Plea for Information About Hurricane Victims

From Diaries...if you can help, please do. You can also consider this a good thread to trade similiar requests

Sometime tonight I realized I was missing an opportunity to take advantage of this forum for a very personal, yet I believe also a very pertinent purpose.  Since Hurricane Katrina I have been completely unable to track down any information concerning some very dear friends of mine who lived in the New Orleans area.

They are the Reed family.  The Reed family consists of Michael and Theresa Reed, their sons Travis and Trey, and their daughter Teila, along with her husband who lives with Teila at Michael and Theresa's house.

The Reed Family lived in Metairie, which is a suburb of New Orleans. Their address was 1900 Apple Street.  I would not disclose such information if I were not terribly concerned about them.  The only information I've been able to come across on the condition of Metairie comes in the form of oblique references like this. I desperately want to know what has become of the Reeds.  I consider RedState to be something of an online family to me, so I know you will help if you can. If anyone reading this has information about the Reed family, please contact me by using the e-mail address I've provided with my user ID here.

Would appreciate info on the fate of Christine Kelly of Chartres St. in New Orleans.

and many others I'm sure

I've just come across this, and me and a couple of NOLA bloggers are telling everyone to use it.

Please direct everyone to this directory. You can check and leave messages there. It looks empty now, but it is the first one working.

I spoke with Dan Chaney, who put it together. He's got plenty of bandwidth, plenty of server, and he's knocking out new search tools now.

But we got to get the information in, and into one place.

I sound like a spammer, but it's not spam. The sooner we get names into tables, the easier it's going to be to find people.

Kind of hard to get your bearings - many of these are rotated when you open them so it takes some poking around to figure what's where. We found my parents' house and my sister's house in Metairie eventually.

After several people by Leverkuhn

e-mailed me asking me what I've found out about the Reeds, I decided I should go ahead and tell you all that I found out yesterday that they are in fact safe.  They will be allowed into their homes soon, but only to get their valuables.
