Tom DeLay is "confidant that this compromise addresses everyone's concerns." The Senate is due to meet momentarily, and the House is set to vote Sunday. The "bipartisan, bicameral" compromise, Congressional aides told CNN, would allow Terri Shindler-Schiavo's parents to appeal her case to Federal court, where it has been Limited to Florida courts and mostly Judge George Greer so far.

Representative James Oberstar (D-Minnesota) called the measure "narrowly crafted" and "narrowly targeted" ("non-precedential"), meaning it will apply only to Terri Shindler-Schiavo's case.

The tube would be reinserted while the appeals are heard.

UPDATE: The Senate eventually met at about 6:15p on Sunday, with Rick Santorum (R-Pennsylvania) presiding. Major Leader Bill Frist (R-Tennessee) then took care of some ajdournment business and set the Senate to meet at 2p Sunday, with the House being called Sunday as well.
