Mike Huckabee Explains the Stimulus Bill.

Watch this video.  Mike Huckabee totally hits it out of the park when he says what the title of the stimulus/porkulus bill ought to be. Oh, and for those of you who don’t like Huckabee, I understand; however, funny is funny and right is right. Like my Daddy always says, “Even a broken clock is right twice a day” (I’m not calling Governor Huckabee a “broken clock”, I’m just trying to make a point). Anyway, enjoy and laugh out loud–it’s good for you.

He needs to move to Cal and terminate Aanold’s reign…

I’m not a regular watcher, and, at first, his show seemed to get off to a rocky start. However, lately (whenever I catch it), Huck really seems to be hitting his stride.

Thanks humor is always welcome. Sometimes the Dims, make it hard to see the humor through their rancor.

    • Susannah

I’m glad that I could make you laugh. :-)

And he’s right. The primary purpose of the CRAP is not the people of the United States, it was to line the pockets of congresscritters and their cohorts.

  • sdan

priceless and right on the money.

    • Susannah

I’m glad that you liked it. :-)

I also think that itrytobenice hit it out of the park (in her previous comment) when she stated that the main purpose of this bill is to “line the pockets of the congresscritters and their cohorts”.

Thanks for posting it. Yes, we need to laugh sometimes.

Re: Your statement about not liking Huckabee.

I didn’t like him in the primaries because some things/opinions he said just didn’t sit well with me but he’s a very likable fellow, really. Plus, I think he has learned a lot from the primaries that he probably hadn’t thought much about before running for pres.

I thought that it was so funny when I initially saw it, that I had been keeping my eyes peeled for it on youtube–I figured that someone would post it eventually (I’m doing a light rotation right now, so I have some time on my hands).

Anyway, I always liked Huckabee (as many people here know), but I agree with you that candidates probably do evolve and learn to think a lot more deeply about issues when they do something as arduous as run for POTUS.

That thing made twice in the last couple of weeks I’ve laughed until my sides hurt and tears were pouring. Probably overreaction in both cases but it still felt pretty doggone good.

        • Susannah

I’m glad to hear it. :-)

Mike Huckabee made some excellent points.

Never, EVER again to enter elective politics outside of his home state of AR.

    Ever.

    • Mr_Ed

      …to dump on ol’ Huck.

I’m starting to get misty-eyed reliving our RedState battle memories. Who knows…maybe we’ll get the chance to do this all over again in three years.

      • Susannah

        OOOh, you’re a riot Mr. Ed. :-)

Can’t tell you how much I enjoyed our repartees. Somehow I kinda doubt that we’ll be doing them again, but hey, I’ve been wrong before. And I’m sure we’ll enjoy them eversomuch again should that be the case. :-)

Government banks are needed to provide better services and protection to depositors. Having Uncle Sam hold the money is safer than having it held by private bankers. Americans should be given the choice of who watches their savings. These are hard times and millions of people are losing their money and jobs. One of the purposes of the stimulus bill is to provide immediate relief to the unemployed. Filling potholes and painting school rooms might not be important or necessary but it can provide 3 million pay checks to jobless Americans. This is not the time to condemn banking and work programs because they might be socialistic. Giving jobs and providing better banking services to Americans is all that matters.

but there’s still hope if you actually read the analyses here at RedState.

but I gotta give credit where it’s due: this was good stuff.

I think lots of folks will go for Huckabee next time around.

    Yeah! why not!

Given that there’s so little conservative leaning entertainment on TV, I think Mike is making a significant contribution right where he is.

I agree that it’s good that Huckabee’s filling a niche of funny conservative entertainment. Very good use of his gifts.

    • Ed54

Huck is our answer to Jon Stewart. We really need someone in the media who is conservative, funny, and not a blowhard. I wouldn’t vote for him for President, but then who in their right mind would vote Rush, Ann Coulter, or Bill O’Reilly for President either?

      • Susannah

ED54, I agree with you completely that Huck is a great representative for us in the media. Although Rush is entertaining and frequently makes good points, he can come across a little blow-hardish to people who aren’t conservative converts–as can O’Reilly (I watch O’Reilly all the time, but I can see how some people could find him over-whelming). Not to mention, Hannity is entertaining, but he repeats himself too much and frequently sounds like he’s regurgitating talking points. Huck conveys a certain warmness and has a relaxed ease about him that just makes people comfortable–and he doesn’t come across like he’s just reciting conservative dogma or demagoguing issues. It’s hard to explain, but I know “it” when I see it, and Huck’s definitely “got it”.
