March 15 = Storm the White House Day! - Only, not.

Actually, if you read the blurb, you'll discover that they don't have the guts to actually do anything that might put them in danger of being inconvenienced, let alone arrested - and certainly they'll never, ever do anything that might get them shot. It's all going to be signs and whines, instead. The irony about all of this would be palpable, if it weren't for the minor fact that these folks routinely kill all forms of it within ten yards. (H/T Wizbag)
More relevantly, March 15 is also Eat An Animal for PETA Day. As always, for those of us who don't eat meat for their own reasons: anything doused in barbeque sauce counts, as long as you're doing it expressly for the purpose of annoying a member of PETA.
If you don't feel like mocking the antiwar movement and/or PETA, open thread away.

In one of the year-2000 presidential debates, candidates were asked who their favorite philosopher was. Bush's answer was, "Christ, because he changed my heart."
About a third of Americans were comforted by that answer. Another third were indifferent to that answer. And the remaining third, either thought it was just blatant pandering to his base, OR they were HORRIFIED by the answer. "Storm the White House Day" is for that last very small segment who were horrified--horrified by the "big lie" that Republicans have hearts, for starters.
I'm sure for "the horrified" (the angry nutburgers) it only goes downhill from there. When Bush advocates income tax cuts, defining marriage in a traditional way, and using the military for more than just a worldwide meals-on-wheels service, then GW Bush may as well be a mass murderer to them--the second coming of Adolf Hitler. Thus, "Storm the White House."

is a "cruncy conservative"? I've read little bits about it on this site, but still have no real understanding of what makes one a "crunchy" conservative. Is there such a thing as a "chunky" conservative? Or a "soggy" conservative? Do "crunchy" conservatives contain rice or nougat? I'm confused. Thanks for any help.
It taste like a cross between California Condor, and Bald Eagle.
...as in granola and raw organic broccoli. Environmentalist, or vegetarian conservatives.
It means conservative on most fiscal issues, and family oriented, but likes some big 1960's ideas, like conservation, finding oneself, back to nature, ect. It was formerly called Granola conservative.
Earth First! - We'll log the other planets later.
...except human. Human tastes like pork.

With a little help from my trusty old KookParser (tm)
"U.N. SOS - We need your help to end the reign of international criminals.
I agree. It's about time, too. They're wasting valuable real estate smack dab in the middle of Manhattan. Don't the Jets need a stadium or something?
Murder for occupation and theft of land is illegal.
That's right, get rid of Mugabe.
Murder of journalists is criminal.
Time for Castro to go.
Remove the traitors who have stolen the U.S. budget
I guess they mean the Dems in Congress. I wouldn't call them traitors, but they've got a point there about the budget, no?
If we were the ones burying thousands and thousands of our family members and watching the destruction of the homes, schools, churches and offices that we had worked for decades to build, we would hope that someone, somewhere would care enough to do something for us.
Thanks to us, this is no longer a problem. The Taliban, last time I checked were looking up and seeing the ground.(some dead, some not, either way is fine with me).
We must put the power of the people into action and stay there until they leave!
Most definitely, open borders is not a joke.
We will not allow the Slave Holders that Still Prevail in this Country to Rule us any longer.
Brave guys these, they actually had the courage to say that while in Sudan!!!
The Administration is Criminal and if they will not step down, we must storm in, show them how many of us do not accept a criminal government. How can we stand by and watch them kill our brothers, sisters, journalists and friends for their dollars?
Chavez, are you listening?
We need all of you to save U.S. victims and global victims from their ongoing criminal activity.
Al Queda, you are dead meat.
We are calling on the military, police, citizens and religious organizations to stand with us and help us to bring democracy back to the United States
Couldn't agree more. Judicial activism is the scourge of any democracy and must be stopped.
What they have done all over the world is much worse than what Saddam Hussein has done, so why are they not in jail too?
Iran is MUCH worse. After all, Saddam didn't deny the Holocaust!
bring signs that say U.N. SOS and "Leave Now"
Or at least pay your parking tickets.
A little too shrill, but they make some good points. (I don't know what's wrong with their word processor though, it kept on putting in the letters "u" and "s" where they made no sense at all. They also mentioned "White House" and "Bush" a couple of times, but that was probably Rove. He has to get his two cents into everything, you know).
You mean you haven't tried any yourself? You should when you get a chance. They're delicious. Much better than chicken, although my favorite is Alaskan caribou.
at least use Cindy Sheehan as a battering ram. She'll never notice.
Hey folks, how about when we eat our offensive products on "Piss-off PETA day" we go ahead and piss off our other good friends by making sure that what we eat is part of the four main food groups. For those who are unfamiliar, the four main food groups are:
- Bacon
- Ham
- Pork-Chops
- Ribs
The RedHot posts were a result of subjecting ourselves to reading the abomination that is the CrunchyCon blog without taking an illegal narcotic ahead of time.
Goldberg's piece was good, though.
As a cattle raiser, I am thrilled to hear that March 15th is Eat an Animal for PETA Day!
Must dash now. Off to the printer to order brochures and banners to advertise the event.
I dont know that the blurb pulls back from advocating the overthrow of the government. It seems clear that is their written intention.
The Administration is Criminal and if they will not step down, we must storm in, show them how many of us do not accept a criminal government.
Of course, I am sure this was the brainchild of someone who, in the 60s, stormed their university presidents office and took it over. I dont think they realize the difference.
Whether that is a catchy marketing idea someone came up with or not, if they carried out their plan, wouldnt that be an overt act of treason? (I think just the announcement's call to action is bordering on that). Or at least something that would cause the revocation of their US citizenship?
in eating endangered animals, then eat a moderate Democrat. The herd is getting mighty thin these days.
To my friends here at Redstate who have been having this love fest with our great ally, the UAE. The free and enlightened UAE, who wouldn't come within a mile of Islamic radicals, who just want to be more like us (if we would let them), what do you think of this?
The parent company of a Dubai-based firm at the center of a political storm in the US over the purchase of American ports participates in the Arab boycott against Israel, The Jerusalem Post has learned.
Just asking.
Following up on the RedHot...
What are the chances of Jay Cutler arriving at the Jets?
With Leinart, Bush, and Vince Young in the mix, isn't it possible that the Jets would end up with Cutler? They have the #4 pick overall.
Texans, Saints, and Titans go ahead of the Jets. I know Texans are talking about trading their #1 pick but with this crop, I don't exactly know who would take them up on it.
I could see Texans going for Bush, Saints going for Leinart/Young, and the Titans going for Leinart/Young (whoever wasn't picked by the Saints.
And no one needs a QB more than the Jets with questions about Chad.
Thoughts?

Lisa: "but dad, they're all from the same animal"
Homer: "Oh sure, Lisa, from one MAGICAL animal!"
I can see why a protestor wouldn't want to get shot, afterall our brave soldiers in Iraq don't want to get shot, no one wants to take a bullet for BIG OIL! The only reason were in Iraq is it has 200 billion barrels of oil. To me oil isn't worth dying for!
that someone with the mojo will stumble over this fool in the immediate future, thus relieving us of one more irritation in life.
a quick look at his comments shows no contribution of value at all. Not that mine are every time but at least I try to play fair!
we can make a "citizens blam" as in "citizens arrest"?
some mighty fine North Carolina pork barbeque. Why Allen & Sons BBQ(gotta git in the plug) is only a few miles up NC 86 from Chapel Hill. Man Mr. Allen slow cooks those pork shoulders for almost 12 hours. The smoke from the hickory chips just adds such a flavor hard to describe. The french fries with the skin on ,,,,,,wow. peach cobbler prepared on site. Can't ask for more then washed down with good 'ol iced tea southern style. Yessir.....
Here's a toast to PETA...............
Buuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrppppppppppppp!!
Its so obvious this war is about oil. Prove to me it isn't.
I don't know if you've realized, but you're under "Citizens Blam". We're holding you till the real "Blammers" get here.
Why should be leaving? Its a free country! My ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War, and died for our freedom. I'm a patriot to the core. Prove to me Big Oil isn't behind this war!
Prove that you don't beat your wife.
Why is everyone riled up, now?
Okay, I just read this thread all the way back to its beginning, and the only thing funnier than the content of RedPatriot's original post, was that it came in response to a comment about Jay Cutler. Yet another reason to love trolls.
Blam.
By the way guys, you can use the contact form next time.
From what I hear, the Jets would really like to get their hands on Leinart if possible. It depends on what the Saints do though, because they are also supposed to be heavily interested in Leinart. I think if it ends up going Bush-Leinart-Young, the Jets would have an awful hard time passing up on D'Brickashaw Ferguson. The man is a monster, and awfully athletic for a tackle. I think we're talking about a Pace/Ogden type that can anchor a line for years to come. If the Jets were to go for Cutler, I think they'd try to move down a few spots to do it. Mario Williams might also be a possibility for them at #4, seeing as they can't keep John Abraham happy and are likely to lose him one way or the other.
Me, I'm hoping Cutler can find his way down to pick #16 and become the next quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. I think Leon's prediction is right, that Cutler will be the much better pro between him and Leinart, and I want Cutler on my team.
will trade with Houston for the #1 pick and take Leinhart.
Saints will take Cutler
Titans will take Reggie Bush
Texans will take Fergusen
Green Bay will take Williams
SF will take Hawk
Raider trade down to ???? and V.Young goes there
That scenario makes a lot of sense. I guess it depends on Young's stock... I really doubt he will be an effective NFL QB but obviously that's not the consensus view. Everyone can agree though that Cutler and Leinart are fairly safe bets to at least be average-- though Cutler is probably overrated at this point.
Were I a GM, I'd forget about taking a QB early and look for value at that position in the mid-rounds.
There was this comment: "Texans going for Bush". Maybe the troll never heard of Reggie Bush, or the Houston Texans.
But then again, the Houston Texans were specifically created to replace the Houston Oilers, so clearly, TheSophist's post was really a Rovian mind ray about the War for Oil™.
if the Iraq war was all about oil, then why am I paying over 2 dollars per gallon? Hello, if the war was all about the oil, logically oil prices would go down at least a little.

I will happily partake of the beef this March 15th because annoying PETA members is fun.
But I will also be reflecting on the death of one of the greatest, most cunning Generals, in all of roman history. Julius Caesar.
Of whom I've become more and more convinced either orchestrated his own murder or simply let it happen to fulfill his destiny as he saw it! To be remembered in death as he was in life.
