"Women are suffraging everywhere!"

In one of the most tasteless, yet hysterical routines of the remarkably tasteless Man Show, featured a petition drive to "stop women's suffrage" which, of course - drew both signatures and howls of protest. (btw, this shtick was reprised at a high school in April.)

Now comes truth funnier than fiction. Angela Moore is a Democrat running for Secretary of State in Georgia. In fact, according to her bio, she's "a life long and dedicated Democrat." Well, good for her. Not one for embracing traditional campaign tactics, Ms. Moore features some nice music "Vote for Miss Angela" on her web site imploring us to Vote or Die.

But most admirable of all is Ms. Moore's committment to the people of Georgia to have

"a collaborative effort to protect the disenfranchisement of thousands of voters across Georgia unable to obtain a mandatory photo ID.

Right. Protect disenfranchisement. I see. A very novel approach to voting rights, indeed.

now I'm going to have "Vote for Miss Angela... Vote for Miss Angela... Vote for Miss Angela... Vote for Miss Angela... Vote for Miss Angela... Vote for Miss Angela..." stuck in my head the rest of the day.

...and Disenfranchisement both taken directly from the mind of that genius political strategist - Sean "Puffy" Combs!

not crazy about this post . . .

I'm a big fan of campaign website screwups - even if they're on our side. Just a bit sweeter if they're on the other side.

the unemployed, the dead, the comatose, cats and government workers is what I like. "If you do nothing else on July 18th, Vote."

see that someoen is looking out for the people who can't get a photo ID.  It's not difficult so I'm guessing those people shouldn't be voting anyway.

As for the Man Show routine, it's hilarious.  I can't remember where, but I have seen others try the same thing and evertime it works.  The ignorance is amazing, kind of like watching Jay Walking on Leno.

The music, the life story, the graphics, the grammar.  Someone should begin a project (multipartisan) to archive campaign websites - especially ones that are not slick and professional.

Vote for Miss Angela!  She has friends with Garageband!

Sounds like by peg c

an Emily Litella skit to me.

me wince.  I should stay far away from the internet when I'm sensitive due to migraine.

The effort is described as collaborative... I wonder with whom she's collaborating?

In Delaware by ConservativeMutant

Salesianum (male) students tricked a number of girls from Padua Academy into signing a petition to end women's suffrage and videotaped it. Ouch.

Apparently someone from Miss Angela's campaign reads Redstate!

Protecting "the disenfranchisement" has been changed to "the right to vote".
