Charlie Crist Hearts Obama and the Ground Zero Mosque

Florida’s newly “independent” governor, Charlie Crist, has come out in full support of the Ground Zero mosque by supporting Obama’s position:

Gov. Charlie Crist, R-Fla., who was among those who met with Obama on Saturday, lauded the president’s position.

“I think he’s right — I mean you know we’re a country that in my view stands for freedom of religion and respect for others,” Christ said after the Florida meeting with Obama and other officials. “I know there are sensitivities and I understand them. This is a place where you’re supposed to be able to practice your religion without the government telling you you can’t.”

Apparently he doesn’t read the news, polls, and blogs explaining that most Americans are against the Ground Zero mosque and hasn’t realized that many of the Democrats are distancing themselves from Obama to win their elections.

Whatever happened to the reverence we as Americans held for the victims of 9/11? We have gone from a country bonded together, to one torn apart by the MSM, politics, religion, and race. We promised we would never forget and not even a decade out, this support for the mosque from elected officials allows for the trampling of the memory of each and every person who died in the 9/11 attacks.

Remember, America?

The ad is called “Respect” for a reason and was shown only once. Respect. Such a small word, but captured the emotions held by Americans–even to this day.

To narrowly twist this issue into one of “rights” and not a provocation is ultimately a seal of approval.

I saw it the one time it played. Wonder why they showed it only once. The Budweiser Clydesdales represent traditional America, the way America used to be. Almost impossible to believe how much we’ve lost in the last decade.

As for Charlie Crist, the only sensitivities he “understands” is political, but it is surprising that he doesn’t see the toxicity of Obama’s coattails. Unfortunate for the people of Florida if they’re fooled, too.

The man is duplicitous scum. I’d actually rather vote for Parker Griffith than Charlie Christ. Ever time I see the schmuck, I secretly laugh about the old Loonety Tunes cartoon where Buggs Bunny sawed off Florida!

For people who live and die by polls, these lefties are getting really math phobic.

Gallup: 61% oppose mosque at the site 2 blocks from the WTC.

Fox: 64% of New Yorkers (most Dems. and mostly libs.) oppose the Cordoba House at the chosen site.

What do these pols not understand?

No one opposes mosques per se. But they do oppose introducing a symbol of the enemy where dust and debris from the collapsing Twin Towers fell nine years ago.

    Get a grip. Vote Rep.

ground breaking for mosque is on 9/11. If so, I hope Bloomberg has trained his riot police well. If this is correct these people have to be the stupidest in the world.

      Need to confirm that.

towards outbreaks of violence as we have feared for some time now. It wouldn’t be a surprise, and I don’t necessarily think it’s stupidity on their part. It may well be coordinated for other purposes.

to risk their lives putting out a fire at that mosque.

It’s next year, if they can get a construction crew to build it.

  • GregInFla

O’Reilly is the realist here: “The mosque will not get built. Not one construction crew from New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut will work on that site.”

Then again, Greg the Red Eye guy says to put a gay bar next door to cater to the gay Muslim community who may feel left out. Why not add a gentlemen’s club as well?
