MEMBER DIARY

Michelle Malkin Spanks the Ladies of The View.

First of all, this video clearly demonstrates how one smart woman armed with the facts can easily smack down an entire TV show panel armed with only “Hope and Change” and “Bush Lied”. Second of all, in this video, Michelle Malkin effectively points out that, not only is Barack Obama not the white knight that he sold himself to be, but that he also might be more corrupt (or at the very least as corrupt) than most of the previous occupants of the White House. Oh, and on a side note, he’s also one of the least qualified occupants of the White House as well–scary, huh?

PS–Don’t you just love the way Sherri Shepherd angrily asks Michelle Malkin, “So what do you want me to do with this stuff?” Typical Obama voter–”Please don’t bother me with those troublesome facts. Just give me more unicorn farts and pixie dust.”

This diary is cross-posted on The Minority Report.

I wouldn’t normally watch “The View” or anything associated with it. Michelle Malkin did a wonderful job of handling a handfull of raging libs and she definately came off as the most reasonable person in the room.

    • Susannah

I’m glad that you liked it. :-)

And I agree, Michelle Malkin did come across as the only reasonable person on the stage (besides Elizabeth Hasselbeck who didn’t really say all that much).

  • http://www.fredsnews.com Fred Maidment

…truer words may never have been spoken before or since…

  • Nick Haynes

was that, after Michelle Malkin stating that the only retorts that libs have had are “Well, Bush did it too,” and after Joy Behar had already been smacked down for pulling the rubber-glue argument before Michelle’s smackdown…well, Joy did it to close the interview. The only thing she did throughout the entire interview was the rubber-glue argument.

Tell me again: why do people find her compelling enough to listen to her for an hour a day, 5 days a week?

    • Richard Mullins

and watching this makes this point more real.

      • George Claghorn

Joy Behar is not “fairly stupid.” She is one of the stupidest things that ever walked this earth.

If she has not figure that the O is tanking, I don’t have much hope for her.

please she is an entertainer dontcha know????

  • E Pluribus Unum

They did their best to derail, to obfuscate, to change the topic, and to throw out lie after lie after lie. Anything to keep MM from getting her message across.

    And failed.

    • George Claghorn

Their attempts were entirely piss-poor. For effort, on a scale of 1 to 10, I give them — oh, let’s see — a negative 9,000,000,000.

And thanks for posting this Susannah. Michelle was also on Levin tonight. She’s a marvelous woman who’s also a fighter. Mark gave her high praise for not only her book but for going on these lefty shows and standing firm against the spin attempts.

      • Susannah

And thanks for commenting. It’s good to hear from you. :-)

        • http://www.redstate.com/tnjim TNJim

but Michelle pretty well takes Matt Lauer apart here, too:

I love the look on Lauer’s face when the video ends. He looks like he’s glad that segment was over!
Good to hear from you, too. Hope you had a great time in ATL!

          • Justin_Case

What a great way to start the day: Malkin eats Matt Lauer’s lunch.

          • Susannah

Awesome video–thanks for posting it. I had a blast in Atlanta. I’m sorry that I didn’t see you there. Oh well, maybe next year. :-)

          • Ward_Off_Monkey

I already downloaded the View video yesterday and emailed to family, friends and burned to CDs to give/show to coworkers. Downloading is the only way I can get some of these very educational videos to coworkers because YouTube is blocked so emailed links won’t work. Glad to see Susannah post it here because it just shows how one smart conservative armed with facts can take apart any argument the libs put up. I think I’ll download this one too and pass it around.

btw, any idea if Alexander or Corker are going to have any townhall meetings? I see where Cooper has scheduled a couple.

          • Gammy

Thank you for posting this. She is doing a great job!

    • Cheryl

Michelle did great, thanks for posting this Susannah, there is no program I work harder not to see than The View.

      • Susannah

I’m glad that you liked it. :-)

So true. She is awesome! Ms. Malkin is so direct and to the point while still classy. AMAZING!!

was my entry to EPU’s first contest of “what would you rather do than watch Obama’s healthcare speech.” Someone, had put beets with that View watching and I agreed that would really do me in…

Joy’s comment of how conservatives are a “different group of thinking” was down right insulting. What’s wrong with wanting honesty and right and wrong to be the same for everyone? I know I am being unkind, but I can’t help but say Joy is one of the most obnoxious, condescending liberals out there.

But I did notice one thing, I thought there was some acceptance from the audience for Michelle throughout the segment. Also, at the end there was applause for their taking home a copy of her book. I think that audience was engaged with Michelle.

And again, I want to tell you how much I enjoyed meeting and talking with both you and your husband at the Gathering. You are an amazing person and I look forward to more of your work.

    • Susannah

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting both you and your husband. It was so much fun talking to you both. You are awesome people. I can’t wait till next year. :-)

Oh, and yes, I agree that Joy Behar is utterly obnoxious and rude (she couldn’t even look at McCain when he went on the show), which is what makes it all the more delicious when Malkin eats her lunch in this video.

And finally, I think that eating brussel sprouts while watching The View would be worse than eating beets (I can tolerate beets), but neither would be my idea of a good time.

    • eburke

the last week and a half so…who were the winner(s) as I don’t seem to be able to find a link to it.

If Aaron didn’t get at least *something* for his Henry Waxman nose hair/lawn mower picture, I may need to drive down to the Lone Star State and personally score him a shirt from Mr. Unum.

    • Flagstaff

grammar aside, conservatives are a “different group of thinking.?

We think clearly. We use logic. We are sometimes introspective. Very different.

When was the last time you could say that about a liberal “progressive”?

  • bk

She keeps quoting what someone wrote about the book as being a fact from the book rather than pulling a quote from the book.

She and Joy are so freaking clueless.
“Why don’t you want to move on from Bush?”
    - Uh, maybe because he’s not the President any more?
    “What would you suggest instead?”
    - Well, how about sticking to promises regarding lobbyists, transparency, hopey-changey, etc.?

  • dudette

OOooh Joy Behind is so obviously out of fire power and out classed by Malkin …lovely!!! she and elisabeth are so drop dead gorgeous–my goodness, poor Joy is a living example of diversity in full bloom there!

There isn’t enough space here to place the number of ‘lobstahs’ (as we say here in Maine) to properly rate the Malkin performances!

    • Susannah

Thanks so much for the adorable lobsters.

Oh, and it’s good to see you around again. :-)

      • From ME to You

especially when I see myself in the mirror every morning! That way I know I’m alive.

When you’re my age, your future under Obamacare™ is bleak!

  • MisterO

    in the room is great.

Purporting reasonable facts under a reasonable timeline is better.

    Here’s the context:
You cannot state that a president that has been in office for 8 months could be compared to a president that has been in office for 8 years, to do so is UNREASONABLE. That is where conservatives fail horribly and lose the most credibility.

It goes to flexibility: Most people don’t know what’s going on in their job within 3 years. We expect the president to have at least 1 in office before a full criticism is warranted. Not a few months. The timeline is an EPIC FAIL.
Her demands for information and accountability should first go to the Bush Administration, and then in 2011, to the Obama administration.
A book generated touting failure within 6 months of an (basically guaranteed) 4-year administration of an American presidency, proves a design to foment dissent and possibly treason rather than expose misconduct.

This is a nation of law, and the law demands a reasonable attempt to execute/prevent / protect / defend. A statement as absolute as the one presented is unreasonable and therefore does not conform to national standards of the application of law – and the basis for the republic.

    • Susannah

OK Sparky, let me get this straight. According to you, any criticism of Obama within the first year of his presidency is “designed to foment dissent and possibly treason” and “therefore does not conform to national standards of the application of law – and the basis for the republic”. My, just a few years ago when Bush was president (and he was criticized during the first year of his presidency), you people were saying that “Dissent is the highest form of patriotism”–now, you want to label people who dare to criticize The One as “traitors”. I’m sorry, but this is really rich–even for a ridiculous troll like yourself.

Oh, Moe, pretty please get the hook. Normally I display a higher level of tolerance for these types of doofuses; however, a charge of treason is something that I just can’t abide.

      • Susannah

You don’t even seem to disagree with any of what Michelle Malkin actually said about the Obama Administration, just WHEN she said it– because it was less than a year into Obama’s presidency. So, if she had written the exact same book six months from now, would you still be calling her a “traitor”? Pathetic.

      • Susannah

        I appreciate it. :-)

        • Flagstaff

Think how many more responses his ill-conceived comment could have garnered. There were lots more items to pick apart in those few paragraphs. He was close on one thing, though.

Michelle was not only the most reasonable “looking” person at the table, she was the most reasonable person at the table.

      • eburke

…you know how impatient and intolerant I get around leftist cretins. I promise to try and be more patient next time while you get the blam stick out of the closet

::he says shuffling off dejectedly to his room :-(

        • Susannah

I have no patience or tolerance at all for leftist cretins dumping all over my threads by implying that we are all committing “treason” by criticizing The One.

    • Vegas_Rick

During his first eight months he’s appointed a chorus line of tax cheats, created more czars than Russia, many of which are self-described commies, socialists and eugenicists.

He?s apologized to the world for everything (right or wrong) that America has ever done.

He?s more than quadrupled the national debt by borrowing more money than all previous Presidents combined.

He is systematically dismantling our military and destroying relationships with long-standing staunch allies.

He?s disregarded the constitution in his zeal to nationalize banks, auto companies and the healthcare and energy industries.

And he?s managed to turn American against American.

Yeah. We need to wait a while before we pass judgment.

      Dipstick!

the principle of the thing for penning something this non-sensical and idiotic:

“This is a nation of law, and the law demands a reasonable attempt to execute/prevent / protect / defend.”

Where on God’s earth do they *find* these people?

    • eburke

      I did.

      (I think)

  • lukematthews

She really made her points. Michelle is a prime example of how we must make these people question the Obama’s administration’s tactics and behaviors. The czars are really the Achilles Heel of this corrupt group of thugs that the press must expose. The amount of power these unelected, unregulated people have is very dangerous. I don’t think the general public even knows about these people, who are wingnuts for the most part, and the press refuses to even glance in their general direction. Perhaps Malkin’s appearance will give pause and question to ordinary citizens. Maybe their demand for information will force the state-run press to publish the administration’s actions. We may have some hope and change after all.
