In Which I Apologize For Using the Term "Flavor Aid"

It has come to my attention that I have offended several folks on here by implying that they drink the beverage known as Flavor Aid, which Jim Jones laced with cyanide and convinced his followers to drink. For that offense, I apologize.
There were better ways to express disgreement about the level of trust some people have in Bush, and I should have used them. Instead, I chose a term that was inflammatory and unhelpful, and for that I am sorry.
P. S. I never called anyone a Kool-Aid drinker, for that would have been factually incorrect.
This is just a lousy medium sometimes, with its quick reaction times and personal distance.
I think you're a good guy, and I hope you don't end up leaving.
I must agree with Neil. I think most would know that there was not an intention to be insulting.
Your posts, as others, I have found enlightening, and helpful in understanding our party and its goals.
your passion for your beliefs is constructive, ...that is admirable
I have been less than kind as well. Politics may be a bloodsport but we come to these sites to see what like minded people have to say, and should try to be courteous. Especially to those fighting the same battles.

It has come to my attention, decades ago actually, that there is no Constitutional right not to be offended. Mining the Constitution for a 'right to privacy' was bad enough, let's not give them another one :-)
