The Sunday Morning Talk Shows - Lineup

Here's what we have:

Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert will talk to Matt Cooper of 0i>TIME Magazine. He'll also chat with RNC Chair Ken Mehlman vrs. Former Clinton staffer John Podesta, who currently runs the George Soros outfit Center for American Progress.

FOX News Sunday: Host Chris Wallace talks with Arlen Specter and Louisiana's Mary Landrieu, whose vote they say is "key." (They make the same claim of Specter, but he's hopefully in a box.)

Representative Jane Harman (D-California) will be on to discuss Karl Rove and THE LAW.

Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer, will chat, on the Karl Rove matter, with Joe Wilson. Fifty years ago, one thinks, he might have interviewed Joe Stalin for the skinny on the Cold War.

Then he talks to Roy Blunt, Chuckie Schumer, and Lindsey Graham. The House whip and two Senators. Assisting with the frog-marching… er, questions will be Jan Crawford Greenbug of the Chicago Tribune.

This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos WILL NOT AIR. No Steph, no guests. ABC will air the final round of golf at the British Open. This year, it's at the St. Andrews course in Scotland. (Joe Wilson could not make the cut.)

Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolfgang Blitzer talks to Judge Bork, Orrin Hatch vs. Joe Biden, and his usual cast of skillions.

-----

McCain and Hagel are absent, but Joe Biden will be on the CNN show. Chuck Schumer and Lindsey Graham, both beloved of the press for now.

Note that Joe Wilson has slipped to Face the Nation, whereas two years ago, he would have been front-and-center on Russert.

I'll document them and put the report here at RedState on Sunday afternoon.

they seem to at least get what the real news is this week-the retirement of a SCOTUS judge and who is appointed to replace her, and how they will be received in the senate.

(not that I haven't had fun playing the speculation games with the Rove stuff, but I don't know that at this point it is all that important in the big picture).

Landrieu and Specter by Tim Saler

I'll be interested in seeing what US Sens. Mary Landrieu and Arlen Specter have to say, if asked, about this silly idea that Sandra Day O'Connor should rescind her resignation to be named Chief Justice (as if President Bush were going to do that in the first place).

It's deeply offensive to many, myself included, that anybody would be so selfish as to suggest that a woman who has resigned from the Supreme Court so she can spend more time with her ill husband, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, ought to put the ideological and gender balance of the court before her family.

Rove == Stalin? by Cal Dreaming

Who's snarky now?

This is very funny and clearly exposes liberal bias in the so called MSM.

"CNN "Bullshit Coverage" On Karl Rove"

Lou Dobbs Tonight Show on July 15, 2005, as Lou was introducing a piece on the Rove story.

Lou says, "...Rove testifying that he first learned about Plame from columnist Robert Novak, a CNN contributor. Danna Bash reports."

Immediately after that you can clearly hear a female voice on mic whispering "that's bullshit".

Then Dana Bash continues with her report.

The video clip is attached here

You have to watch!

Neither did by ChargingRINO

That didn't come up in either interview - I agree with you though, I found that whole line of speculation off the mark.

a scam.  I remember seeing that piece and never heard the voice.  Maybe it was a replay I saw, but I'm not so sure this couldn't easily have been manufactured, so to speak.

Re: Its a scam by dtlc

Mr. scotte:

It is not a scam.

Frist, you may contact CNN to confirm.  They have simply edited the piece.

Second, I have edited Dobb's photo adding the phrase at the bottom.

I recommend that you let people you know about some of the content on that site before posting it here. It doesn't bother me so much but there are others that may take offense to the "other" content.

Secondly you DO REALIZE that the woman's voice over was part of the newsclip that was filmed HOURS before Dobbs did his show?

You caught CNN making a pretty bad editing error.  You have no idea what the woman was referring to.  She could have been talking about how her boss called in sick that day.  You have no idea.

I think that you've been warned before to avoid using redstate to direct traffic to your own blog.  Also, this post appears to violate the profanity rule.
