MEMBER DIARY

This Guy Pretty Much Says It All.

Promoted by Caleb … Why aren’t Sheehan and the like called extremists for protesting but veterans are? GOOD QUESTION!

It’s really too bad that the media won’t cover this video from Midnight Blue.

But hey, it’s probably for the best with him being a “right-wing extremist” (translation-veteran) and all, right?

This diary is cross-posted on The Minority Report.

COMMENTS

  • Amy Miller

…because it proves that it’s not just those pesky, rich white people who are a tad up in arms over what the government is trying to do. Maybe we’re lucky that the screaming leftie mimis haven’t gotten a hold of this guy…they’d just smear him, twist his words, and turn him into Adolf Eichmann lite. (Not that I suspect he’d care.)

  • ColdWarrior

I know some of you here are very skilled in the ways of guerilla marketing with the web. If you agree that this video should go viral (the guy could be another “Joe the Plumber” — maybe “[name] the Air Force Vet.”
    Thank you.

    • Susannah

However, I also agree with Amy that the left could smear him just like they did Joe the Plumber. I just hope that doesn’t happen, and we must fight like hell to make sure that it doesn’t.

  • Maggie_in_Indiana

He nailed ‘em to the barn door. Viral video coming soon!

    • Susannah

I never come with my hat in my hand begging for reccos; however, this is different. If we want this video to go viral, then getting on the rec list would be a good start. :-)

How hurtful the scurrilous DHS report must be to veterans and their loved ones.

  • Susannah

    I really appreciate it. :-)

    • Caleb

      Let’s see it everywhere.

The Left/Dem’s better hope there are not more like him. My guess, by his comments about Bush, he voted for ZerO and is regretting that vote every day.

PS. I thought the TEA Parties we racist (sarc).

For those of you who can’t read rank, This man is a retired AF Master Sgt.

Gaining rank in the AF is usually slow compaired to other services, so in my humble opinion, an AF E-7 means more than say an Army or Marine Core E-7, because a USAF E-7 has been in for a longer amount of time.
(To those of you who are former Army or Marines, no offense.)

Anyway, when a retired E-7 gets angry, that’s a sign to take note of.

    • Uma Richie

My Navy eyes can’t make it out. Just curious.

any NATO operation. I know my kid has one for his time in Kosovo last year. Said never gotten a medal before for talking dirty with girls on chat rooms and playing video games. He was bored out of his mind and hated the place.

      • WarEagle01

Especially considering its precedence (top line).

        • Achance

Maybe it is color redition. I know my kid has one with the same pattern in blue and white for his Kosovo service.

        • From ME to You
          Purple Heart
          NATO Medal for Kosovo
          • Aaron Gardner

and the higher the awards the higher it is in the rows…plus this guy said he was a Vietnam Vet…the likelihood that he was serving in Kosovo as an E-7 almost 30 years later is slim.

          • http://hillbillypolitics.com Steph C

it’s not even so I think that’s an effect of the lighting on it. Plus the stripes on the side aren’t snow white but more like the white of the purple heart.

          • Achance

I went out and found my kid’s Army Uniform Guide that has all the medals and how to wear them. the Nato Medal doesn’t have the middle white stripe. The purple heart is purple and has thin white stripes at each end. So, it must be some sort of Air Force commendation medal since it is in the position of the highest precedence.

          • DONTREADONME

it has two white stripes near the center and two near the edge. There is too much phasing in the video to make it out. Unfortunately, between the resolution of the camera and my screen on my computer the center stripe is hard to make out. It rather looks like two white stripes with somethign in the center. If it is the distinguished flying cross that would be at the top of the commedation medals.

          • WarEagle01

Just watched it again and I saw the stripes in the middle. Probably a DFC. He’s also wearing aircrew wings, so that makes sense. I think he also has a medical badge, so he may have been a medevac crewman.

          • From ME to You
            Distinguished Flying Cross Ribbon

Could be! I like your precedence argument!

          • Uma Richie

            which means he earned this:

“The Distinguished Flying Cross is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity with the Armed Forces of the United States, distinguishes himself by heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight. The performance of the act of heroism must be evidenced by voluntary action above and beyond the call of duty. The extraordinary achievement must have resulted in an accomplishment so exceptional and outstanding as to clearly set the individual apart from his comrades or from other persons in similar circumstances. Awards will be made only to recognize single acts of heroism or extraordinary achievement and will not be made in recognition of sustained operational activities against an armed enemy.”

    • From ME to You

As a retired AF E-7 I can categorically state that we know how to use the system against you!

(BTW made mine in 15 yrs – fast burner!)

      • Wing Zero

I went to tech school with an E-6 who was reclassing from supply.

Her motto was “Show it to me in the AFI”

  • phred

I am disgusted that this very American and patriotic stand passes the man bites dog test. All the while the lefties are screaming racism, I call this AMERICANISM!

The money line is that “I’m more afraid of this President than the Viet Cong and al Qaida because this man is in MY White House.”

I’m with you Master Sergeant, and I’m telling everyone I see.

  • E Pluribus Unum

Woot Woot!!!! Susannah, not only slew the HTML dragons, but got on the FP!

    • Susannah

…with slaying the HTML dragons. :-)

The left has worked hard to misconstrue intent of the tea parties and lead the public to think we are only concerned about taxes. They are taking this line in order that democrats can come up with more and bigger programs to buy all of us off. This was hinted at in the infamous CNN video broadcast at the Chicago tax day protest. That protester at the beginning of the tape was trying to make a point about big government and Sue without a Clue stomped all over his sentences with the offer of gifts from Above.

    We will not be bought.

Recent events have escalated the attacks on our freedom and liberty with emphasis on intimidation through a leaked report from DHS, and now most recently the thrust has moved on to defaming our military and neutering our intelligence capability.

I believe the anti-defense agenda has been given a push up in priority just at this time to prepare for a summer of hate. What better way to try to derail the slowly dawning return to sanity as evidenced by our protest, than to put the red herring of torture out front and center with a garnish of Ministry of Truth hearings and investigations.

If we gather in our hundreds of thousands this summer to make heard our case against usurpation of liberty and freedom by the behemoth, then the amalgamated anti-war forces will need to be given a little juicing up with lightning flashes and electrodes in order to hog the ink and YouTube with the smelly class? profane slogans and potty-mouthing gestures.

Maybe I?ve been staying up too late this week, but the Obamunists should be (?) too smart to be going after the previous administration with all the bad stuff that is going on right now.

But in the PR war, which is the only war that this president is interested in and capable of waging to win, it behooves us to maintain our fight not only for our culture and morality, a return to fiscal responsibility and free markets, but of course most of all the cause so many have given their lives for and, as the gentleman in the video points out, we need to pursue actual terrorists not scapegoats conjured by the administration.

We will not be scapegoated. We will not be intimidated.

    • Susannah

“We will not be scapegoated. We will not be intimidated.” I love it! :-)

      • redneck_hippie

deserves much credit for being the jumping off point, along with all of the beautiful American people who stood up, with or without a mic, and said this far and no further! Exceptionalism is important and it is demonstrated every day for those who are not hypnotized by the fog of razzamatazz that WAS surrounding our leader until people saw through it and saw something fundamental.

He is not without parallel – he is without apparel.

  • Wing Zero

I’m so glad Dick Cheney asked for declassification of these memos.

    My new motto

    We are so screwed.

  • Wing Zero

It looks like he was a medic, and possibly air crew. Who knows how many lives this guy has saved.

If he was in Vietnam, he probably came in on a helo and helped drag wounded service members back to the helo and patched them up.

  • Susannah

I totally forgot to write this in a comment on Wednesday when this was on the front page, but please click on the link to Midnight Blue in this diary (the source of this video) and go there and Digg it if you haven’t already so that it will get as much publicity as possible. Thanks. :-)
