A Request for a Capitol Tour

After reading this and this, we are sad but not entirely surprised that Markos Moulitsas has never in fact been inside the Capitol building. We at RedState feel it's incumbent upon us to correct this as soon as possible - so we ask that one of the many Hill staffers who read this blog consider volunteering an opportunity for Kos to have a grand tour of the Capitol. After seeing the statues, the Rotunda, and the historic rooms, we hope he will come away with a better understanding of the Congress, its history, and why people wouldn't want to send the likes of Paul Hackett there.

Give the gift of patriotism this Christmas: give Kos a Capitol tour.

Kos in the Rotunda by SteveMG

And once he's in there, we seal it up?

Nah, what a terrible thing to say during the holidays.

If you're listening Santa, I didn't really mean it.

Shame on me.

powerful blog by gosox

no matter what you think of kos just about every liberal out there runs to him to post on his site.

he seems to have a lot of power, although from what i read over there, most of them live in a dreamworld where conservative ideas are the work of the devil.hey they even think hillary is a right wing fanatic, but you have to admire the pull they have.

RedState seem to think that John McCain is a left wing fanatic. ;)

If Kos is associated in everyone's minds with the Left wing and the Democratic Party, and they manage to crowd everyone else out, that's perfectly all right with me.

To me, one of Kos' great defining moments was his recent series of posts totally reaming out the WaPo editorial page for not coming out strongly against the Administration. (I'm not kidding.) He literally threatened them with unspecified dire consequences two weeks hence, which of course never materialized. I believe that, although he would never admit it, Kos straightforwardly believes he is the pre-eminent voice on the Left and that he has the power, the right, and the duty to force everyone else into line. I guess he doesn't realize that whatever marginal authority the MSM still has comes from making people think they are objective.

Could you give me the margin of error of your survey, Mr. Zogby?

Response rates, too, if you could include them.

Thanks.

Great idea by kowalski

And while he's there, let's see if we can arrange for him to have lunch with Richard Cohen, so they can settle their differences like responsible adults and members of the Reality Based Community.

That it's all about winning to him. I guess how he gets there and how he goes about winning are minor details.

His name is Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, dude.

Mine was tongue-in-cheek too, mind you.

Recruiting groupies from the ranks of Code Pink ain't my idea of success.

Yes by Neil Stevens

And it's written in the Spanish style, so to refer to him as Mr. Zuniga is wrong.

his backpack first and don't let him go to the men's room alone.  And keep an eye on the valubles.

Yeah but by kowalski

He's also Greek, so I guess Augustine may have just inadvertently started a civil war.  For shame, Augustine.  Next time, use the whole name, for Pete's sake.  ;)

True enough by Clayton

And I've corrected the post to reflect that. However it didn't help matters when he started a consulting firm with Jerome called "Armstrong Zúniga LLC"

Merry Christmas by kowalski

And thanks, Gamecock -- Christopher Hitchens be damned.  Hey, at least he'll always have the bottle to ask what the meaning of Christmas is.

Oh man.... by katcdw

Pecan pie.

What were we talking about again?

lack of understanding, even in jest.

No one thinks McCain is a lefty. I've been around in conservative circles for a little while and I've never ever heard that.

What we say is that McCain is not a conservative and that he tends toward being a cynical opportunist.
