BREAKING. Senate Begins To "Drain the Swamp" By Electing An Alligator As Majority Leader

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Ky. smiles while answering a reporter's question at a news conference following a closed-door policy meeting on Capitol Hill in Washington, Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016. The Senate will take no action on anyone President Barack Obama nominates to fill the Supreme Court vacancy, Senator McConnell said as nearly all Republicans rallied behind his calls to leave the seat vacant for the next president to fill. His announcement came after Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee ruled out any hearing for an Obama pick. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)

No surprise.

Unlike some, I didn’t have an issue with the election of Paul Ryan as Speaker. Ryan is as conservative as we’re going to get in the House and when you compare him to John Boehner, he is a huge step up. Mitch McConnell, though, is a totally different animal. He is a gutless poltroon in his dealings with Democrats but a fascist in his dealings with conservative members of the Senate. He is the guy who promised us he’d begin unraveling Obamacare if he had a majority and, when we gave him one, he did nothing. He is the guy who allowed Bob Corker to cut a deal with Obama that gave Iran nuclear weapons. His word is worth nothing. He has never met a barrel he couldn’t pork or an influence he couldn’t peddle. If there is a less qualified person to actually ram a conservative Supreme Court nominee down Chuck Schumer’s throat that Mitch McConnell, I can’t imagine who it would be… okay, I can, but Thad Cochran would get lost in the basement of his house searching for his mistress and never make the vote.

It is hard to imagine a worse majority leader to assist Trump and Pence than Mitch McConnell.
