Is There A Trend For Big Brobama in the Polls? Or is it MSM Fraud?

Cooking the Books for Big Brobama

At Newsbusters, author Tom Blume has an interesting analysis of MSM polling, which shows no real trend for the Big Brobama!

See:
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tom-blumer/2008/10/02/cooking-ap-polls-radically-changes-party-mix-fabricate-obama-trend

And:

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tom-blumer/2008/10/02/wapo-ignores-its-own-poll-showing-mccain-gain-focuses-palin-allegedly-dr

If Mr. Blume is even close to being right, when you combine this with any possible “Bradley Effect,” you will conclude that leftists are being much too optimistic right now!

Which means that any pessimism here is also wrong!

I’ve said this enough that I’m sure people are sick of it now, but my only caution is that Rasmussen is also showing a decent Obama lead.

Rasmussen has been pretty fair over the years, and he does apply his party ID results correctly.

But then it has also been pointed out that he polled New Hampshire at +7 Obama during the primaries, and Hillary won by 3.

I think that as we calm down from the financial crisis, and people start dealing with the new reality, then the race will drift back toward a tie. The next two debates are going to be important though.

Let’s all pray that the voters return to sanity. :)

This scenario is underhanded and sleazy enough for that very desperate bunch.
The next 2 or 3 appointments to the supreme court ride on this election, as does abortion and gun control.

It’s long been suspected that the decisions aren’t made anywhere near dnc hq.
    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

    conspiracy theory?………..wait and see.

On or about October 5th, Biden will excuse himself from the ticket, citing
health problems, and he will be replaced by Hillary. This is timed to occur
after the VP debate on 10/2.

There have been talks all weekend about how to proceed with this info.
Generally, the feeling is that we should all go ahead and get it out there
to as many blog sites and personal email lists as is possible. I have
already seen a few short blurbs about this – the ‘health problem’ cited in
those articles was aneurysm. Probably many of you have heard the same
    rumblings.

However, at this point, with this inside info from the DNC, it looks like
this Obama strategy will be a go. Therefore, it seems that the best
strategy is to get out in front of this Obama maneuver, spell it out in
detail, and thereby expose it for the grand manipulation that it is.

So, let’s start mixing this one up and cut the Obamites off at the pass -
send this info out to as many people as you can – post about it on web sites
    and blogs – etc.

all of them Biden named VP candidate, DNC, Palin Bounce, RNC & others & he has Obama up 10 in N.H., In the primaries he had Obama up 7 in his last N.H. poll & HRC won by 25

Even without the aroma of a conspiracy theory, why would the Dems believe Shrillary is better than Biden at this point?

To counter Palin, who supposedly is a disaster – according to them – ? Why would you need to counter a disaster?

    They would be admitting…

Well, no, of course not! They would REALLY believe that Biden has health problems, and that OF COURSE the runner-up will take his place!

But…that means…uh, why was she not chosen for the #2 spot to begin with?

    Hmmm!

And why would Big Brobama risk his life with Shrillary at #2? (:{})

I’m not going to feel comfortable until I start seeing some real trends with movement toward McCain. I can be encouraged by these tidbits, but I’m not going to pin my hopes on flawed polls and the Bradley Effect.

I worked with a guy back in 1984 who refused to believe the polls. He kept mimicing Mondale, saying “the only poll that matters is on election day”.

He was not a happy camper the day after Reagan’s 49 state landslide.

If she gets to the #2 seat and something happens to Obama (like someone else we all know) then she is #1

  • Dave_in_Fla

If you don’t look at Rasmussen (I know, I’m fixated on him), you do see a very close race, with an edge toward Obama.

Given the last 3 weeks of a brutal beating McCain has taken, that is actually pretty amazing. I think last night’s debate is going to move the polls a point or two.

But McCain still has to win this thing. Next Tuesday’s debate is going to be very important. But then, Bush pulled it out with a strong performance in the townhall style debate in 2004, and McCain is a lot better at those than Bush.

I hope they have something lined up to start smacking Obama with regarding the economy. That is what is going to be critical to pull this out.

…on the movement of regular Army soldiers and how certain numbers are being re-deployed throughout the U.S.: one of their tasks – he says, from an unnamed source at The Army Times (I found nothing in their website about this) – will be to keep the peace inside the U.S. in case of outbreaks of civil unrest connected to either the election or the economy’s troubles.

With polls screaming that the election is basically over, and that Big Brobama will be winning by 5-10% on election day, if that does not happen, you might very well need federal troops deployed throughout the country.

    An excerpt:

I fully expect “Mighty Joe” Biden to crush Sarah “I-Shot-Bullwinkle” Palin like a grape. One thing I will not take for granted, however, is the industriousness of the right-wing spin machine. They will be out in full force tonight attempting to alter reality and voter opinion. This is our opportunity to help counter Repug spin, engage in a little psychological warfare and perhaps even influence a voter or two, if we’re very lucky. First Order of Business: REC THIS DIARY! Keep it out there where everyone can see it.

Is the right wing domination of the MSM. If it even possible for the media to lean further left? Do they think anyone believes that line?

Lord, if we had total domination of a major institution of society, I’d be gloating about it, not insanely screaming about how I don’t control it enough.

  • IJB

It took me a few years, but more than the media conglomerate “ownership” angle, what really bothers the hard-core Left is that the media isn’t constantly advocating the overthrow of the capitalist system.

That’s what they mean by “right-wing dominated media” – they mean that the Media isn’t do anything to fundamentally get rid of capitalism and free-markets.

Basically, those people are so far Left, the Press actually is to the right of them!

(Needless to say, a lot of these types are also 9/11 “Troofers”, so they are nutters all!)
