a)Doesn't matter; they're all just trying to support their families, partake in the American dream ... and besides, they might vote Republican if we get them registered.

b)It was by the sober sense of our citizens that we were safely and steadily conducted from monarchy to republicanism, and it is by the same agency alone we can be kept from falling back (Thomas Jefferson)

Specialization is for insects. (Robert Heinlein)

e)I'm mad as h*ll, and I'm not going to take it anymore!

f)"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a d*mn!"

Here's the key:

Mostly A's: You're a Republican party faithful. Hey, they may have made some mistakes now and again, but it's better than Democrats

Mostly B's, except for question 7: You're still voting Republican, but you're beginning to wonder why

Mostly C's: You voted Republican in the past, but have been watching the leadership methodically sell out your conservative ideals. Pat Buchanan is beginning to make some sense. So is Michael Savage.

Mostly D's: You voted Republican, but at this point, you don't care what happens as long as the Republican leadership in Washington gets punished for betraying you. At times you wish you could vote for Ron Paul -- and that cabin out in the woods is getting more attractive every day.

Mostly E's: You'll vote for a name you can remember if the polls aren't too crowded, and if it's on your way home from work. But, please -- don't bother!

No ... by FrauBudgie

I'd still rather have the Repubs in charge than the Dems.

At this point in time, we need unity more than we need division.

But -- there's alot of anger out there, mostly around the border issue, and spending. Republican leaders ignore it at their peril.

They don't necessarily go together.  Goldwater, for instance, supported gay rights.

And one can oppose judicial supremacy as manifested by Roe, Casey, the VMI case, Romer, Lawrence, etc., and believe that the commerce clause doesn't let Congress regulate anything they want to, and still not be a free marketer.

By the way, my favorite movie is "On the Waterfront".  Not sure if that shows my conservatism, but I highly recommend it to everyone.  If you haven't seen it, it's an incomparable masterpiece.

An odd mix by The Gadfly

a=3, b=1, c=5, d=1

but while Pat once agreed with me, we parted ways a couple of years back.

On question 1 they forgot the "then shoot them" part, although I'd give diplomacy a shot first.

On question 2, if you don't expempt social programs from cuts, it becomes much easier to balance the bugdet without making deep cuts, so I'm not convinced there'd be a lot of slack for the charities to take up. I would generally oppose these programs anyway because of the effect they have on the souls of those who administer them. If the Holy Spirit hasn't gifted you with charity, working in those positions makes you meaner than a repo man.

On 3, they don't have to make it a felony, they just need to build the wall first, then start deporting. I have no objections to fining the businesses that hire them either. Unless the business can prove they had James Bond quality forged documents.

Question 4 has just plain screwy answers. Reform the system unilaterally to private accounts.

5 through 9 have acceptable answers.

On 10, I kind of like all except E.

And What's wrong with Narnia anyways?
