don't usually watch the late local news. I can't handle the over-hype.
Well, the World Series is only once a year.
So with the Yankees out, should I go with the League? I'm not sure where I am... but today's game was pretty cool.

Term limits are a big issue to him. He limited himself to 3 terms in the House and retired in 2000. He's limiting himself to two Senate terms.
JD Hayworth: former slob, current jock.
Bill Delahunt(D-MA): class dope
Corrine Brown: class fool
Maxine Waters: class racial arsonist
Henry Waxman: class needer-of-plastic-surgery
so who's the class idiot? Or would that list be to long.
but somewhere near the top of that list would be...
Sheila Jackson Lee
in the context of the current culture war? In other words, do the ends justify the means?
Rep. McHenry is right in describing Congress as a "junior high school." When I worked in the House five years ago, my interns asked me to describe the place. I told them, "This place is a high school. You have all the pettiness, social cliques, nerds, jocks, sycophants, and self-centered pretentiousness that you experienced in your American high school."
They laughed, but I was serious. "If you can think of how your high school worked, that's Congress. The only difference between that place and here is that we get to play with $2 trillion and declare war."
Laugh...but it's true. Spend a week there and tell me otherwise. Do we deserve more? Sure we do. Stop electing the same people each election cycle and you'll see it change. Until then, shuddap.
...and will never graduate to Sr. High, Cynthia al McKinney is Sheila Jackson Lee's role model. Sheila is in awe of "aisle bird" Cynthia at the SOTU addresses. "Girl, how do you always get that seat? and who's your designer?"

he was referring to the House.
Let's see.
Tom Delay - Bully
Dennis Hastert - Jock
Nancy Pelosi - Patchouli Kid
Dennis Kuccinich - Band Camp Kid
